A place full of history. The old mission station including the school, church and gardens are still in good condition. An enjoyable piece of history about Livingston and the Moffat family, and the first Setswana Bible. It is a self guided tour but still an interesting place to visit if you are in Kuruman.
Disgracefully not maintained......run down ......staff sitting around on their phones . Only a matter of time.......
The mission is trying to assist a lot of community members from al walks of life.
The press room were locked. We would like to read and look at the info on the walls. Plastic bottles infront of Livingstons house is not a good idea.
Nice experience I had with my lady seeing, reading&touching some of the things they used before we were born...that was a time travel to 1955 as their cash book stated for a day.and my lady felt like some of the people still lives in some of the house...any who its her not me.and please UNLOCK the other rooms Im saving my two stars for that.
This historical landmark needs an infrastructure funding injection to attract tourist to the Kuruman and surroundings.Building needs refurbishing, rooms, showers, tiles painting furnishers, dinningroom, lecture rooms, aircondition, maybe a solarplant to provide electricity and move off the grid.
Its outdated!!!Needs attention and renovation
An iconic piece of old London Missionary Society history. It is built in desert-like miles-from-anywhere scrub, but 5 miles from major water source, The Eye (oasis) which is super generous with precious water. A must is to visit the cemetery, where one faces the reality of the true sacrifices the missionaries made.
Definitely worth the visit. This museum, hamlet nearly, gives amazing insight into the lives of the missionaries and into David Livingstone who lived there for some period of time and married one of the Moffats daughters. Showcases their printing press, school room, etc. As with many such places in S.A. it is slightly run-down, hopefully will receive the TLC it needs in the future.
It is difficult to share any opinion because it looked a little bit a dilapidated but I would not know how it should look normally
Had a wedding there. Great location and the architecture of the place is great for wedding pics. The staff was super helpful.
What a special place with an atmosphere of deep peace. Very well maintained. Really worth a visit. A wonderful tribute to the energy and vision of the missionaries of the 19th century.
Very interesting place. Open until 17:00. Lots of information on the work or Robert Moffat. The school house is particularly informative.Unfortunately the library and book shop were closed for the holidays.
Not in good condition
Historic. David Livingstones house
Values and passions vary from one generation to the next. This may have been great in its heyday but now its a museum reflecting the past...
Unusual history... Very interesting could do with a some restoring
Can be cleaned, groomed and security measures can be improved...
Historic place. Where the first tswana Bible was translated from English by Mr Moffat. In kuruman area
Lovely to take a step into the passed in beautiful kept buildings and grounds
Place needs to be maintained better
My second visit after seven years. Although the historical buildings are still in fair condition its been repurposed as a rural education centre.
Nice place. Unfortunately this is not being advertised much.
A very inspirational, historical and moving place to visit
Good for conferences, presentations etc. Affordable. Friendly kitchen staff
An incredible piece of history well preserved. Thanks for making this available to the public

The place needs lots of TLC.
Awesome historical site
Was not open at the time shown on a Saturday and we delayed our travel by 2-hours especially to go and buy a book for a friend.
Its a beautiful place with rich history. Unfortunately things are falling apart and sometimes the buildings are locked.
