Delicious prawns, the service was questionable though. We arrived at the door and told the receptionist that we have a reservation. We were then interrupted with just go there as he motioned towards one of the booths. We sat down and waited, eventually called over to a waiter to announce ourselves (one of 3 parties there). We ordered drinks and right off the bat ordered our entrées and food as well. Boy, did we wait forever for our food to arrive. My husband ordered a 300g sirloin, rare, but what he got was a steak slightly thicker than a minute steak, and cooked all the way through. Since the food had already arrived cold and had taken so long, we decided to just eat it as quickly as possible and get out, since we didnt have the time to wait for another plate to be fixed. The prawns I ordered were divine, although they were a bit on the small side, considering I ordered the Jimmys giants. The owner was not there that night, and a guy whom I assume was his son, was dealing with any complaints coming in. The lady in an adjacent booth also complained. That her food was taking very long, to which this young guy responded that it always takes to long. Even though she was a regular there and had never waited more than 10 minutes. This young guy then went over to party number 3 and joined them for a hubbly smoke, while the rest of us continued waiting for our food.

Great place to host an intimate family birthday lunch.

I only give 4 stars instead of 5 because this time wasnt the best Ive had from them, couple of issues but not worth complaining. All I will say is the griller needs to only do what he or she can manage, dont do too much while having food on the grill and leaving it on too long. Great service as always 👏

We ordered the half price sushi special. The sushi was good. However, the wait was not.We ordered the tamago salmon, tempura prawn surprise, sunset iso and yummy volcano.We placed our order telephonically at 16:20. And arrived to collect at 17:50. Our order was not ready. We then waited another 40mins for our order.Poor time management. Measures should have been taken to ensure orders go out on time.

Jimmys treated me and my family very good and the food was very delicious 😋 and I would love to visit Jimmys again:)

Incredibly underwhelming experience. Only things I enjoyed were the prawns and the drink.. Lemon butter sauce has no lemon flavour, steak tasted like it had been partially boiled and had no flavour. Desserts were not great either.. Its sad because I was looking forward to going here all week. Definitely wont be trying them again unfortunately.

The worse service ever, the food was terrible on top of it, we paid for crab curry that was untouched because the rice that was served with it smelled and we asked for just the crab curry to be packed and they didnt pack it, asked the waiter when the rice was made and he said he doesnt know. 1 star isnt even deserved

The prawns are great but thats pretty much where it ends...I dont really get the hype but I guess each to their own.

Excellent food, however managers or owners dont wear masks. Yet their sign says masks mandatory.Absolutely shocking and appaling from the owners/management.

I order from here at least every second week via Mr D/Uber eats. The food is always well presented and absolutely delicious. Order instructions are always followed on every point. Would definitely recommend especially for at home dining.

Have a very mixed review about this placeWhilst the quality of the fish and prawns were really good along with the service.The food was drenched in sauces which I found to be extremely salty .The flavor profile of the sauces were good but due to the high salt content I found my experience to be very disfactory.

Has a beautiful view while sitting on the outside deck while still keeping covid 19 rules in place, even on a chilly night the warm atmosphere and patio heaters keep you warm. The welcoming staff and manadger tops it off, and a well secured play gym takes care of the kids while you wait for your food. A vast menu with a excellent verify like no other Jimmys. The food was excellent from the starters to the desert. Definitely will visit again and a must visit for those who have not.

The food is delicious and the service is great. We phoned in to place a takeaway order. Everything ordered was package beautifully - it was packed neatly, the containers were sturdy and they did not skim on the takeaway portions like what some restaurants do.

I loved jimmys,they sell amazing food and drinks.their milkshakes are lobely and i would definitely recommend going there.Theres even a kiddies play area for the small ones. I give it a 5 star rating. Amazing place

Very dissapointed - it is not the origal Jimmys. New owners have completly changed the menu - converted it to asian from the original Mediterranean style.

Electricity issues spoilt our meal . Prawns were fresh and well marinated. The owner apologized sincerely. Waiter did his best under the circumstances. Aahhh what to do but bear it.

Today 14/05/2021 I called Jimmys Norwood to order lunch. Before I even started placing my order I asked if they do deliveries and they stated that they do with a delivery fee of R30 so I went on to place my order. I was told it will be ready by 12:20. At 13:00 I called back to ask what time my food would be delivered and I was told that the driver left 5 mins ago. My offices are are exactly 2.3 kms away from the restaurant. She told me to give him an additional 5 minutes so I did. At 13:30 i called back as the driver didnt arrive and only to have the owner zimo amod be utterly rude to me on the phone telling me its not his problem that the food has not been delivered and he is doing me a favor by delivering this food. He barely gave me a chance to speak on the phone as he continued to raise his voice at me and talk over me. Having no customer service, respect or telephone etiquette whatsoever. Being a regular customer that support this establishment on an ongoing basis it is a total disappointment and will not be supporting them again. Also when my food is finally delivered the packaging condition is pathetic and the food is cold.

Place an order on Instagram and they even asked me time of collection. I said Sunday 15:30. When I got there no one knew of my order. I had to place a new order and wait for it. Very disappointing

The service was very poor. We waited very long for our tables to be set up. The food was not tasty at all. The owner had forgotten to prepare our tables for us although we had made prior arrangements with him for our function. Its was my sons wedding luncheon. We and our guest were very disappointed.

Very dissapointed with Jimmys prawns we ordered yesterday at their shop in Norwood. The prawns were not tasting as fresh or up to Standard I had known Jimmys prawns...they had a funny color to them too.... Yoh hai worse experience ever.Staff looked bored and seemingly discoursged as the chairs remained empty..Beautiful setup though n sadly no alcohol served
