Nice cousy place to hang out. Being my 1st time here, I ordered fish and chips. Was a little too petite than I had expected, wouldnt recommend it if you come in hungry, however enjoyed it.

It is my first time with family and friends attending a all you can eat feast of pizza on a wednesday at Cafe Rouse Clear water mall, the service was graet,the pizza was amazing. Keep it up, we will see you soon mosy def #weneededthis

Very poor customer service and they dont even care about how they are doing their job. Took almost 2hours waiting for food and when it arrives the is so much sailt on it, they even take time to correct this. The stuff is loud and dont even care. I am very desaponted. Im actually Suprised by all the comments here because the food was amazing, I definitely enjoyed it, will definitely go again.

We have being going to Cafe Rouse for years. The quality of service and food presented has dropped significantly. We where so disappointed when we received our favourite meal, it was one third of the portion that we got on other occasions. The chicken was dry,oily and super thin,Bacon was burnt, the chips was cold and they did not serve the onion rings that normally comes with the meal.When i asked about the onion rings i was asked if i still wanted rings anyway(with bit of an attitude) I asked the manager if the menu or portions have changed and was told they have a new kitchen manager and this is how the new portions look. It is not worth the time or money any longer. Waste of money for bad food and bad expieriece. Was awsome little place pre covid. No customer care here.

No front office training, my order was spinach and feta pancake with cheese sauce. It arrived, no feta no the waiter argued with me saying he thinks they put a little in, then I said the sauce was burnt which was over powering, I specifically asked him to tell the chef and the manager as I believe in complaining in person. I asked for the bill, the waiter said the manager had been on the phone the entire time. He will tell him after I leave, I explained that they’ve just lost a customer. There is no need to accept poor service and bad food.

23rd September 2021 I had a late lunch with my sister at your restaurant.Not long after that my stomach was upset. The next day on the 24th I had terrible cramps and that night I threw up (slight overshare).Ever since then I have constant stomach cramps every single day.Yesterday I went to see my Dr in Cresta Medical Centre Healthworx and I was told I have an infection in my digestive system.I dont want anything from you guys but cleaner services and a sterile kitchen so you dont infect more customers.I will not be returning to your restaurant. Fully disappointed and disgusted.

Horrible experience. Will never be going back again! Poor service. No sense of urgency. Food below average. Mom took her food back and ordered something else as takeaway because she has lost her appetite. Which took a whole hour. Both Cafe Latte and cappuccino tastes like luke warm milk. Poor quality standards. Management must pick up there socks fast.

Cappuccino was overflowing into saucer and cup was chipped. Not good espically from a hygiene point. Looked at the specials and decided that the chicken wrap looked good only to be told when we placed the order stock had tun out....then ordered something else, place was basically empty but food took long. No manger on duty to check up on customers. kept seeing people swap chairs as chairs were not sturdy. Waitress came to ask us if food was fine while we had our mouths full...food was average....overall....wont be going back. Staff need serious training.*have menus with you when seating customers.*introduce yourself and tell customers about any specials and out of stock items.*offer something to drink while they look on menu.*take out condiments - make sure bottle is clean after each use. Ask if they would like any other condiments with their meal.*serve from the right. Ladies first then men.*offer a second drink.*clear plates and offer a coffee and dessert (try up sell)....*clear plates before bringing the bill.*put sweets in bill folder*smile.....just a few tips....

Horrible experience! Went there yesterday and the waitress couldnt have cared any less about us . When we eventually ordered our food it took an hour and a half to arrive !! And the worst part is that,after wed waited an hour and a half for our food ,the food was awful and cold . Will never go back!

Took my wife and myself to lunch. We were very specific in how we wanted our food, i.e hot. (Food came warm, chips had a Powderly taste, onion rings were cold. The worst was that the Hunters gold I had was fermented. This they changed and I asked for a Jack Daniels - What they brought me was a Whiskey!? Jack Daniels is a Bourbon. The bill comes they never credited the Hunters gold, which I picked up. Finally when I informed the manager, he was not really interested in hearing me, that we paid and Left. WILL NEVER GO BACK

So I decided to check this place out coz I saw their posters throughout the mall and it seemed reasonable. We got there the waiter shows us where to sit, he takes about 7 minutes to come take our order and even when he does he seemed to be in a rush. He brings our drinks 10 minutes later and our food 35 minutes later. It was a breakfast, bread was to dry, cheese grillers were too dry, russian was to dry...I definately didnt enjoy my meal. The place is reasonable. Saw their menu and I think it could work but really the chef is cooking the food a bit too long.

The food is excellent, the atmosphere warm, and the prices are ridiculously affordable.

Worst sirloin steak Ive ever been served. Tasteless and cold. Will never ever go there again!!! Veggies were equally horrible, except for the 2 onion rings accompanying the steak. Onion rings gets the 1 star.

