Was a perfect high tea for a birthday. My guest and I were treated with care and felt really special. Beautiful hotel, great staff.

We had a wonderful and memorable high tea experience and journey at the Saxon Hotel from the minute we entered the gates and drove to the reception taking in the serene and tranquil gardens and sparkling and spectacular infinity pool, followed by the friendly valet service and staff. The high tea was exceptional and we were impressed and delighted by the attention to detail of our every need - this is service excellence! What a memorable and special occasion to celebrate a 75th birthday! We look forward to returning again and would highly recommend the Saxon for celebratory events, which is a real and unexpected gem right in the heart of Joburg!

Absolutely amazing, 5 star treatment. Went for Mommy-to-be massage The Spa was absolutely delightful. The High Tea🫖 treats we delicious, with social distancing maybe the hotel should consider an outdoor setting the piano was a bit loud, we couldnt hear each other.

Qunu restaurant service was impeccable. A truly fine dining experience from the wait staff to the live jazz music. The food was sublime. The crab and lemon verbena: that broth should be bottled and sold. Im not sure why we waited so long but we will definitely be regulars.

Saxon Hotels remain a very definite JHB must do.

The Saxon Hotel is synonym for perfection. After 14 months in lockdown it opened its doors again on 1 May 2021.The hotel and grounds are in pristine condition.The staff brilliantly trained and keen to attend to a patron’s every need.Covid protocols are fully adhered to and one feels safe and cared for.I recently enjoyed morning high-tea there with two girlfriends.We were spoilt in all ways.The ambience, decor warm and oh so elegant.The food prepared and served to perfection.Divided into a savoury and sweet menu we started with the savoury treats whilst sipping tall glasses of fizzling champagne.The sweet menu were served with options if black, white & green tea.A truly memorable experience

Oh my goodness. I had a spa day here. To say I was treated like royalty is an understatement. Thats what I call opulent living. I want to live here for real. Like, wow. I have no words.

We only went to the restaurant and the food was amazing. They have a separate vegetarian menu with some delicious dishes. Waiting staff was friendly but serving etiquette could be better, hence the 4 stars.

The spa at the Saxon Hotel is second to none. I took the Himalayan Journey which is a salt scrub and hot and cold stone massage. Absolutely amazing!

The Saxon oozes luxury and best-in-class service. If you have the opportunity to stay here then seize the opportunity to do so. The staff are the highlight for me. They genuinely want to deliver the best experience possible. A five star Google rating is genuinely not enough stars for this hotel!

This place is stunning. Fantastic service, hell, you get chauffeured around in expensive Germany machines. The food is staff you see on Masterchef. Its elegant, classy and damn right expensive. Only for those with deep pockets but worth every cent.

I had the time of my life celebrating my birthday at the Saxon spa. The service is on an executive class and the environment is exquisite. You can relax and enjoy listening to nature. They offered me a bottle of champagne one glass after the other and I loved the massage. This is a true definition of 5 star for me....I would go there if I was you.I went to the second entrance which leads to the parking lot and got a chauffeur to take me to the actual spa. I went up stairs and the whole experience felt like heaven.

Very nice place to have a high-end lunch. Their dessert was for me the highlight of the meal. Staff were very attentive and professional and kept us posted at all times with the progress of our dishes. We sat outside to enjoy our food to enjoy the breeze on what was otherwise a rather hot summer afternoon. Be prepared to pay for it all though but that is to be expected of the Saxon.

This hotel was fantastic. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. They have a beautiful outdoor pool and a really cool indoor/outdoor spa. I highly recommend this hotel.

Exceptional service and great food. The Saxon is a truly world class establishment. Every time I go there for a leisurely breakfast they never fail to amaze. As I live in Johannesburg I have never had reason to stay there overnight but based on my experiences there I would highly recommend it.The buildings are exquisite and the gardens are green, lush and immaculately maintained. A true oasis in the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg.

Went for dinner at Qunu, one of two restaurants at the Saxon hotel. It was amazing, the standard never drops and the staff literally caters to you. Excellent food, ambience and atmosphere.

Beautiful.hotel in great location to see the wonderful city of Joburg. So much to see, restaurants and bars as well as the Apartheid Museum. The hotel is first class with excellent cuisine and great facilities. The spa is first rate too!

Exquisite experience we had. It was indeed a royal birthday dinner celebration for our great and humbled lady M. Weve felt like royalty. The ambiance , chauffeur, reception, saxophonist, delicious 3 course meal, beverages and everything was on point.

What a delicious meal and the staff are outstanding. The guards at the gate were very friendly, the gentleman that walked me from the garage to hotel lobby was equally friendly and the restaurant staff were simply amazing. Thank you all and please tell Jane the food was marvelous.

Attended an evening function at the Saxon. From the staff at the entrance, to management, waiters etc. They were all very friendly and helpful. Wonderful attention to detail. Great red wine accompanied by excellent canapés. It was a good night out, even though some work needed to be done 😉

This is a very upmarket, secluded hotel offering patrons exclusivity and privacy. Here patrons are ushered with various Mercedes Benz C classes from parking to reception. The staff is so alert and very helpful. You get a sense that they are highly trained in customer satisfaction which bears testimony in their knowledge of food and winery.One of the striking features you will notice is their high walls, tall doors and windows. It is majestic and makes one feel like they are in the presence of greatness. The hotel offers conferences among overnight stays and other such like offerings.A 200g steak will set you back R320 in their restaurant. This is expected especially with the high end clientele it bolsters.

An amazing hotel that was a private home! It has two pools a gymnasium and spa. All rooms are suited and beautifully appointed. Incredibly tight security. Certainly worth a visit if only For a meal.

We went for High Tea to Celebrate my Sisters Birthday. It was an incrediable, experience. The staff at the gate were so friendly and helpful. Every single staff member welcomed us. The High Tea in the Piano Room was an experience that made the Celebration one of my Sisters best Birthdays, a celebration to remember. The food was Michelin style, The pastry Chef is phenomenal. The staff spoilt us and treated us like royalty.We have already said our celebrations will be at the Saxon always! Thank you to each and every person for making our celebration memorable.

My son is currently working at this hotel, hes very happy to work there because of their good service to the customers and he is learning a lot. My wife visited the hotel and she was treated like a queen, she was very, very happy and she wants to visit the hotel some other time soon.

We went for an afternoon of decadent deserts and cocktails... the service was excellent, the deserts amazing and the cocktails beautifully presented. A very special place indeed.

The Saxon Spa is my favourite spoil, I always feel so pampered and looked after. One of the most relaxing facials and I was glowing afterwards. They really think of everything.

The Saxon rarely disappoints. Their brunch is the best in Joburg. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the food is always great and all round its just an enjoyable experience.

This is a gorgeous gem in the center of Sandton, lush green garden, full of nature, tall old tress, grand entrance hall with posing staircase and beautiful views.The service is just as good, pointsman to direct you to making and take you to the reception in Mercedes car, I really liked the touch of quality.The staff seems to know what to do, I believe its the tradition of good quality service and training and attention to detail.

The place is just amazing with a personal history and a famous history. The hotel is beautiful decorated with African theme. The hotel have two restaurants which you can choose between a la carte or a set menu. The hotel also have a newly refurbished spa that does all sort of treatments. Most of all, it is situated in a busy area but you dont feel like you are.

The place is very tranquil, cosy and the views to die for. The food and the service out of this world. Loved every moment
