Overall, not too bad.. Could do with a bit more room and my wings couldve done with a tad bit more seasoning. The drinks selection is nice though.

Although the service was not good on that day we had gone to the Wing Republic but because the food was delicious I will rate it 5 stars and the person who took us there says that its usually not like that when it comes to the service, she always gets a great service.

The food is to die for.Ive been having bad experiences with food around Jozi but this place made me want to go back every weekend. The platter with pork and beef ribs as well as wings is delicious. The mock tail mojito was also a good one. The service was a bit slow but when the food eventually arrived I even forgot that the service was slow.

So after all this hype about The Wing Republic, Final went to the place to check it out..... This place is small and very crowded, The 1m Covid run is non applicable.... I get a table and seat with my partner, quickly we get a waiter to take our order... 15min later we get our drinks then after 45min we get our food....Now i didnt mind the waiting for food because i sae it was full.But the disappointment came when i started to eat my wings, those wings were burnt, my blue cheese sauce was weak like it had water and mind you the blue cheese came 5min later than our food. The Hype is a Lie, yes the prices are affordable but the taste is weak. I wouldnt recommend anyone to the place. Personally i wont be going back to the place.

The beef ribs were good as always. Unfortunately they didnt have the full wings this time. The sweet chilli buffalo wings arent nice and they had way too much sauce that tasted nothing like sweet chilli. The sweet chilli buffalo wings tasted like soup.

The Wing Republic, located in the trendy and youthful Braamfontein. Expect it to always be buzzing and full, which is expected once you try their mouth watering food.Pros:They have the best Ribs in Gauteng and thats a fact. The Ribs are tender, juicy and well seasoned. Their drink ptions are plentiful.It is best enjoyed with a group of friends as their menu portions are generous and ideal for sharing.Cons:Only con is the service, I dont like having to always get the waiters attention when I need to place an order of a drink or meal, you can sit there for ages unattended too. Which can be frustrating if you are impatient like myself.

Some of the best wings youll find in Joburg. Great spot with a fun ambience... gets a bit busy so get there early or call ahead to reserve a table if possible. Also tried one of their burgers, wasnt so great to be honest so Id just recommend sticking to the amazing wings.

Was a great pit stop to just grab something to eat and drink. The food was relatively nice. The only problem I had was that its signed that the area is a high risk cell phone grab are and my entire stay outside was uncomfortable. Thank you for the warning but the possiblity for it happening was uncomfortable. Add a security guarding fence or just make it a inside seating only.

The food here is amazing. The Republican Burger was full of flavour from the fresh ingredients. The chips were perfectly salted. One of my friends ordered the berry smoothie which I tried a sip. Put it this way I ordered a take away smoothie. Best burger Ive had in Joburg.

Ordinarily the service is good. But on this day there no water in the hubbly. We were serviced at least 20 minutes after being seated and it was not the best service. The waiter barely checked up - the food was late but when it was time to pay... boy was he quick to come.

Aye.I had a great visit - their food is as good as advertised. I am definetely coming back to checkout more cocktails and pork ribs.The space is slightly cramped, but I guess thats the atmosphere they are trying to exhibit - intimacy 😊. Order drinks and chill... or ask if something small that can be sent out from the kitchen sooner.The waitress who assisted us was slow with everything or hard to get a hold of. Went here on a sundy evening, deep house played the whole time. There was a live dj at the restaurant. The place is small indoors.Tables are placed very together. There is outdoor seating but it was way too cold for that. There is a full bar and one bartender. Drinks can be delayed due to that. Ordered cocktails... these were great too.

Great food and great service only downside was I couldn’t use the rest room because they had only one toilet for both men and women with 1 toilet and the men had peed all over the seat so that creates a disadvantage for women. Had to hold it till I got to midrand… terrible drive home.

The place is good and very cozy. The sitting is limited. The wings and ribs (pork) combo is a definite must try, amd they also have beef ribs. The strawberry daiquiri is a bit weak on the alcohol side. However, a simple request to make the drink stronger will be entertained. The atmosphere and vibe is great. I am certain on a normal time, the place is vibrant.

The Wing Republic is one of the places that seems to have survived the pandemic in the area so its therefore quite busy at times but that doesnt take away from the quality of the service. I havent tasted any of their dishes but definitely going back for some.The crowd is fairly young. They have indoor and outdoor seating with low and high tables. It gets fairly dark inside so Id suggest the outdoor seating. Youll also get to enjoy a pretty unique set up when sitting outside as you might get a chance to grab a table in an alley.Not too sure about parking but most people just park their cars along the streets that surround the restaurant.

The place was super clean. The wings were amazingly delicious & tasty! They adhered to Covid social distance regulations. You get sanitised at the entrance and have to wear your mask too. Wonderful staff too. I had a great time. Kudos to the whole team.
