Overall experience was below average.Our work team went out for a celebration and the booking was made however they were not prepared.The drinks was exceptional. The steelworks was the best I have ever had.The food and service however was below par. Our work team mostly ordered pizzas because of a pizza special only to be told there was not enough pizza bases.Everyone ordered pizzas containing 2 toppings pizzas as stipulated by special only to discover you had to order special with pineapple and ham instead of Hawaiian to get the special.Other than that a colleague returned the lamb burger because it tasted funny.My beef burger was good and chips was crispy.The special debacle however ruined the whole experience. Sadly we will not be returning to this venue for the next events.

Every course cooked to absolute perfection. Cocktails were divine. Definitely going back for more.

The worst service witnessed in my entire life.- Reservation wasn’t made as requested- Reservation details missed as a result- Was informed 10mins after order was madethat they don’t have enough pizza bases sosome had to change their order.- Those who got pizza had to pay full pricebecause no one said “we want the pizzaspecial” even though our pizza met the specialcriteria.- One of us that couldn’t order a pizza ordered alamb burger only to find that the patty wasorange in color, had a soy taste and raw.- They brought an extra pizza that no oneordered.- Some of us had extra drinks on their slip thatwas never ordered.- Staff is rudeThe best part is that we were the only customers. This place doesn’t deserve any business. An absolute circus!

Convenient location for business meetings, or a quick lunch. Nicely placed in the middle of Sandton and Pretoria. Service is good and have a nice menu. There is a kiddies play area to keep the kids busy, with outdoor seating. The place is split into a coffee shop like area and a restaurant area. Think the toilets can get a refresh.

If you are looking for somewhere where you can kick back, where you get almost all your orders wrong, where friendliness goes to die and where there is hidden clauses to the specials, then this is the place for you!!!Advice to anyone planning to go there. Rather ask you dead house plant to make you some food and you will give that a 5 stars rating compared to this excuse of a restaurant.

We got the best service, and all the covid 19 rules were followed, there were sanitizers every where n they. Made sure people maintain social distancing

The restaurant has good potential and is a nice place to get a drink from the bar. However the staff was rude and the waitress was very confused. The food was also below par and the so called pizza special they had with 2 toppings is misleading because you have to say I want a pizza with bacon and pineapple and not a Hawaiian. Last time I checked a bacon and pineapple pizza is 2 toppings and is called a Hawaiian.

Great place to host an event. You have various areas to choose from for your private event of any size. The staff is really friendly and attentive. Their platters where a little pricey and their juice as well (R120 for 1litre of juice).

I order a freezo and a capri pizza today. It was terrible!! I found hair in both of my drinks and it was tasting like someone use something that wasnt cleaning to do the drinks. And do not let me start with the pizza. It was horrible. I am extremely disappointed

Only rating 1 because theres no zero rating. I had the worst experience ever. The owner watches you all the time to make sure you dont eat anything that you did not buy from the store. Thimey communicated that we cant eat our own cupcakes and stuff, were adults we understood that. But for them to keep checking up on us was creepy and made the whole experience uncomfortable.

Nice atmosphere and music. New staff need to be trained better otherwise staff is quite friendly. Food is average but well priced.

Great party spot. Small and good for group night outs. Great house music in the evening with the DJ playing vinyls sometimes. Dont drink and drive, cops just outside the venue.

So nice food nice vibe. When the secure parking is full, rather choose another restaurant as the outside parking is not safe. Tried and tested. Now i have zero sound in my car.

As a group of nine work friends we made a booking at Plantation Cafe. I dont know why there are so many bad reviews because the waiters were excellent during our lunchtime visit. Our food was on time and the drinks too. Our steaks were slightly more cooked than ordered but not by much. Most of us had the mushroom steak and loved it. Cant fault Plantation and will be back

Great place to have after work drinks on a Friday. Theres even some music to make it even more vibey. However it gets quite loud so not ideal if you like conversations with your mates. The food isnt that bad, had a wrap which wasnt good. But the chips and the platters are quite delicious 😋

Not well organized, not friendly, not great service. And Manager was very rude. Also the food was not the best from a slow kitchen..

Difficult to find any parking. We ordered a pizza amdawhen it came, most of the ingredients on it was still raw. We just very nicely asked if they could cook it a bit better. The manager then arrived and proceeded to argue with me on the ways one should cook a pizza. By that time we just wanted to leave.

The food was good but nothing worth what we paid to use the place. We hired this place for a baby shower and it wasnt as great as the pictures make it seem. The staff were good as we were the only ones there.

First time at Plantation - we arrived at about 2:30pm. Very few patrons in the restaurant... it was definitely not during any lunch time rush. Our waiter was pleasant enough. The service from the kitchen was very slow. We were offered chopped chilli and parmesan cheese which came when there were 2 slices of pizza left. One staff member was serving a table next to us while talking on the phone - flabbergasted! The food was just ok. We in no hurry to go back.Lastly, some kind of uniform (branded t-shirts at least) for the staff would go a long way in creating a professional look.

Nice hang out with music, drinks and traditional food in one place. Mature crowd too!

My very 1st time going there & wow, I had the best night ever. The music was loud but interesting, food was delish, the staff attended to us in a very satisfactory manner, the reception was warm & I was happy to security guard standby & ready for anything. I wish to go back there in the near future👌👌👌

Our experience was not very pleasant. We had booked and paid (We were initially told the venue hire is free, then we were expected to pay) for our venue more than a month in advance and the venue lost all the information we had given them , twice, in respect of our menus, times and advertising on their website.They removed the furniture we had booked with the venue, lost our menus, bullied us out of our scheduled time and had another group interrupt our event to set up their props while we were still in the middle of our speakers presenting.We felt bullied and treated with great prejudice. We wont be using them again!!!! We have made the same recommendation to our network of 1000 consultants.

The service here was horrible. We came in on a Wednesday afternoon during our lunch hour. My friend ordered a steak and instead of letting us know that they don’t have steak, they made us wait for over 45 minutes before telling us. We ended up taking our food as takeaway and all they could do was apologize and offer an extra free drink and when I declined, charged me for the initial drinks I bought. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all, but it was still a rarity to see our waiter and we had to wait a long time to flag him down because he didn’t come around to our section after taking our orders. I paid for a restaurant experience and had to end up eating my food in the car. I’ll never go back (which is saying something since I work at the international business gateway). Save yourself time and go somewhere else.

Great food, great atmosphere and central location

This place has the slowest service Ive seen in a long time. The food is not bad but the plates are worn and I swear it looks like they spray painted it, because some of the paint came of when I cut into my dish.

We had the worst service there. We were the only people in the restaurant and the staff didnt pay much attention to us, even street multiple requests to get their attention.Upon arrival we were told the kitchen would be closing shortly after having pre-booked and not told that the time we wanted was too late. Once our orders we placed we were then told it would take 40 minutes for our food to be ready, only it took 1 hour and 20 minutes.The waitress didnt even come check on us without us having to call her first!
