As a reseller I was extremely disappointed in the way which my RMA was handled. I placed an order and collected via TGC, at my cost. One of the items (purchase price R260 odd) arrived DOA. When I logged the fault I was informed to return the unit per the following terms only if you are outside of 50KM’s from any of our branches will we arrange a courier to collect warranty items. to which I replied using the following as an example: Should I (the reseller) be located in KZN, would Syntech then collect, however, should we (the reseller) be located in Midrand (within 5km’s from their offices) you wont?. This made no sense, having to take on all responsibilities and logistical costs (in total of R300) to return their DOA item. The total cost to my company had now doubled. Not only did the matter jeopardize my relationship with our customer, it also questioned my businesss service delivery for the first time.I categorically state that during this debacle, no attempts from my Account manager or Senior management were made to contact me telephonically. I was simply slapped with Ts and Cs from their website.This review isnt deserving of the 1 star rating. Common sense, Customer Service and Delivery goes a long way, and must be the bones of all businesss, if they are to succeed under our current financial state.

I would not support them again. They shirked warranty responsibility for a Xiomi MiRobot that is less than 6 months old.Simply put: just stay away and find another supplier.Secondly: DO NOT BUY A XIOMI MIROBOT. There has been a mechanical failure that is not covered by the warranty.After engaging with their technician, who alleged that we stepped on it, we realised that he has an IT background and did not do root cause analysis to arrive at the verdict that we stepped on it, subsequently declaring that the warranty was void. We then spoke to the Operations Manager who had a nonsensical, illogical argument about why they would not honour the warranty. We asked that if we had indeed stepped on it, why the top flimsy plastic was not broken. He could not explain it. Weak logic and weak support.I would however like to mention that the internal accounts manager was responsive.Our verdict as two mechanical engineers: the point where it failed is a spring-attachment point, and also a high stress concentration point. Improper design or poor material are far more logical root causes.Very disappointing service - we will be taking it up with the OEM.
