Words can’t express my anger, disappointment and frustration. I was here last night, very hungry and decided to stretch a little further into my pocket with the hope of having a good meal.The meal was nowhere near decent. I ordered a rib on the bone, it’s was VERY dry. I ordered a medium, this was simply overcooked no juices by any chance and probably just tough meat??? Do not get me started on the temperature, it was seconds away from cold. Salad didn’t look fresh either. The lettuce had those brown bits all over.When I left, I passed through MacDonalds to get myself a meal. Pure robbery, simply turn the place into a bar because yikes. My money gone down the drain. What a shame.

Its okay, we were having a relaxing Sunday afternoon until the manager walked in a decided to turn the music volume up to a point where you cant even have a decent conversation. Finished our drinks and left. Newscafe Woodmead is a better bet if you want to spend time with friends and also be able to have a conversation.

My girlfriend got one of the chickpea burgers from here and fell terribly ill from food poisoning straight after. It made her incredibly sick for about 2 week after. Very upset with this complete lack of regard for the wellbeing of customers as this goes far beyond the simple taste or quality of food. Would not recommend to anyone, I would suggest completely avoiding this café.

Service is not their strong point. They are slow, get orders mixed up - and just generally do not seem to really care about customer experience. Dont expect a waiter to ever come by - you will call them.If youre trying to order to pick up - good luck ever getting a hold of them.Its as if they make it as hard as possible for customers to get anything out of them. Its actually just annoying.

Its a decent place with and situated at a corner. Service was professional and COVID protocols were maintained. The music was too loud and you have to speak louder sitting next to each other.

Very relaxed place with friendly staff. The music got too loud later on in the day so be sure to time meetings early for a quieter setting and stick around for a lively setting as the sun goes down.

Nice News Cafe which is conveniently located around the corner at Sand Ridge, free open parking at the cenitre. The place has 2 levels with a small dance floor at the top - not sure if thats still there. The place is really busy after pay day at the end of the month. Like really busy, you will only know what I mean if you drive pass or visit it when its busy - its busy on another level.

Stunning setup. Really looks different from the old one. Totally loved their new cocktails very fancy. Sunday old school soul playlist by DJ Robbie T topped it all off. I recommend all to visit. Very refreshing change from all the other restuarants/bars in the area

Once a popular meeting spot and hive of after work activity, Newscafes have come a long way.I made a quick stop at this Midrand version to hasten time. I requested a latte and everything was as good as perfect. From the moment I walked in - clean, open, fresh and welcoming. My waitron was professional and helpful.Will I come back for a proper meal? Lets see...

The service was extremely poor and the portion of food made me feel cheated. For R150 it was a sad affair. I would like this to be noted. I was not happy when I left.

Coffee was served with hot milk even though cold milk was requested. The beetroot muesli was terrible and the hollandaise sauce had way too much lemon. Wont eat there again. Restaurant was empty but we waited a long time for our food.

Absolutely terrible place. Tables are full of old burn marks, waiters performing maintenance tasks while we were seated, coffee beans used as a garnish were old and stale and the coffee was weak and flavorless. The staff were lackluster and no one looked like they were there to help. Even the manager looked disinterested while reading his newspaper at the bar counter.

Nice place and good people around, but you guys need to advertising a bit your place to have more movement...
