Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were nice. But heaters are noisy. Would like better 3 sleeper options. Other than that, all other was good.

Excellent guest services team. Friendly front desk staff who were able to accommodate us last minute. Great place for overnight stays whilst waiting for flights. Quite near to the airport. Shower water was cold, but other than that, the experience was okay.

Close to airport.. very practical if you are on a short layover. If you are in JNB for shopping.. it is right in between East Rand mall and East Gate mall. Nice relaxed and professional staff.. a home away from home...

Just a place to.sleep..dont.expect.anything from.front.desk...low budget hotel and u pay for everything else. Entrance not lighted and does not make one feel safe and welcomed..Very cold.personnel...next day I.prefered.to.move next door to Roadlodge and it felt.homely and.nice staff and nice breakfast.too at a reasonable.cost.

Rooms are clean and comfortable bed which are the two most important things, also quite well situated, staff very friendly.Very unfortunate that there are downstairs smoking rooms, the smell is very noticeable in the lobby and passageways even when you go up a floor. Rooms are carpeted, and a bit dated in general.

The Road Lodge is okay/fine. If you need a place to sleep which is clean and affordable then go for the Road Lodge. However do not expext anything fancy. The toilet is small and the shower is basically part of the room. A big plus is the friendly staff. Well trained and helpfull.

Very basic hotel at a reasonable rate. Great that Airport transfers are included for a very small fee. Good enough for one-night stop overs etc.

Centrally based for easy access to the R24, R21 and the airport. The rooms are clean, however they are dated. Especially the bed cover & curtains. They have recently updated their tvs with flat screens.

Not a bad residence, breakfast costs extra but worth it since theres not many options around. Convenient location just outside of the city. Wifi went out 1 night so that was unfortunate, but overall a very welcoming stay.

Cozy. Friendly, accommodating stuff. Good for business trips when you need a place to sleep. Only downside is the hot water - barely hot.

The main attraction of this place is the proximity to the airport and their regular shuttle service. Rooms are basic but the wifi is free and good for streaming. A kettle is provided and you need to buy the tea or coffie from reception. There are no safes in the rooms but a free luggage storage room is available in the lobby. Breakfast is offered but really basic and overpriced. You pay for the convenience. There is an adjoining steakhouse restaurant but it only opens at 10am.

I heard that they had a shuttle, will ask next time. Pretty standard fare, Road Lodge is a Road lodge. Amply Comfortable, reasonably secure and well priced, nice easy access to Airport

Clean bed and hot shower - value for money

It may be smaller and more compact than the City lodge but I believe its good value for money nonetheless.

Name of the hotel misleading,not located at Or Tambo international, but in another district few kms away. Use a shuttle or Uber. Visited guests there. Ok location when you find it. Bit confusing as there are two in the same road. This one is located behind SUN1. Lobby is really small, and the bathroom for visitors is very tiny. Staff not friendly. Stayed for my visit and left.

Only spent one night here, but quick and free wifi is appreciated. Was slightly disapointed to find that a room for three meant a double bed and a sleeper chair (matress?). The room was a bit small and the shower had no privacy.

Booked into the hotel, on the evening of 18 August (after 22:00). Was on a flight for 16 hours, and no sleep for 36 hours. Started to unpack, folded back the bedcovers, only to find that the linen on the bed has not been changed. On turning the pillows I found black hair. Utterly disgusted! I was moved to another room, but needless to say, I couldnt shower (God knows what was lurking in there), and couldnt sleep! Still awaiting response from management re my email.

Close to OR Thambo Airport, I paid R73.00 for a Uber Taxi, the Sun 1 are all the same, (Particularly similar to Formula 1) can sleep one to three people for the same price, there are also smoking and non smoking rooms which I like as I ama smoker. It is a very economical way to spend a night if waiting for a flight thefollowing day.Check out is at 12:00 but you can extend it to 14:00 for no extra cost.Would definitely recommend, breakfast is available for an extra R 50.00 per person if desired.