Disappointing experience. Took a while to attract a waiter which is sad considering we were escorted to our table. Drinks were good. Food took a ridiculously long time to arrive which i dont understand as it was a breakfast order. Kitchen got the details of my order incorrect and i wasnt in any mood to send it back and ask for it to be redone which the waiter offered. Floor wasnt cleaned and had an opened used jam container laying under our table. Considering the setup of the place and location i would have expected much better standards.

It tends to be quiter here than at other coffee shops in the mall. Menus have been updated and service is friendly but nothing outstanding at this coffee shop

We ordered the Chicken Schnitzel with extra bacon. With this comes chips and onion rings. Upon delivery, we found the food very disspointing. Bacon was cut in half and placed on chicken. Chips was without any colour. Cheese sauce was so thick, had to scrape it with a spoon. And onion rings probably found its way to someone elses delivery, cause it never arrived. And to think I opted a donation to the Restaurant. Dont know what went wrong but think you have to better your execution etc of your food.

Order a Hamburger of which the beef putty was charcoal. No quantity control. For dessert ordered the Peppermint Tart. Slice was so small that I had to send it back. Very disappointed. The one star is for the decor. Waiter was very friendly. Would not go there again and will not recommend the place.

We ordered 4 items for dinner last night it cost just under R800 bucks, I had the fishermans platter, then we also got 2 other fish dishes and a curry. My mussles where completely raw just covered in a cream sauce, every fish order was supposed to come with lemon butter and peri-peri sauce but for the three fish orders there was one tiny plastic cup with two teaspoons of lemon butter sauce and finally all the rice in 3 fish dishes was dry chewy and raw. To pay 200 bucks per meal and recive the food in this condition feels like a huge ripoff, and I would strongly advise to never get dinner here.

We decided to try this place for dinner due to their advertising on specials everywhere you looked in the mall. We caught the back end of the rush and all our platters were delivered with dismal quality of seafood. Everything looked and tasted like it was refried, i. e. calamari, squid heads, chips. Sauce served tasted and smelled off. Dont think the chef knows how to prepare seafood. Manager tried to make good with free shots but we wont be going back.

10 minutes after placing the order I was informed that they dont have croissants they can substitute with something else and when my dish came it was missing the tomato relish. Bill also took a while to come after asking for it...

Staff are friendly, but food (breakfast) a bit disappointing

We went to this cafe for brunch on Saturday. The milkshakes were great. The food looked promising but we were sadly disappointed. I ordered the Cajun Chicken Savory Pancake with chips - The chicken was oily and overcooked to such a level that I could not cut it, the mushrooms were under cooked and the pancake was way too thick. The chips were powdery, stale and inedible. My fiance ordered bolognese which did not taste bad but had about 3 tablespoons of mince in it for R100? Very overpriced. Never have I been so disappointed to pay R300 for a meal - money wasted. This really was a horrible experience.

Terrible. I ordered a freshly baked croissant. It is so terrible. The croissant was so old. Its been heated up so much that it went soggy. I definitely would not recommend this place. Been disappointed once again. Terrible

Extremely disappointed,,, waited very long for the food dispite restaurant been empty we ordered burger special food was very poor quality the burger was supposed to have avo but none on the burger... the patty supposed to be medium rear had been burnt the chips were old and had clearly been warmed up again... most disgusting was there was scrambled egg on the plate but burgers dont come with eggnever eating there again.... 🤮🤮🤮

Delicious food good service, value for money

Cafe Rousse has been closed for the last few months. Used to enjoy their breakfast and coffee. Was highly delighted to see that they are reopening in December. Only negative was a very noisy coffee machine. Hope they move it far from seated customers in new shop.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Go to Mugg and Bean instead. I will never ever come back. They took 10 minutes to give us menus. Then we waited an hour for eggs and bacon. What the Fricken heck. You have only four tables occupied and you still take an hour to make eggs and bacon. Useless. Then when the eggs did arrive it was well done and hard, the toast was black and the bacon was raw in places. I think this restaurant needs to really rethink things.

I had high expectations for this place since the advertisements placed around the mall inspired me to believe it was a good quality restaurant. My friends and I decided to try it out, the drinks we ordered were actually quick so I cannot complain about that, however my biggest disappointment was with the food, it was too oily, overcooked and I found two strands of hair in the meal. I was also disappointed with the service, our waiter was rather unpleasent. I would not really recommend this place in terms of quality.

Cappucinos are disgusting, tastes like hot milk. When we asked for an extra shot of espresso to put into our drinks we were charged for 4 coffees. The manager declined to take the extra shots off the bill and could not even be bothered to come out and talk to us in person. We will never go back there and will warn others to stay away.

Service was spot on ,but the food is horrible!!! I personally would not recommend this place.

The food is reasonably priced, the service we received was great, good food but they served me my smoothie in a dirty glass (the glass still had chocolate stains im assuming whoever used it before me had a chocolate milkshake) I ordered scones after my meal and they were so piping hot that I had to let them cool off and by that time they were so hard. Other than that I would definitely go again.

Should you still want to vissit.... dont expect the Manager to leave his cozy office to address your issue.
