Great shopping and fast tellers though there were people but the waiting time they made sure it was shortened. And above all the shop like any Woolworths is always clean and staff that have happy faces . That tells they work with their minds free no pressure from irritating managers. When management is good the staff delivers

Sadly on my first review I was thrilled with Woolworths East Rand Retail Center. However the following time go through I requested telephonically to please set 2x pickle fish and 2x quiche aside similar to my previous request. As I was rushing hubby collected the order while I grabbed a few other things. I noticed at the till he had been given extra Quiche which is no problem really the following day he left for a trip . I grabbed one of the pickled fish noticed it was open also had one of those stickers on promoting it to be sold less X amount .I thought hubs had opened it prior to leaving having a snack. Next thing I was down with extreme tummy pains and checking in with hubs he he didnt open the fish thus the lady at Woollies selected an older open .... Open pickle fish if I hadnt been in a rush I would have picked this up on collection. Now sick with my tummy I was not going to run around to Woollies to return. But I definitely will not request my order set aside and not check myself on collection. Please be careful should you preorder food goods.

Lovely place to shop at. They didnt have what I was actually looking for however the manager on duty was of utmost help to me and made sure I got an alternative. Very helpful!

One of the few woolies Ive not been happy with the quality. Recently bought lettuce, it had a caterpillar in it. Punnet of little tomatoes, 2 had to be tossed away. A packet of green peppers which were past their best. At the prices charged I shouldnt need to scrutinize the produce. These days my first choice is Checkers, then Woolies.

The minute you set your feet inside Woolies East Rand you will think, Wow, how awesomely big is this shop!? This must be where God does his shopping. Merchandise for miles and queues that is similarly impressive to pay for the goods. Impressive.

30 July 17h30 . 2 tills operational with a queue double the length if the queue line ! What do they not get! After work you do not want to spend 30min in the queue to pay! 9 March 2020 nothing has changed!Do not shop here after work unless you have an additional 30 min to stand in a queue! Management do not understand the concept of having tills manned at peak hour! Of the 10 tills on the over 10 items side there is 4 people on 3 tills and on the under 10 items there is 1 manned till. No management available on the floor. 5 Feb at 17h00 until 17h35!

I love this Woolworths because they have a really good deals. I would give it 5 stars if all the service was OK. The ladies at the FOODTOGO are sweethearts! And the staff at the WCAFÉ are (usually) really efficient BUT the till staff dont greet, they just start scanning and then they take ages to pack. They have no motivation or drive. Disappointing. Also the queues get ridiculously long at times (because of the zero motivated staff) so I always go over to the WCafe for faster service

Like all Woolworths stores, great IF they have the more popular fast moving items in stock. This store, being a larger store, is sometimes so busy and not enough tellers!!!!

After 17h00 there are limited cashiers although shop only closes at 20h00. Long queues. Frustrating as there ate about 11 till points and most of the time 3 cashiers. The express point have two till points but 1 cashier. Gueues there are just as long. Manager doesnt seem to be worried. Very disappointing.

Fully stocked Food Market. This is a stand-alone Food Store. Theres no Fashion, Beauty and Home goods. Hardly crowded with lots of parking space and security.

It has so much variety as far as healthy alternatives are concerned! From free range meat to organic virgin oils.

Disgusted with the service at the coffee stand on 21st Feb at 10:00am on Sunday. I popped in to buy 2 bunch of flowers and went to pay there she told me that you only buy coffee there and said that she will serve the lady behind me first which she did and I just stood there waiting. There was no one in the queue but she made me wait. I will never go there again. TEACH YOUR STAFF TO RESPECT THE CUSTOMER.DISGUSTED

Absolutely shocking management of this store. Besides a large percentage of empty shelves in the fresh produce and fresh food sections there were only three cashiers on duty and no tills operating in the express section. Obviously this store is struggling and poor management and leadership will lead to its demise. Never before have I experienced this in a Woolworths store nation wide.

If this store was a Checkers store, I would have given it a 4 or 5, however as a WW store the expectation tends to go up in accordance with the prices. I find that this particular store has many items out of stock more often than not. Also, so many items are being packed on the floor which makes it hard to navigate the store with a trolley - especially during covid times. The last thing that is important to mention is the fact that there is always a queue, a long queue, that sometimes goes through the vegetable isle even into the dairy section. Despite it being a typically busy time, such as a Sunday morning for example, very few cashiers are on duty.

Although the store is big, enough merchandise, enough of everything, I was disappointed in that there was no visible management around, queue was so long, and not enough cashiers to move the line. Also, were moved to a line just to go and stand for so much longer, this is unacceptable from Woolworths.

Shocking!! Woolworths just gets worse and worse. Most of their specials were NOT available. This is not the first time, they always blame the suppliers or a strike! Going downhill rapidly. Guess they taking a page out if Governments book. Really sad. Woolworths lost out, did 90% of my shopping elsewhere, again.

Woolworths is my jam 😂. Their specials are amazing and their fresh fruit and veggies stay fresh the entire month so no throwing away of anything and you dont have to eat everything all at once.

Really enjoy shopping here. Always tend to find what Im looking for - only product I struggle to find here is Unsweetened Almond Milk (its really popular - spoke to the manager once, and they really picked up their game - well done!). Staff is always friendly and helpful here - from the floor assistance to the cashiers - love their personalities. Awesome place to get organic fruit and veg ; divine desserts available- 1 stop shop for goodness. Thank you, keep it up!
