Good italian food and great whisky selection!

In my opinion this is the best restaurant in Johannesburg, especially for whisky lovers. They have a small but epic food menu with a stunning selection of wines and one of the biggest whisky selections I know of.They also sell whisky off the shelf, most of which isnt readily available in liquor stores. So if you are a connoisseur then this place is for you.

Hi all the overall service was great , the starter calamari was good, the acutal prawns were tasty but the sauce was not great it was sweet and didnt go well with the meal. I think it should have been spicy or the waiter should have informed us it was a sweet sauce, my feelings is that for the price the prawns were not good value for money :( The porchine mushroom steak was great.

Beautiful place, food and staff. One of the best pastas Ive ever tasted. Only (big) downside is the menu, you have to ask what is in every item as from the names you cannot know what kind of sauces or meat is used.

Food was delicious, but dining experience was spoilt by the waiters opening and closing the front door all the time, a gust of icy wind blew in each time.It was bitterly cold yesterday, so noone was sitting outside, keep the thermometer and the sanitiser inside.

My favourite restaurant for Italian food in the city. Competent and friendly service, super tasty and fresh pastas, friendly prices, and a decent wine selection. Good people watching too when sitting outside.

Over-cooked, over-rich mussels were offset by a delightful artichoke ravioli and great service.I ordered the mussels as a starter and the artichoke ravioli with burned butter sage for a main.I thank my lucky stars that I only ordered the Mussels as a starter because they were extremely rich. While the sauce held a lot of delicious flavour, it carried a heaviness from thick cream and liberal sprinklings of garlic. The mussels were slightly shriveled and had either been over-cooked or had spent a bit too much time away from the sea-bed.My meal was redeemed by a delicious artichoke ravioli and glass of wine. We also had an attentive waitress and I was impressed by the great service.
