Their email communications indicate that it takes 48 hours to process claims, however it has been 5 days, today being the 6th day that our claim is being processed and Im sent around with no direct answer regarding the processing of the claim. In addition to this, their phone rings unanswered and non one has attended to my query.

You will bury without them concerning for claim,instead you will get auto reply saying stories within 48hrs ,be prepare to bury without them assisting you.i mean its covid funeral are so quick yet they take 2 weeks to pay

My aunt who is 64 years of has been sent from pillar to post as she has a Phakama family benefit cover under written by Safrican, she emailed all relevant documents including original policy but was told to claim at RAMAPH then it was back to Safrican and was also said to claim at Brokers claim at one life now back to Safrican. The level of incompetence also sending an elderly from pillar to post whereas every month they debited now shes been asked to send bank statement. I would not recommend your insurance to anyone as you are poor in resolving claims.

On Friday 05 February 2021 I tried to contact someone to assist me to submit a claim in respect of my husbands funeral policy. There was no reply to any of the phone numbers on the website, but I followed the instructions and submitted the claim accordingly. I have tried to follow up to find out how far the claim has progressed, but actually speaking to a Human seems not likely. I have submitted subsequent claims to the other email addresses on the website, but those, too, have not been acknowledged. Finally I managed to elicit a response from Busisiwe Mazibuko when I lodged a complaint via the website. She mentioned that I had spelt her name incorrectly (for which I apologize) and I needed to (re)submit the required documents. She has not responded to anything further. How can I get this claim finalised if I am unable to reach anyone via any of their contact routes?I see the reviews on the website appear to reflect my dilemma, so I am not unique in my dissatisfaction. I am still no more in the know regarding the progression (or not) of my claim.

Had a funeral at home send all my documentation in on monday and had not a response pass the 48hour mark. Funeral has passed and still no responds or policy pay out. Unprofessional would not advise anyone to get a policy with this company. You can never get hold of them on the phone either

I have been trying to get the debit order deductions correct now for more than a week. I was told as i noticed a wrong deduction from my bank account that they will call me back the same day i reported the matter. No call back received. When phoning Safrican the phone just ring and ring every call i hold on for more than 10 minutes. The wrong deduction i am reffering to is that some other person i do not know, her policy premium is deducted from my account. That is fraud. If i am not called back by tomorrow i will be making a case of fraud at the SAPD and report you to the Ombud Short Term Insurance. This is unacceptable. How many policy holders money are you taking per month without authorization!!!!!!
