Food is not great. Its just chillies. Not aromatic and with the standard Indian spices you would expect. The service is pretty much non existent. When you do get service the order is either wrong or forgotten about. You get billed for food that wasnt even served to you.

Not the best Ive had , the naan was about the best out of my order. I felt that the certain spice could have had more presence , I ordered my josh hot and it was not the case , also way too runny on the sauce. I felt more coriander and some extra kasmari chili powder would of added the look and taste. Curry is about depth and this one was rather shallow sorry to say.

We ordered a meal via Uber Eats at 7:11pm today (Valentines Day), and were assured wed have our meal by 7:39. Its now 8:44, and were still waiting. This is appalling. We wont be ordering food from Mantra again.

WORST RESTAURANT I have ever seen.We went to this restaurant on 14 Feb 2017 (valentines day) with family. They noted the order and didnt served anything on the table till an hour. When asked, they still wanted 15 more mins to serve. We waited almost 20 more minutes, but still no food.We asked, to serve at least a glass of simple tap water, they served us full glass of grubby water on the table. At last we left the restaurant without having any food or water, no staff was bothered that we are leaving.Giving one star only for opening the useless restaurant.

Ordered their food for the first time via Uber eats...food was not great my partner got a cockroach in her naan and the butter chicken was burned. We tried to call them to let them know but no one answered

There is no option of 1/2 or negative so one star..starter was ok..but the dal makhni was full of cloves so burning hot..no other taste..naans were hard..not eatble or presentable..service was slowest..I ll not cm again..dont recommend to my frds as wel..they need to improve

Apr 20 dinner: Decided on this place after searching for Indian places not far from Sandton. The ambience is nice with the walls adorned with white and black wallpapers. Among starters, had the paneer pudina tikka, tandoori tarkari, banjara kebab and prawns koliwada. Paneer was nice and soft and the pudina on the tikka was just right. The tandoori tarkari can be avoided. The other 2 starters were also good. The dal tadka was nice but the paneer tikka masala was very full of masala (spices). We were excited to have the chilli naan. But to our disappoinment, we were informed that they have run out of chills and out of 4, they could only serve 2 of those. This is very surprising - an Indian restaurant and no chillis!!!!!! However, the chilli naan was good and one should order it. The prices are quite okay and in a group of 8, the per person came to R 150 including one drink. The service was quite good but the food took quite some time to come to our table even though the place was hardly full on that night.
