We finally got around to trying out Parreirinha Rapido in Illovo and we weren’t disappointed! Phenomenal pricing for the quality and amount of food received. We got the whole chicken with chips and rice for R85, and 12 prawns with chips and rice for R125. The lemon and herb flavour on the prawns was so good, and it was absorbed by the rice underneath which was actually the best part of the meal! The peri peri chicken was also flavourful and not dry. We’ll definitely be back to try more off the menu!

19.06.2020 If you have been a long time fan of Parreirinha Restaurante did you know there is now a closer option? You dont have to go all the way to the south to get your fix.Have you tried their Rapido branches yet? The new one is in Illovo next to NGF on Oxford road. It is a small shop and obviously doesnt have the nostalgic feeling when you go to the original restaurant, but they have added the ties for effect. 👔👔👔👔👌We bought takeaways, Peri Chicken, Pork and Chicken Pregos and some frozen Prawn Rissoles. The pregos do need a bit more spicing up. Terrible! Ordered the whole Chicken Peri Peri with chips and rice. Chicken very dry (almost like leather) - seemed it had been cooked in the morning and kept in a heating oven or under a heating lamp until I collected it in the late afternoon/early evening. Rice had a burnt taste too. Shant be ordering from this restaurant again.

I made a purchase on the 26-02-2021, we placed our order in advance to collect, ordered full peri-peri chicken, the rice was sour and chicken very dry with no taste, chips soaked in oil, Greek salad, lettuce was old and limp, kingklip was stale. I spent just over R600 and Im very disappointed in the service delivery levels, I have made purchases here before and it was not this bad. We have eaten many a times at the jhb outlet and find this very disappointing that the take away outlet has such terrible service.

On 23 December 2020, I went into your store personally and ordered (with Caroline) a whole chicken with chips & rice for collection at 7.00 pm on 31 December 2020. Caroline wrote down all the relevant details (including my name and cellphone number) on a scrap of paper taken from the credit card machine (no official order book!). I went into store at 11.00 am this morning, 31 December 2020 to confirm order. (1) Caroline did not have the order and (2) Caroline told me the store will close at 5.00 pm. I decided to get takeout from Nandos on Corlett Drive.(a) I cannot understand why you do not have official order books/pads to record orders (either made in person or on the telephone). Not everybody uses Ubereats and the like.(b) Nobody from your store bothered to telephone me to tell me that the store will close at 5.00 pm on 31 December 2020. Caroline used the excuse of new lockdown measures - the new lockdown (curfew hours) are from 9.00 pm to 6.00 am, so it beats me why your store is closing at 5.00 pm.(c) Most importantly, one would think that, as a newly-opened takeout restaurant in this neighbourhood, one would go out of their way to offer the most impeccable customer service to build up a large and loyal customer base in the area. Quality of service is equally as important as quality of food. This is clearly not your objective.(d) Finally, I shall not order from this restaurant again. Nandos is just as good and offers good customer service.

R85 for a full peri-peri chicken with chips and rice! Less than half the price of the other flame grilled chicken takeaway and just as delicious.

Firstly the staff were excellent. Thandika was very helpful and my order was done on time.The food was delicious .A full chicken at R85 was a real bargain. The livers were proper lekker ,I should have ordered more.Prawn cakes are a must .Overall my experience was great and I highly recommend Illovo Parrerinha RapidoGo get yours

Hi, this is the third time we got food from Rapido. Unfortunately the three chicken prego where no good. Very overcooked and hard chicken - not fresh. And swamped in oil. Definitely not repeating

Worst experience Ive ever had at a restraunt!!!! ordered a full chicken with a salad take aways VIA PHONE CALL AND COLLECTED ( NO UBER EATS/ NEW ONLY YOUR TERRIBLE SERVICE TO BLAME) like I usually do. When I got home I opened the packet and found that they didnt give me the salad further more the chicken they gave me was so raw I could have died.Went back the next day to explain to them that they forgot my salad which they apologized for and told them that they gave me a raw chicken which I wasnt happy with and asked them to replace the meal they clearly ruined.The owners response was that I was trying to steal a meal from them and they requested I drive home and take the meal out my trash to prove Im not trying to steal before they replace the meal...Should be noted I eat there a couple times a week and the staff all know me as a regular needless to say i left withour even taking rhe salad i already paid for that they didnt give me and will never return.

Just fabulous

This is the most disorganized takeaway I have ever been to. We pre-ordered, waiting for 30 minutes in the queue, and then we’re rudely told that the food wasn’t ready, and we would wait an hour. The waiting room was full of frustrated customers - as much as I love the original, don’t waste your time with Rapido.

They do chicken very well

We had the Prawn Pies.Full Peri Peri chicken.The food was Well worth it and a pleasure than the drive to the south.It could have had more chilli Though.Packaging needs a bit of a tweak, because rice chicken and chips were all thrown in 1 container.Also: The price is R85. 00 for a full chicken in store. Where as Uber charges R115.00 + Delivery charge.

So disappointed in this new branch of Parreinha Rapido in Illovo.Ordered 4 Prego rolls with Peri Peri sauceAnd the Prawns meals NONE of them had sauce! When I asked the manager why he said it because it gets soggy. So offer the sauce on the side then.When you call the manager

What a disappointing meal, prawn were tiny and didnt come out the shell, the rice and chips werent cooked properly! Boarded line inedible and for R200! Definitely not rushing back anytime soon!!!
