Doesnt feel like Joburg. This place has the vibe of a European city square. Plenty of good eating options. Trendy stores. The Christmas lights have added an ethereal feel to the place.

Tranquility, cleanliness and other positive things at its best. Theres low commotion (obviously because of the high status of the place) and quality stores youll rarely find at a township or town CBD mall. Its an option for those who want to enjoy shopping without even waiting for someone to pass.N.B ensure that you are pocket safe before visiting & you wont regret a single penny spend.Im still thrilled seeing Starbucks coffee joint here. It was my first time seeing it.

We went for the Christmas lights. Fantastic fun for the kids, with plenty of picture opportunities. It was a little crowded though as it was a single road where most of the lights were. Lots of restaurant and shopping options (although only the food and drinks options are open in the evening).

Great place, perfect place and peaceful

Beautiful Business district composed of hotels, business offices, restaurants, banks and many more. It has an awesome vibe and energy with people from all walks of life mixing, transacting, collaborating, socializing, enjoying a meal and entertainment. Melrose is well managed and very secure even in the evening. There is plenty of shops for a variety of things and restaurants like my favorites Moyo’s, JB’s corner and many more. It’s a wonderful place to entertain guest from other provinces or international travelers. It’s easily accessible from the M1 highway and 30min away from OR Tambo airport.

We specifically went to see the Christmas decorations and lights spectacle. Its was beautiful. It reminded me of the time this kind of setup was done in Johannesburg CBD. Made me very nostalgic.

One of the absolute pleasurable experiences to be had in Johannesburg. The district has a very heavily European town flair/influence sometimes you forget that you are not actually walking on a promenade in Europe somewhere. Excellent restaurants, I highly recommend paying Melrose Arch a visit.

Loooooooved the Christmas lights. Bar the fact that it was warm and light waaaaaaay past 4pm, this could have been any cool high Street in the UK. Lots of good shops and restaurants to choose from. Drinks are pretty expensive, especially imported drinks - Corona was the same price as it is in the UK, but food and coffee is a pretty standard price. Had dinner at Moyo which was divine :D

Very trendy shopping center. This is a mixed use facility which features shopping, dining, residential accommodation and offices. This is a great place for dining, because there is a huge selection of restaurants.

This shopping complex is very similar to the V & A Waterfront development in Cape Town. Obviously without the sea!Generally upmarket and caters for kids. Almost every type of product is available. The reason for 4 stars is parking is always an issue.

Treat yourself and your family to this years (2019) Christmas lights. It is amazing. Stroll around the street and have dinner and a drink at one of the many Restaurants they offer. There are Restaurants to suit every budget. And if you get there early you can still do a bit of Christmas shopping in the Mall. A nice summers evening outing for the whole family. Plenty of safe parking.

This is honestly one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to, I love it so much. It is European style and such a safe place to be no matter what time. They have many different shops including clothing and shoe shops, to art museums and beautiful restaurants and top hotels. It is always so lovely there and beautifully decorated with many things to see, it is specially beautiful at Christmas time when they put lights everywhere and make it look like a Disney dream come true.

Always a pleasure coming to this business centre. Just love the way theyve blended business offices, fine dining places and positioned at a very accessible spot just off the free way.Parking is never a problem here and quite affordable in comparison to other places.The place is secure with security officials all around the place and always wonderful to walk around the area.

Interesting spot for hangout.

Thoroughly enjoy Melrose. Its well maintained, has a ton of parking, which can be a bit confusing if you dont know the center but there are signs on the walls and hanging up. Can be problematic if it rains as it is a lot of open air shopping/dining with some sections inside, however the walking sections are reasonably well covered. Decent variety of chain and boutique shops which are in general quite large with a good variety of items. The center is also well maintained.

An amazing spot, Christmas is done so beautifully at Melrose Arch. The decorations are beautiful at night and the Christmas spirit is so real as people take pictures next to the Christmas decorations.The Christmas walk bridge is the best, with people walking hand in hand under the bright and colourful various lights. The ambiance is fun and light.The restaurants have so much to offer. A great place to go out for dinner with family and friends. Nothing short of variety and class.

Very comfy, clean, stylish and helpful staff.

If you are looking for an upmarket outing with quite a trendy crowd, this is the place to be. Plenty upper class folk with the odd sighting of local news makers and celebrities. Fantastic choices of restaurants to choose from with plenty parking space. The night time entertainment is a bit limited with the stand up comedy bar probably being the best indoor entertainment. If you are looking for something more outdoorsy, Moyos restaurant usually has their big screen on in the courtyard. There are quite a few hotels and apartments if you are looking for accommodation in the area, book months ahead for the festive season! There are also several office spaces and office blocks available if you would prefer to work in this sort of environment, none of it comes cheap though. Overall its a nice place to be at.

Number one for me

Lovely upmarket area with open air access to shops. Typical European Street shopping environment. Pavements are large, can walk in some roads as traffic gets closed off at certain days and times of the week. Over Christmas time it gets beautifully decorated with lights and decor. During the year there are various club get-togethers, where the crazy petrol heads can view some sports cars.

Love Melrose arch. Lot of companies around Melrose Arch mall. Mall has great shops..

Melrose Arch has nice restaurants and vibey especially after a game from Wanderus Stadium. Its Manhatin night life and even more. Safe with security.

Very clean, well situated hotel. Staff are friendly and eager to help, rooms are stunning, nice pool bar. Situated literally 1 road away from the Melrose arch mall, which one can easily walk to. Felt safe and had a great weekend

Melrose offers a wide range of Restaurant options, shopping destinations and entertainment options for the kids. The atmosphere is relaxed but eyes will feast on the many beautiful shopping windows. Very safe, lovely collection of stores, with an European atmosphere. Just not as many nice stores as one would hope. There some nice family activities over the weekends. A great outdoor center.

Lots of shops and restaurants. There seems to be something for everyone. Great place for work lunches, casual dining and shopping.Just make sure you know which parking to park at based on where you want to go... It can get confusing and may warrant an extra long walk if you choose the wrong parking...

This complex has everything you need. I love coming here to dine at all the different restaurants. Every time I come I stay at the Fire &I Ice hotel which is amazing. Its walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Its very safe, good atmosphere and lovely people.

This shopping mall is a must visit if youre in Johannesburg. The European architecture and general feel of the place is fresh and crisp.Its a great shopping experience with high end exclusive stores and restaurants with mouth watering cuisine.

I visted Melrose for a friends birthday and I am still in awe to this day.This small area of perfection was beautiful! With surrounding stores all around and a subtle busyness this place is perfect for lunch or dinner (as the setting of the sun makes the scenery even more magnificent).I honestly fell in love with this place.

Very much an upscale place. Beautiful architecture and design as you walk through the streets from shop to shop. There are a lot of clothing stores and fancy restaurants for your every taste. A fun visit if you are in the area, but it can be expensive.

Awesome Xmas lights! Great outing for the kids. Ocean Basket service was a bit slow but the waiter was very friendly. The hosts and managers could have managed and helped the waiters a little better. Focus was turning over tables.

Must visit in Johannesburg. Little Italy comes to Jozi. One of my personal favourite outdoor dining places. The mix of indoor and outdoor is well thought out. Ultra modern with all the big brands. With head offices, luxury apartments,retail heaven, 2 hotels a world class gym and more....Melrose is simply a lifestyle.
