The establishment offers a reasonable variety of food and drinks.The staff is friendly, welcoming and engaging which makes the experience worthwhile.It was wonderful to have the chef visit the table and engage with us around the food and the taste experience.They play good music in the background which still allows you to have conversations with your party, and hear the indistint chatter in the background. The establishment is spacious and very well positioned.Their toilets are clean, user friendly and kept in a good condition.Id recommend this place anyday, and encourage future patrons, to phone and make a booking in order to be accommodated.

Ive been to sirocco multiple times. Their service is excellent and the atmosphere of the place is 10/10. Last I had the paella which was lacking in flavor and wasnt good honestly but their food is usually good. One weird thing is that they dont swap pizza topping when I asked them to do so, even if Im paying the difference. I could only have one choice but it was very good.

Daily deals which are great value. We had a 200g fillet with chips and pepper sauce. The fillet was cooked to perfection, the chips were fresh and crispy and the pepper sauce made it an amazing dish. Highly recommend the fillet. Good drinks selection. Great views from some of the tables (be sure to book if you want to sit by the window). Only downside was the complimentary small foccacia which in theory is great bit the taste was a bit disappointing. Overall we had a good experience and will go back for some more daily deals.

One of the best food experiences I have had in a while. The chef signature vegetarian dish had the most amazing sauce Ive tasted! My friend had the sirocco prawns and enjoyed them as well! And the pizza they gave as a complimentary entree was on point with flavours and a surprise! And the dessert as well, the first two chocolate dishes on the menu were divine! Yes, its an expensive restaurant but these are the kind of culinary experiences your save for :)

A fine and stunning restaurant with beautiful views of the lagoon. Staff are friendly and very helpful; went the extra mile to ensure that we were comfortable, and we didnt even ask! All foods ordered were excellent: high quality and done to perfection; bursting with flavour!Prawns wrapped in bacon, need I say more?

A great restaurant and a must when in Knysna. Their Ribeye was out of this world. Soft, tender and melting in your mouth, cooked to perfection!

After seeing the great reviews, we were really looking forward to trying out Sirocco.Although the staff were extremely friendly, we were disappointed. We had to keep asking for cutlery, the Peri-peri sauce was basically a bowl of oil (which they tried to fix, unsuccessfully) and the service was extremely slow.The prawns were at least fresh and the dessert was delicious.

We came on the day for the Paella offer and so we all ordered it. The Paella tasted fine but wont order again. Service was very good and fast. Pizza tasted delicious 😋. Would recommend 👍.

While a little on the pricey side Sirocco was a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon. The view and service were fantastic, especially with views of the heads, Leisure Isle and the Catamarans. The sushi was really on point and their seafood curry was surprisingly great. Their fish and chips was decent, though the batter was a bit thin and lacking in flavor. Had a great meal and a great afternoon, will be returning gladly 😁

Beautiful view over the lagoon to the heads from the Veranda. Slick service. We all had the prawn special. The Prawns were OK, but nothing to right home about.

The food was absolutely amazing. One of the best pizzas Ive had. Such a lovely atmosphere with stunning view of the sea. The staff were friendly, however the service could be a little faster. Overall would reccomend it.

This was one of the best restaurants on our 4 weeks South Africa trip, if you are around here, GO THERE! They have great seafood and excellent Service.

I loved the food. The drinks were a bit pricey but worth it. I ordered their gourmet burger and the patty was succulent the guacamole had a nice tang. It is right there on the waterfront so you get great views. The manager comes by to check if the patrons are okay. Overall good vibes. Will be making a return

Friendly good food great views a must if you in Knysna

We ordered the prawn special but sadly it turned out to be a disappointment.The peri peri sauce was just a bowl of oil with very little flavor, the rice was either still raw or left over as it was hard. My wife had the chocolate brownie and it was burned and bitter. Cutlery was not provided and we had to keep asking for it. The business is in a prime area but is not taken advantage of by matching service. The final tab also had drinks that I had not orderd. Would not come back in a rush.

