Clever use of space in this narrow greenbelt. The ParkRun backs back on itself a few times during the route. The route is relatively flat with a sneaky uphill finish.A well-managed ParkRun with great volunteers.Dogs are allowed to join the run if on a short leash.

Interesting run. A small parkrun (199 runners on our Saturday we visited), well co-ordinated by very enthusiastic volunteers. Parking easy and available. its a relatively flat run, with only a few spots to watch your step - mud or rocky sections. The run doubles back in a few places, then cross a bridge and back but each is well guided by the marshalls. The graffiti along the water channel is interesting, particularly from the bridge which is not something you will see driving on the M1. The play area in the park we noted is a park gym, with the most interesting equipment. If you need some strength training after the run, its certainly worth a visit.

Great spirit and loads of people. This parkrun makes a loop of the same route (or parts thereof) , very dusty in October.

At least the parkrun is helping to clean up the park. Not as busy as some of the other parkruns

As a visitor, once again the volunteers make or break a parkrun and they were great. Cake afterwards due to the birthday. They do the best with the space available in the park so the route is filled with loops and oncoming runners, which can be a challenge for some people who want to overtake or walk alongside each other to chat. Relatively easy route.

Great park run... More of a trail run. So u gotta be careful of uneven terrain for the serious runners. The team is excellent and organised... Second to none and there visible armed security which just gives u peace of mind.

My kids loved it there every time we went there for a mini picnic , they would play and all that. But I think they should add more play kits. I love the green gym as well , its a different experience working out outdoors.

Nice smallish field, central location, easy to get to and lots of safe parking. Sadly, the park was filled with litter but hopefully the Parkrun participants will pick up litter and encourage other park users to do the same. Route is fairly flat (lots of false flats !) Downhill start and uphill finish. The course has lots of loops meaning if you are (like me and) at the back, you see all the front runners which can be inspiring (but also the opposite ;-) )

I wish people would not bring their poor dogs on the parkrun at 8am. Its way too hot for them. Imagine you being stuck in the over for an hour. Thats how they feel.

The volunteers were super friendly and helpful with an awesome vibe. However I cant say I enjoyed the course which runs alongside the busy M1. For those who dobt mind car fumes, the course was relatively flat and easy to find parking.

Wonderful to see a wide variety of people with family dogs taking a 5km run on a magnificent God given morning.Cleaned up a pirtion of the park so runners could be safe from injuriy due to broken bottles.

I love Parkrun and the officials here are friendly and helpful. The track, however, is very suboptimal. Mud, glass and litter everywhere and right next to the M1 highway.

The Athol parkrun is mainly on grass and sand. The route is basically a loop overlooking the M1 highway and although it is a dusty parkrun on a windy day, it is a relatively flat parkrun
