Today I went with my family for a historic tour around Kimberley and stopped by at Docs for a tea and snack. I just want to thank you. Especially my waiter. I was feeling depressed and invisible with my family and tour guide and once I arrived, I was greeted with a presence that immediately brightened my smile. Thank you, waiter, (im sorry I never got your name) for making me feel accepted and seen and for being the one person who made me feel not alone. Even just a smile made me feel comforted. You were there checking on us and always offered help if needed and was genuinely just a wonderful server. Im not sure if youre a manager or just a waiter, but thank you. Thank you for making me feel happy with a smile (and complimentary candy floss). I never knew I needed a simple smile to help until I sat down and was served by you. I recommend to everyone. The food is very delicious and the array of desserts and drinks is definitely a reason for me to come back. I do hope we meet again. And again, thank you for excellent service.

This is a good spot, so sad that they do not enforce the no smoking policies that are mandatory.

Love the outdoor seats. They have heaters outside, how great it that. So even on a cold day you can enjoy their delicious food.Id recommend the flatbread

We love this place, but the vanilla tea is served in a big pot filled with water and only one teabag which makes it super weak and its not as hot as I would make my own tea. Not worth it. The cakes are delicious.

What awsome experience!

Tasty cake. Especially the Volcano!! Bubble tea was refreshing. Many different seating options, couch and coffee table, table and chairs, high garden table. Lovely ambience and prompt waitron staff

Great experience. Was sceptical after the previous bad experience, but this visit changed my mind and I will definitely visit again.

Not sure why they were packing up at 14h30 while we were there only 20min, nobody said anything, we just became uncomfortable with all the cleaning and decided to leaveBut otherwise a beautiful place

An intimate little place, great atmosphere and nice and quiet.Not a great selection of coffees, a few teas.We had the Carb friendly breakfast with poached eggs. Beautifully presented and an awesome hollandaise sauce. Was a good meal.Great value for moneyGreat serviceFriendly

Docs Coffee is one of those places that remind you of been somewhere in Cape Town. It has a lovely outdoor dining area and even it even has gas heaters for winter time. Great food and efficient service. A must in Kimberley.

What a beautiful venue. I sat outside under the trees and was looked after by Noel, who is great at what he does. Will definitely go back when I am next in Kimberley.

The decor is lovely and pleasant both inside and out. We felt the food prices were quite pricey but we wanted to try it. Food was OK but the pineapple on my husbands pizza seemed off like it was going bad. Then, as we usually do, we also ordered tap water with a piece of lemon in it. The lemon was SO TINY and thin it was hardly worth mentioning it. Then we were shocked when the bill came to the table and they had charged us R15 for Honey-Lemon water. (We had NO honey in it.) MOST establishments give tap water with a LOT more lemon in it than that, for FREE. This was ridiculous. My husband said to me that if they were going to charge us that much for that thin of a lemon slice, they should bring us the rest of the lemon!! They took it off the bill, finally, but we were shocked that they would even charge for it. The menu was really not that much to our liking. Unless I am going out for coffee or tea with a friend, we will probably not be back. For that, I would go there.

Didnt know this gem existed in Kimberley. Food is great. Coffee is awesome. People are fantastic

I had breakfast there on 28 May and I was very disappointed. The eggs were not turnrd over as I requested, the toast was burnt and the bacon was so hard, that I couldnt get my fork through it. Wimpys double-up breakfast, is much nicer and about 20% cheaper.

Prejudiced service. My partner and i stood waiting to be seated for over 10 minutes while we were openly ignored by the staff; not even a greeting, and they werent busy. After getting irritated, i walked inside to ask what is going on, alas nobody to help me. Walked back out, clearly annoyed, and ready to leave, when we were assited. To be fair, our waiter was friendly. The food was average. The Halfway House should not recommend this place, especially to out of towners.
