Love the fact the we can watch our kids at all times. Play area has 1 entrance and a camera. There are tvs all over the restaurant so you can watch the kids without getting up every 5mins.The staff are super friendly!

To start, what an amazing restaurant for the area! Food was spectacular and extremely well priced, kids LOVED the sushi (for kids)the portions are large and well prepared, cooks to perfection, service wes great and kids area was away from dinning hall, so that works great for noisy kids! I was more that happy with everything we received and the overall feeling was Great! I really did have a good time!

Wonderful atmosphere and service

I have high standards so I cant rate this place more than 3 stars. The sushi was edible. They didnt have stock of several types of alcohol or cold drinks and didnt offer to run across the road to the Pick n Pay to buy what we wanted.The indoor play area is clean enough but small and very noisy. I would suggest better training for the kitchen staff and waiters.

We were looking to buy property in the area and came across Rock n Sole in Meyerton. They serve a good variety of seafood as well as some grills. I had a good rump steak, my wife had grilled sole. We were both satisfied with our meals. Prices are reasonable, staff friendly, generally all round good family restaurant.

We are from Melville, Johannesburg and spend most of our weekends as well as the whole of December in the Meyerton area. Rock ‘n Sole became our dining room away from home. The owner, Johan, runs so many specials that it is almost impossible to match the cost by cooking for ourselves.Where else can two people enjoy an omelet each for R42 in total?This year’s Christmas lunch was the best deal for money we ever had. A three-course meal for R135.00 pp was a perfect Christmas family lunch.Living in Melville, we got the same quality in the past for double the price in Johannesburg restaurants.Rock ‘n Sole, you guys are rocking. We hope that you will feed us for many years to come.

I have been pleasantly surprised by service, food and prices in this adorable little book in Meyerton Central. A great option to the traditional longtime options of this small town.A great place to get your seafood fix.

Your Christmas dinner was fantastic. Value for the money paid for delicious food. Was a three course meal for under R150.00 per person. Impossible to match on Chrismasday in the food industry.

Service..... what service???? Got served expired ice tea, no apology or refund. Didnt receive my food order with my friends, had to watch them eat. Only received my food when everyone was finished. Had to take a take away. Waiters need to be trained properly!!!!

The food is Devine not badly priced and more than enough per serving. The service is very good. Definitely will be going back regularly

Did not enjoy our last meal. Steak was full of sinew, side plates were not cleaned properly. Always enjoyed every visit always had the best service and best quality food. Get back on track guys.

Loved the food and the Manager and Staff were SO helpful, and polite. Could not believe how large the portions were. and their new outside area is going to be amazing in summer, other restaurants in the area, have nothing close to what Rock n Sole offers.

We ordered the calamari special as a starter, but the chips were very oily and slap, we complained and they replaced the old slap chips with fresh slap chips.......we weren’t impressed as we specifically asked for crispy chips! My husband ordered the 250g fillet steak, unfortunately it was full of sinew (silver skin) My son had the calamari quattro, which he enjoyed thoroughly, I had garlic mussels and a salmon hand roll, which was satisfactory. My husband complained to the “operator” about his steak, all he could say was “I’m sorry “, we said he should inform his supplier or chef, as the sinew should have been removed before cooking!! If we ever decide to go there again, we definitely won’t have the steak ! The service was good though at least, but I wasn’t impressed with the “operator’s” response!! Invoice no. 3612.

The service was not what it usually is. The food though is excellent. They dont stock non-alcoholic beer, which my son enjoys. He had to drink mango juice.

I have no idea why we tried to have breakfast at this dreadful place again as we had a terrible experience the previous time but since we give people the benefit of the doubt and decided to give them another chance and since their website and outdoor ads state they serve breakfast from 07:00, we arrived at 7:45 with the chairs on top of the tables and staff washing floors. We were told that the previous and present owner are still at logger heads about the hours on the website - not my problem. Once again, we had to wait in excess of 30minutes for coffee as the machine was warming up, service slooooooow and the meal mediocre. Breakfast at this establishment will thus most definitely not be an option again.

Needed an night out with the misss and kids, why we didnt try you guys sooner since we moved here blows me away, more places need to have your attention to detail.

Atmosphere for the Greek evening was awesome with the belly dancers. The veggies was VERY good. But I must complain it was the worst 300g rump that I had in a long time, and to wait 20min for first drink are also not nice.....

The breakfast was really nice and affordable. Their Calamari steak is always soft and delicious.

Rock n Sole is absolutely amazingStaff is very friendlyThe food doesnt take long to arrive, is top notch and full of mouthwater flavour!I personally love salmon and I have it every time I go and I havent been let down yet!The sushi is also great. The only thing I would add on is the amount of ginger and wasabi helpings.If youre in the mood for surf or turf, Rock n Sole will not let you down!

Service was slow even though there were only 3 other patrons. Cheese griller all shriveled up, raw chunk of tomatoe in stead of fried, toast was cold, eggs overcooked, Railway coffee served with lumpy, stale condensed milk. Definitely not worth getting up early for a Saturday breakfast.

The best fish restaurant, in my opinion, this far inland. Do yourself a favor and order a Hake n Chips. You be the judge.

I wish I had ordered something else. I was intrigued by the Sushi burger which boasted a grilled rice bun with seared salmon or tuna and wasabi dressing. The rice bun didnt hold up and had to be broken down and eaten with a fork - not what one expects of a burger. It made up the bulk of the meal however; I think I didnt get more than two bites with salmon. The wasabi at least was conspicuously present.That being said, the atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable and the wait staff were friendly and extremely helpful. My colleague had the Sushi burger with tuna and seemed quite satisfied. Next time I will go with steak.

2 Staff members were discussing my loss of hair I think it was utterly out of place and vèry disturbing. Only when my daughter asked them what seems to be their problem they turned around with a smile on their faces... I had to control my husband through the whole meal not to confront them so I did nòt enjoy our visit at àll. We were after that weary of receiving special orders. Your starters were great... my chicken and stirfry was not nice at all.. dry and tasteless. Steak was overdosed with tenderiser and your susi was dry... your menu does not state there is no cucumber or avo served with the californian salmon rolls the rice was also dry and smelt old... our waiter was fantastic she also kept het cool when we walked in and 4 diners already seated made an ugly comment about my daughter who is lesbian. So yeah whàt an experience... maybe thats just how Meyerton people are.... your place is nice and clean our little one enjoyed the play area.
