Nice place but some shops make you feel like you a thief. . Following you up and down every row.If I wanted company I wouldnt have gone on my own.

A different shopping experience from the usual mall type.Generally caters to specialised single entities and not chain stores, usually owner managed. This gives a more personalised experience.

Most of the shops have moved to new China Mall. Only NOVA company left. The old Oriental Mall is dead

Poor quality products that are sold under false specifications. Cheap Chinese products sold by unscrupulous dealers.

Pretty decent selection and variety. A little bit confusing with the layout - there could at least be a directory board to show where the shops are, especially since there seems to be a lot of shuffling around of the smaller stores throughout a year or two. Not all employees wear their masks, at least not properly (nose exposed). But overall a good experience.

Prices are very reasonable compared to other China Malls, much cleaner as well.

Its lovely. Not crowded, spacious, you can shop without feeling irritable. Elite China mall, but worth it. Only downside is that there isnt a variety of different stores, mostly clothing,shoes,bags, and curtains. Alot of vacant stores and quality for the price you pay at a China mall isnt the best. Highly recommend this mall but there is room for improvement.

This place is crazy busy, the prices are rediculous and service is terrible, most stores only want to sell to bulk buyers not worth the headache

A few empty stores was a bit of a let down, supposed to Covid.

Oriental City China Mall is located in Bruma, near Eastgate on the eastern side of Johannesburg. The mall offers free underground parking and limited outside parking. Within the mall are various shops selling a multitude of goods and services. There are a number of shops all selling electronics, cell phones, clothing, perfumes, handbags, African arts and crafts, curtaining, bedding, a couple of little eateries offering Chinese and Indian food and even a fruit and vegetable shop!

You find great bargains and some of the stores sells items that is hard to find elsewhere. You need to make some time and walk through the place as there is a lot of stores selling the same items, and find these gems.

Most shops are closed down, remaining shops all have same products, most shops are pakistani owned and not Chinese anymore. All restaurants and food stalls alre closed down.

Most of the shops sells fate stuff and very Xpensive!!!

Shops are fairly priced, however the over all safety is questionable.

Still sells great staff but the toilets dont smell good and some seats are broken but the shops have anything one could wish for from beauty and nail bars to clothing stores. The parking lot looks unfinished 🤷🏾‍♀️

There is a variety of stores, but many store spaces are standing empty.The mall itself is clean, but underground parking seems neglected and feels a bit unsafe.Not a huge effort on the part of the mall nor the merchants therein to be compliant with covid regulations (in terms of hand sanitizer etc).Ventilation might need some improvement as the restaurant smells pervade a lot of the mall.

The Gadgets shop is the most helpful and friendly people wont just sell you something they will help you all the way to make sure you get the correct thing

The way one gets treated at the Panda shop in Bruma is a despicable. I asked the tall guy for an item (He must be the owner), I explained what I need in detail. When I got home it was the wrong item he gave me and would not work in my PC. I went back maybe an hour later as I was desperate for the correct item. They did not have the correct item and seeing that it was his mistake I asked for a refund.Without warning or even willing to consider my request the tall guy started swearing at me in front of all the customers , said he has never seen me in his life before,

I think due to covid its expensive n most shps r closed

China mall has gotten expensive and some items are cheaper buying it from a normal store than making the trip there. If you buying in bulk for your business then this is the right place.

Unfortunately a few stores have closed but the mall is still quite nice, its clean and seems safe. You can get lots of good stuff and not bad prices.

They have everything you need...Its like your one stop for everything from clothing to food in their little food court with restaurants which offer a variety of food. Too bad they dont have a supermarket because that wouldve just made it perfect

This China mall has the most variety of goods, compared to others.There are stores built outside with a large stationery shop. The parking inside gets very full, so go early by nine.

This China Flea market is small, there are very few restaurants, but there are quite a few shops. Anything from boutique stores, a nail salon, and toilets available. If youre on a slightly tight budget but looking for B-grade Chinese quality. Then this place is great

The place is lovely but the cellphone shops are very expensive.....almost x3 the price you can get from other shops......beware of pick-pocketing, and lock your vehicle when you are going in the mall

I came here in a Thursday morning and the place was already packed.Pros: alot more varieties than any other place I went, you can definitely negotiate prices, prices are low, kind of organized, most of the workers are willing to help you, and I felt somewhat safe.Cons: this place can get too overcrowded, and finding a parking spot was a struggle.

Found the electronic bits I needed, and had phone screen saver replaced

Great variety of stalls for electronics, clothing, appliances home wares etc. Food stalls are fairly limited. The elevator seems to be constantly non functional. Undercover parking needs proper lighting. A good place to find the odd item and to pass time.

Clothing wise. Not so cheap, mist of the shops sells the same things. But for toys and other accessories there are shops on top floor you can go with reasonable price. Mostly i go is mr panda. The other two shops, one on each end of the top floor for toys. Price are quite good. Toilet are stink. But not visibly dirty.

Hold on to your valuables, including your children. Many of the shops are vacant and some of the corridors are darkly lit so it gives the feeling of walking down a sketchy alleyway. Each shop stocks the same goods and the prices are much higher than you would expect to pay. Better deals can be found elsewhere! I am however totally addicted to the spring rolls from the ground floor canteen.
