Food was amazing and that view was something out of this world, really a place worth going to, no regrets

Restaurant is quite vibrant. Food was good quality, sushi specifically - a little too much rice in the pieces though. Presentation on wooden boards wasnt all that great, boards all full of cutting marks. I take it that they are used to serve other dishes as well.Because it is suitable to both casual or a more sophisticated dining experience, a more user-friendly menu would be great! Also quite focused on whether or not you booked...Friendly staff all round and a good atmosphere.

Fresh oysters, awesome sushi and the Signature Seafood platter for 2, with baby Soal was out of this world.Friendly staff and affordable pricing makes this a repeat visit. Honestly wish I could rate more than 5 stars.

This was my favourite restaurant experience in knysna. The service in this restaurant is super excellent the waiters are friendly and the supervisors are present. The seating is nice and the view of the restaurant is amazing. Food was delicious and fresh. Especially the seafood platter, its soo good. Their malva pudding is the best.

Extremely disappointed. We were served by a very nice young waitress. Unfortunately, it was her first day. And despite her best efforts, she was totally lost. She should never have been thrown at the deep end. A so-called manager came after half an hour to tell us it was her first day but that he was watching her and all was in control. Far from it. We ordered three extra large oysters each to start with. My friend’s were fine. Two of mine were minuscule and totally shrivelled. They must have starved… only the shells were large! I complained and after a good twenty minutes, a fourth middle sized oyster was brought to the table. My friend then took the fish of the day which was fine. I took the seafood platter. The mussels were overcooked. The prawns were cut lengthwise, which made it very difficult to remove the shell, and even more to have a decent morsel. The three sauces were dissociated. Desserts were just about OK. My friend complained his chocolate brownie only had the colour of dark chocolate. At that price, a totally unacceptable experience.

What a breath of fresh air. Lovely restaurant, good selection of food and drinks. Ambiance is great. I really loved the lighting and being able to view the harbor. Just want to acknowledge Ziyanda for being the Host with the Most. We were a big group split on 2 tables and i must say she handled the pressure so well.

The food was lovely and the background music was nice and soft enough to have a decent conversation. The service was good. There were some hygiene issues where some tables were not entirely clean and the menus had some icecream stains that were still wet. Overall nice place with a good view for a date or business meeting.

Scenic setting, superbly delicious food and good service. I was happy to find a delicious vegan meal (Moroccan lentil pilaf) that I would go back for over and over again. The only negative was a few prawn tentacles on my partners fish for which we were told the manager would come and extend his apology but he did not arrive. Other than that, highly recommended spot at the Knysna Waterfront.

Great views over the harbour, but unfortunately the sushi was very disappointing. Poor quality fish, not properly made, presented on an old wooden plank that would be better suited for serving a steak. This might be a nice restaurant to visit if you’re expecting a plain fish and chips

Delicious food served very quickly. Restaurant was packed full and our first table was crammed and uncomfortable. Luckily they found us a better table where we felt more comfortable.

Excellent atmosphere and views of Knysna lagoon, the food was good but not consistent. I ate 3 days whilst on holiday, grilled hake second time was very disappointing; not line fish as specified on the menu and no lemon butter likewise prawns not memorable as the first time.

Very good food and service. We had the hake and the baby sole - both full flavour and well priced. The menu has a good range of seafood, grills and sushi. Comfortable seating, right on the marina. The sun set as we ate and the lights came on in the lagoon. An excellent evening.

Ordered the Saturday Seafood Platter special- it comes with wine and very affordable for what you get. Effective and fast service with friendly staff. Short waiting time for orders. Shreshest seafood and ingredients, perfectly made. Will recommend the venues with beautiful views to anyone!

