Beautiful outdoor seating, friendly and welcoming staff.However, we were told the malva pudding formed part of the three course meal Sunday special, so we ordered it - but found out only after we finished our meal that it isnt included in the special at all, so we were forced to pay a higher price while on a limited budget. R46.00 for a slice of malva pudding is a bit outrageous, honestly

To be fair the expectations were low, as previous visits over recent years were not great. With new management it was time to return.Most at my table had the limited Sunday Special menu.. which was apparent value, and looked ok .and verdict at table were very happy with choices and flavor on eating when food arrived...so that was positive.I ordered off the main menu...as I wanted the Seafood Bisque..The Seafood bisque starter was ok.. but too much thickening agent so a bit stodgy and subtle flavours lost and not noticeable... portion also very small. Not what it used to be over the years.My main meal was the grilled Calamari steak...off the main menu. Not special menu.There was no option of lemon butter sauce or garlic sauce offered by waiter. Was oddly served with a tartar sauce . . standard.The Steak portion was quite small..it was tender but no flavor from the grill or the bland tartar sauce.Very basic presentation with baked potato that was very unbaked...no garnish at all.The dismay found that the same size Steak portion is served with the special menu meal ? but I paid nearly R40 more... not sure I got good value..but lesson learnt.Attention to detail of service from our waiter was not good from the start. Management tried to rectify the service experience but clearly not enough training or experience to make the lunch a relaxing affair..Wine list was ok. Spier Chardonnay was a winner.Verdict. Disappointed that there still no on the mark Seafood restaurant I would return to on the lower south coast...

Great food, great atmosphere. My wife and I enjoyed a lovely dinner here. To quote her this was the best seafood that I have ever eaten. I fully agree with her. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Great work guys.

The kitchen is very slow, as they mentioned when walking in and on the menu... So no quickies. The food was perfect in every way. The staff is friendly and price is a bit high for the portions. Overall good restaurant with wide range of selection, in a good location.

We come from Johannesburg and expect to have fresh fish when we come to a coastal restaurant. The fish was the same as in Joburg. No water in the toilets, at least they had a bucket here😳. They cant really help for the water supply, but it was still an terrible experience. The staff and owners are so friendly and so nice which made the experience a bit better.

Really enjoyed a pleasurable Sunday lunch with a fixed price 3 course set menu. Chose the Greek salad (leave the French side dressing), deliciously grilled, as ordered , a 200 gm. juicy sirloin steak served with fried potato chips/ rice/ vegetables and finished off the meal with a goodly portion of vanilla ice-cream and chocolate sauce. Paired with a Darling sauv./ chenin blanc. All for R95p.p. excl. wine. R85.Friendly and polite service in the enclosed garden setting made the meal most enjoyable on a sunny but chilly winters afternoon. My companions were similarly enchanted. Cant go wrong.

My family and I waited over an hour for our food.Seafood was good. Pasta was bland.I cant say it was worth the wait. Dont go if you havent planned to wait an 1 and a half for your food.

Really good old schools seafood , this place has been around for ages , 1 kg prawns special is always a winner as well as the crayfish thermadore .Tried the calamari rings as well , it was ok , however overall all the meals were good and the service was excellent .

What a wonderful end to my short break. Greeted by friendly staff and treated to a phenomenal meal! The Prawn Thai Red Curry is out of this world delicious....for those who like some heat, ask for their in-house peri-peri sauce on the side...simply delicious! Seafood pasta was also fantastic (white sauce but again add some peri-peri for added flavour)Definitely a place to return to, so if u looking for some good food down the south coast you gotta try this place!!

Best seafood platter in town!

Upon arrival we were told there was a table for us and it wasnt an issue that we didnt book. However when we said wed just like to order drinks we were told no we should leave. The service was shockingly rude.

Excellent friendly service, we ordered the Scampi, Dorado and Lamb curry, all delicious and served in good timing.. probably one of the first Fish restaurants where the lamb curry was as good if not better than the fish meals..Would definitely recommend to try when in Ramsgate.

The food is excellent, the service is amazing. The food takes time its fresh, it is worth the wait and visit. The ambiance is good for family and a friendship gathering. The staff does an amazing job, they are patient, understanding and they give the best service.

Lunch was wonderful. My ONLY complaint was the tiny salad. I opted to exchange rice for salad and expected a proportionate exchange, but was given a saucer with a tiny salad. It was fresh, and the prawns were cooked perfectly, so I can recommend them.

This is a lovely Restaurant in Ramsgate KZN. The prawns were superb and the service was excellent. Goodman was friendly and very attentive to all our needs. Definitely one of my favourite Restaurants.

Food was of very low standard and disappointing. The fish portions were paper thin, tiny and not fresh, neither was the calamari fresh. The portion of fries were very small. Hard to believe we were so close to the sea and we didnt have fresh seafood. The service was slow but at least the wine glass was new, still had a price tag on. Overall bad vlaue for money. Our family will definitely choose another restaurant next time.