Lovely view during the day but just remind yourself what time you are going.+ Good portions+ Friendly staff although there were obviously very very busy when we went- Took far too long for the fact we ordered just a starter and main (almost 3 hours)- Food was a bit too over the top and could have been kept a lot simpler re: ingredients- Price vs taste wasnt the best weve had in the area. Some very oily mealsOverall, Im sure a very easy place to go and central within the island area but there are better places to try in Knysna.

Amazing. 4 of us visited and was a great dining experience. Seafood and service was awesome.

A favourite whenever we are in the area, the quality of food and service never disappoint. Maybe it is because we dont get to visit that often but it seems everytime we stop by, the restaurant has some new addition or tasting experience that you can enjoy. Also, with almost a 180 degree view of the lagoon, what more could you want from a quiet meal with a loved one.

Seating was quick, food was quick, food was good. Flavors great. Few minor flaws which are easily repaired.Assuming they were little short staff but staff very polite and friendly which makes up for the delays inbetween.

Food was amazing, we had sushi. The one complaint I have is the chefs mask was hardly covering his mouth and nose and carried on after I asked him to put it on properly.

A lovely place with great food, great views. You just end up leaving the place feeling very relaxed and happy with the world

3 stars instead of 2 because the dessert saved this place from its inattentive service and overcooked prawns which were stuckkkk to the shells. Sushi was average whilst the mussel starter was good. They were very busy as we visited on a Saturday night however this should not be an excuse for them. That being said, probably will visit again just for that dessert.

Best food ever. Food prentation just amazing. Had ostrich that just melts in your mouth. Girls weekend away and we all cant stop raving about the restaurant.Perfect for family during the day and perfect for a romantic dinner in the evenings.Served by Zuko who was just excellent

Friendly staff, professional service. This restaurant has a great and varied selection to suit most tastes. I had the feta and jalapeno sirloin and it was cooked the way I like and was delicious! And then theres the location... on Thiessen Island with a stunning view towards the Knysna Heads and the most amazing take on the legendary South African sunset.

The service was super slow, the food was not good either. I had a very bland clam pasta and my fiance a tasteless seabass...at least the kids enjoyed their sushi! Maybe they just had a bad night but were definitely never going back there

Slow and inattentive service. Food arrived an hour later and staggered so that some guests where done before the others even received their meal. How disappointing! Definitely not worth it.

Excellent service and delicious food. A welcome change from most of the other more casual restaurants on Thesen Island. Unfortunately my wife’s main course came with the wrong side dish, this was remedied quickly, however the potato wedges were not up to the standard of the rest of the dish. The lamb shank and queen prawns were excellent, some of the best food we’ve had. The Chocco Sirocco dessert was fantastic. Unfortunately we were let down by the panna cotta, don’t even bother with it. Also, make a reservation to avoid disappointment and get a good table.

Little bit dissapointing. I made a booking with the manager well in advance, that I was bringing my newly wed wife there for our Honeymoon, and unfortunately they did not even have us on the guest list.The service was good, but the food was unfortunately not that great.

For me Sirocco is one of the best in the area. It has a large menu so lots to choose from for everyone. The non alcoholic cocktails are great as well.

We ate there on Christmas Eve and had a really pleasent experience.The food was really delicious. I especially loved the dessert: I had the soft-centered chocolate dessert with a scoop of ice cream! The best!

Although Sirocco is situated at a great spot on Thesen island, they were unwilling to make us rice free sushi, and when the calamari I ordered arrived it was burnt to a char, too bitter to eat. What a waste of time and money.

Two stars, prices are far too high,Ordered a T-bone steak with red wine jus,Steak over cooked red wine jus tasted way over-salted, and not like a real jus, the rice with sole was just butter.Service on the other hand was great.The presentation was really good.As a chef I would say all around the food was ok with a few tweaks to your menu I might even consider coming back. But that was not red wine jus and my steak was way overdone and if expect for that price it should be done right.I expected higher standards for a upmarket shop.

Food arrived after an hour in seperate batches 15 min apart. This would have been fine if there were some communication from staff, but there was none.

On the waters edge, this is a slice of heaven and that has one of the most beautiful sunsets Ive seen ; staff are friendly, the menu selective around seafood and culinary treats - its a must experience when in Knysna!