What a disaster. Waiting 40 minutes before our simple order arrived. I was really disappointed with the kitchen preparing our food and I could not tell what was wrong until....the distinct taste of fish is all over my food. I know this restaurant specialise in seefood, but if the owner decide to offer food on the menu other than seafood....he/she must make sure not to serve egg and steak prepared in fish-oil. Futher more .....my wifes chicken salad was just as bad. She could not eat the chicken....because it taste like fish and returned it to the kitchen...demanding a discount.I will not visit this restaurant again.2 out of 10

One of our favourite restaurants on the Eastern side of the Western Cape every time passing up this stretch of the coast do a stop at the Drydock and enjoy some of their scrumptious variety of dishes really reasonably priced good pro staff that actually went out of their way to ask the Chef to do me a dish that was not on the menu and then the manager checking on us if all was to satisfaction...a really professional way of dealing with requests thank you guys we heading your way in the next couple of months again cant wait well done Guys .🙋‍♂️

I had the seafood pasta at Drydock. It looked amazing but did very little to entertain my tastebuds. Generous portion though.

Being in the most touristy place in Knysna I was expecting an over rated, expensive disappointment. But it was actually incredible, the food and service was top class. Prices were fair bar the wine which was actually very expensive considering the wines on offer. Poor selection at high end prices. If wine isnt your thing this is the best meal weve had thus far on our stay.

Food was good, just a pity it had to be rushed due to curfew.

Lovely restaurant with awesome food. The hake fish was absolutely superb as was the calamari. Staff not the best as Inalways had to call for service but everyone helps with the service so wasnt a problem.

I have had many good experiences at Drydock but my last visit was even better, the Sushi 🍣 was 11/10 it was fresh and very tasty, the view is breathtaking! Staff very accommodating and friendly, the trainee waitress was very friendly and professional. I cannot wait for next Fridays half price Sushi date with my friends.

Great, varied menu with great tasting meals. Very nice of the manager in duty to visit each table and show appreciation for support during this very difficult time for restaurants and tourism. Probably the waterfront restaurant with the best view overlooking the docked boats. Highly recommended!

We had very good lunch here. Staff was friendly and kind. Although it was a bit crowded and noisy we still enjoyed our meal.Also beautiful view on the Harbour.

Nice spot in knysna. The food, even if its a very busy place, is very good. You have to taste something feom the sea. You can also have something to share. The service is friendly and lovely. It can be loud and busy in the evenings, you have to be aware of that. But it is definitely worth it!

This place breaks the rules by being a decent restaurant with good prices in a heavy tourist area with good views. The restaurant was really busy so things were a bit slow but the service was friendly and informative. The food was tasty, fresh and well presented. My poke bowl was simple and delicious. The sushi was decent but could have been constructed with a little more care. All told, pop in, eat and you will likely walk away happy!Update: I did not realize how massive this restaurant is! There are two floors and over 200 tables.

An amazing place to unwind after a long day. They have the best cocktails with a beautiful view of the Waterfront.

Great specials with quality burgers for very good prices. Definitely a great lunch stop and if you time it well there is some live music with a nice waterfront view.

The food was a real let down. I had the tuna croquettes + tempura prawn roll as a starter. Croquettes were completely tasteless. Sushi wasnt worth mentioning. Main was also an anti-climax. We ordered their signature dish, the seafood platter: prawns didnt seem fresh, mussels were also bland and tasted like theyd simply been boiled in plain water, only saving grace was the sole. The restaurant has a lovely view though and the service was really great - the waitron was really patient and friendly.

Service was good and staff very friendly and well trained. Quick to serve what was ordered. More of a relaxed environment as reflected with the reasonable pricing of menu items. A wide variety of sushi and seafood and big drinks menu. Beautiful views of the waterfront.

Straight up horrible experience on 02 April 2021. Took colleagues out for supper, sushi order taken incorrectly, ordered crispy and didnt get it, one sushi order was missed and never delivered. Only 1 drinks order was taken the entire evening. Shocked. Wont recommend. I was embarrassed.Spoke to a short female manager and was not supported, not even spoken to again. I would of rather gone to the shabeen in location for such terrible food, service and management. On top of it all, 5 days before they posted a picture about thier half price sushi special and then on the day, no special, had to pay full price for the entire experience. Awful.Go to any of the other restaurants that deserve the support

We had an amazing time celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary at DRYDOCK Restaurant. What an amazing place with a very appetizing menu and the best staff on the Garden Route. We were treated like royalty!

Very welcoming staff and manager

The food was really good, but the service was a little slow even though the restaurant was not busy at all. Their wine list is overpriced. However, we still had a good time and we ate well. The seafood was especially nice.
