Im getting used to the new order on the shelves. Its a good design and makes more sense. Neverthess, shopping at the Spar Norwood has always been, and remains, one of the best shopping experiences Ive ever had in this decrepit South Africa i would certainly travel far and wide to shop here, not only for the helpfulness and attentiveness but also for their range of rare produce available nowhere else.

This store is so clean and inviting when you walk in. There is a good variety of products. My favourite thing to buy here lately is pork -free wors. Its so hard to come across such options for me. The management is active and visible. Always ready to give that extra appreciation to any customer they see in store. I love this Spar since I first walked in, in 2004. The reason why I am not giving it a 5 star rating is because I am not impressed with their parcel management system, or lack of. The security at the door seems to profile people as they walk in.

The Spar Norwood is the best supermarket in the country. Run by a family who cares . The place is clean, always someone to ask if necessary and a wide variety of products. easy parking. One does not have to stand in line too much as there are people directing you to empty tills so the line goes quickly. prices are good and they have a bottle store across the passage.Their butchery is very good as well as their fish counter..

Love this Spar, a) close to where I used to live, b) do most of my business. Located in heart of Norwood, ample parking, with selection of secure ATMs in parking lot as well. Large, light, spotless and aisles well marked, shopping is a pleasure, both quick or big monthly shops. My main visit is generally for the deli, with amazing selection of hot dishes, cold meats, pies, salads and cheeses. The bakery has a larger than normal selection of all types of breads and delicious sweet baked goodies. Challa a Friday essential always available. Friendly staff, lots of tills and hands on management makes busy queue days less stressful too.

I have been going to this Spar for years. I know lots of the staff by name and they are lovely. Manager is lovely.However after the treatment I received from the hot counter staff and owner today I will never be going back!

Love everything about this SPAR, recently moved to Norwood and love living so close to SPAR. The ready made meals are super tasty and one of my favorites: the pink pasta salad. Love it 💯💕

Extremely well managed. Even when busy, visible managers keeping the flow going at the tills. Superb and friendly tellers, very different from the morose, rude and dead-slow tellers at the nearby mall hyper. Great range of goods in a small store. Prices possibly sometimes a bit higher than the big stores, but they offer long operating hours with safe parking. Shelf packers excellent with great attention to detail and knowledge of their products - Joseph is superb!

Nice clean store with a large variety of groceries and more. Awsome bakery section as well. Tellers are efficient so the que is never too long.

While not being a SuperSpar, it is still a very good local shop, with all the basics and several extras. For example, it has both a kosher and a general deli section. The staff and management are friendly and attentive. Why not 5 stars.... perhaps it is the parking, perhaps it is the sense of space being cramped, it just isnt a super Spar.

Absolutly horified by the management and the staff at this establishment.The management team cornered me, and asked my why im using thier PUBLIC parking before asking me (a paying customer) to remove my vehicle. The situation was made absolutly more hostile by the fact that management asked a security team in the parking lot by the ATmS to forcefully remove me and my vehicle.Also bare in mind, this parking lot is not exclusivly for spar customers as there are banks and a post net to be accessed from this parking lotAbsolutely disgusting management, no protocols and just plain rude and hostile. i will be reporting this incident to head office.I have been purchasing from the spar daily and have receipts of purchases.You would think spar would protect and ensure customers retention. However this spar does not seem to care. Personally i will ensure head office does a formal investigation on this matter.

Until you learn that fragile things dont get floored into bags with things like cans and/or other weighty items, that rating will stay there. Also stop touching peoples food with your hands, virus or no virus.

Ive been shopping at this Spar Norwood for +15 years now. Staff and stuff are always great. But the colored lady now working at the bread dept is NOT. Shes very disrespectful and arrogant.

Didnt know where to stand to be served at cigarette/money market counter. No clear indication from which direction one needs to get served. Waited quite a while to be served.

Love this grocery store. It has an incredible selection for its size, meaning that every trip is a pleasant one because you always discover a new delicacy to buy. Great range of imported goods, outstanding bakery, and a strong butchery with Joburg’s best selection of game meat. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Parking is free for the first hour. Highly recommended!

Lovely, different foods and store is big. Only problem is once you are queuing near the front, there is no social distance. Found it difficult to pass people in the front of the store.

Lots of beggars in and around this centre, makes shopping here a hassle and uncomfortable as I know Ill be greeted by someone asking for money or food, security needs to be sorted in this centre before I consider going here again. Its down the road from me but Id rather travel five more minutes to a place that Im not harrassed by people wanting free hand outs. SORT THIS OUT
