Beautifully decorated restaurant with a lovely fireplace. Spent a lovely evening there and our party had the lamb shank, a pork belly and the mutton curry. Being from the city one does not expect such a special restaurant in a small village like Henley, what a lovely surprise! All three dishes were beautifully presented and tasted great! So lovely to find a restaurant where you are made to feel special and the cuisine is such a treat. Service was also very good. Thank you very much Mark and staff!

We had a delightful ladies lunch at The Hound, we found the restaurant refreshingly creative and the food was excellent. The vegetarian options are great. We were so well looked after and it was absolutely worth the trip from Johannesburg. Highly recommended

Service was slow and they only informed us when we got the bill that they had no eggs and had to wait for the owner to get. Food was good.

It Was our First time there it was so pleasant. Mark and staff was so accommodating food was excellent. Screens between tables so felt very safe in these covid times.

Pork Belly Perfection.Hidden away in Henley on Klip is a restaurant called The Hound. It’s classy and homely. The food is scratch made and the flavors are layered. The presentation is what you would expect at a fine dining venue. We have eaten our way through half the menu and it keeps getting better. They make the best Pork Belly I have ever eaten.I’ll let the pictures of the food do the rest of the talking.

At the Hound for 60th birthday lunch.Food was very good.Atmosphere very good.Waiters friendly and efficient. As the food is fresh and cooked with love,it is a bit slower to get your food.But once you have is great and tasty.

I am always so impressed. Great vegetarian options. I had my favourite vegetable stack and my partner had the vegetarian pizza. My only suggestion is that maybe they need outdoor heaters for when it is cold.

My motorcycle club had a block booking for 15 people for a Sunday breakfast and requested a single table outside. During the preceding week, the numbers of people wanting to join grew as each day passed. I liaised continuously with The Hound who went out of our their way to accommodate our ever growing numbers which finally ended up at 36!! As requested, two outside tables greeted us, the service was amazing and the food good. Also, they provided us with split bills which most other venues refuse point blank to do. So full kudos to The Hound... now we know why it’s one of our favorite Sunday breakfast venues!!
