It was a surprise proposal and I was not involved with the design, but it’s stunningly beautiful.When designing the wedding band for my husband-to-be, the process at Katannuta was surprisingly easy! I have this ring now from 2017 and besides having to clean it periodically (as you would any ring) I love this ring. I had loads of conversations with Clare who has made every effort to make sure I am happy with the product. Engraving was free and it is one of the best as you dont feel it rub against your skin like some other rings do. The weight and everything is awesome. I had my concerns about durability and while I am careful while wearing it I have put it through the test (unwillingly) and am quite surprised by it. I dont know if I would ever want to change this ring

I am an EXTREMELY happy customer. I have a long review to really give you an idea of what to expect but if you can’t read the whole thing you can just know that it is excellence.Clare, the owner of the business, gives you her undivided attention and personally attends to every question and idea you have (something you don’t get most places as many of us know). Furthermore, she is a geologist and is passionate about educating her clients so she ensures you know all the important details before choosing your gemstone.Leading on from the previous, although they specialise in diamonds, Katanutta is the place to be for other precious and unusual gemstones. My fiancé and I have been looking for a peacock sapphire for many months, and we even bought a subpar one from another Jeweller which we weren’t happy with. When we found Clare she was able to source us many high quality and beautiful peacock sapphires to choose from substantially faster than any other jeweller we approached. Like I mentioned previously, she was also able to walk us through each stone to explain the different factors to consider (inclusions, colour etc). Many Jewellery stores simply cannot do this when it comes to unusual gemstones!After choosing our new stone with Clare, we decided to have it set in an antique inspired setting. We had a very specific idea in mind for this setting and were extremely pedantic about the design, and Clare treated us with the utmost patience and care, even allowing us to completely change the design once and make numerous adjustments to the new design until we were 100% satisfied. She was always available for a video call or phone call to discuss questions and concerns.Because of the unique design we wanted, Clare advised us that the CAD design was generally accurate in terms of what the ring would look like, but that a few finishes would have to be done by hand at the workshop to give it the antique look we ultimately desired. We went ahead with the design with bated breath to see what the ring would come out like after the work done by hand. Within 1 week of the level 3 lockdown starting my ring was ready, and my fiancé went to fetch it from Clare at 6:30am in the morning (while I was sleeping) so that he could surprise me! When he surprised me with the ring that night I wanted to cry with happiness. The ring is even better than what I had in mind, truly! The peacock sapphire is so vivid, a beautiful colour and has no visible inclusions (exactly what we asked for from Clare) and the setting is glorious and finely crafted. After having a bad experience at another well known Jeweller for our first engagement ring I can really appreciate how amazing this experience has been. We were treated with respect, patience, and care from day one and were delivered what we asked for and more, at a reasonable price for the superior quality. Thank you Clare, we are thrilled! Also, our ring came along with such delicious chocolates which we enjoyed together after my fiancé gave me the ring, yay!
