Benonis department does not have the ability to inform you of all that you need or what details are missing. Expect to go back 4 to 5 times within a period of 4 weeks minimum. Perhaps its a way to delay paying as it happens to everyone. Make sure you have your UI-19 FILLED IN ALL OVER AND DATED, a Service Certificate from the last employer, a Labour Salary schedule Dated on listing and above for period of service, UI-2.1Filled in all over and dated and as well UI-2.8 filled in and stamped by your bank. There is also a form you get after your 1st trip called the RS 001/04/15 that you get once they see all the listed above docs are there(fill this in when coming back for the appointment date). Then you will get an appointment date to come back to check again and finalize for payment. This date is usually 3 weeks to 6 weeks later , so sorry folks if you thought this goes fast. Minimum visits is 2 if you have everything correct. There are ques outside which you will wait in and get helped in when in front.

This is the most horrible place one has to go to. We are kept waiting outside. The Staff look tired and unhappy to see us so very early in the morning. I have had an experience with two different Groups as they alternate weeks. This weeks experience was the worst of all. The Government must take its employees for training, they lack Customer Service and they lack compassion

Please do prioritize pregnant women , Women with babies and elderly people.. Imagine holding a baby and not being helped first , do you guys know how it feels to wait on a queue for two hours as pregnant women??.. Please please please do better in this regard..

Been going back and forth since February, was promised to have my payment in by the end of March, then was told to leave my paperwork behind due to financial year end. Havent received anything yet and no matter how many times you phone, there is no answer. People dont have money for transport to go back and forth, at least answer your phones. Its been 5 days of constant phoning with no answer.

These people never answer their phones. My claim was approved months ago and no payment has been received. They dont answer the phones or respond to emails. The call centre is equally useless as is the ufilling portal. Im at my wits end with these people

Worth minus 10! Rude staff that has no mannersBeen going there for months just to hear the same thing.... If we dont receive UIF where are you paying it too?People in need, unemployed and looking for the support that the UIF is suppose to be.... Disgrace!Manager shirt hangs out with a pair of slops, he looks really unprofessional! Tried to talk to him once just to realise he has no clue what is going on in the office and referred me to another gentleman.Besides that he is just there for a few hours then he is gone...amazing how people stay in jobs when no service is provided....

I was there at the end of December there was no queue and the place was spotlessly clean inside.A lovely young lady by the name of Nozuko helped me, she was very friendly, helpful and efficient in solving my problem.The department of labour are so lucky to have her on their staff.Thank you Nozuko.

I applied for my maternity UIF on the 26th of November.. was told to wait 35 working days been trying to call to find out whats happening so I can atleast get a picture of whats happening. I have been calling for the past 2 weeks now and the phones keep getting put down.. i dont think thats fair your customers are trying to fine out what the progress is but you guys dont even bother to keep them update I mean thats your job ... i dont this this is fair what u guys are doing now we must go throw big measures just to get hold of you guys which is not right .. I mean come one guys do your work keep your customers happy and keep them informed of whats happening its not so hard ..

When we have people like Lindiwe and Rajanthran assisting then coming to the Department of Labour is not so daunting and when you have all your documents in place it does not take too long to process. Ive been there for 5 times , i applied for my martenity last year october and it February now everytime i go they tell my my application still not processed they dont even care you using money to go there ,they are so selfish they dont care about anyone exept then self ,it they very horrible ,since last year October and now it February tommorow im going ti ask for the next step where should i go as they dont process my staff at all

Long lines unnecessarySomeone should stand outside and people if everything needed is in place.... than stand for 4 hours when you get they send you back for more papers to the bank ect.... it is unfair when one loses his job and you get send from peter to post for documents.... how do we pay for our debt if you still need to wait 35 days or more?When one call the department no answer ... stand in the line again for 4 to 5 hours get told in process....... they must also accommodate elders standing in the lines for more hours.....

After waiting 3 and half hours outside was the service inside excellent, but only to hear they doing only Benoni, I have to go to Kemptonpark. If they can only do something on the outside to show where to que for example show the new applications on one side and queries or what ever on the other side. And put a notice on the outside that if you are not staying in Benoni, they cant help.

I submitted online in April. Went there 2 weeks ago then they told me my ui19 and salary schedule is not there. I went there todau to give in my ui19 and salary schedule. Now they tell me I have to come see the lady that helped me last time, but she is not there. I have to come back next week Friday. Why could thr person who helped me today not help me? You have to stand in line for hours on end.

Submitted UIF claim in June. Was told to come back after 35 days if I didnt get a sms or payment. Came back beginning August - was told it was processed - will get something within a week to 2 weeks - be patient. End August & I still havent received anything & Im going to be evicted tomorrow. Nobody answers the phone or responds to emails! They just dont care. Im back in the queue today - theres no social distancing & despite getting here early, Im still in a queue outside with about 25 people before me at 10h15!

This is utter nonsense!!! This office supposed to open at 7:30, it’s now 7:54 and they still haven’t allowed not one person to enter neither have they started with any screening. They just have a no care attitude. Absolutely pathetic!!

I just called them right now 8 times and no one answers and its un ethic and unprofessional. Its funny how people when looking for a job they agree to being professional, motivated, wiling to work overtime, willing to go an extra mile, etc. Once hired they cant even stretch their hands to pickup the phone.If anyone knows where can I take this further, they more than welcome to contact me because we really need fix problems once and for good.

Inept, inadequate, slow, unreliable, lazy and down right infuriating. They will send you around to sign forms several times not giving you the complete instruction set at the start of your journey, they will send you around inside the building in circles from one register to another and when you finally have gotten everything in order from your side they will take months to complete their own work, and when you go back to hear what the hold up is they will tell you to wait and see and come back another time. I was told to come back on 18th april but they failed to mention they will close at 10 in the morning for easter weekend cause they felt like take another extra day off for the whole GOVERMENT run building. I have visited this place almost 20 times to sort out UIF in the time span of 2 and a half months.

Poor service we were told the office closes at 12 but some of us were there long before 12 pm and we were told to drop our application in a random box placed outside after serious confrontation by the staff and their supervisor who was complaining to us about their workload but there working hour are till 16:00..old people come early in this cold only to be turned away is really heartbreaking..we were not even 10 at 12

Terrible service. I have been trying to apply for maternity benefits and I have been sent from pillar to post. What are these people thinking? If I am on maternity leave or being retrenched that means there is no means of income , how do we feed our families with this poor service that we receive. I have been trying to apply for the benefit since January till now, there is no response on how far the inspector is with the request of my ui 19 from my previous employer.Worst part is that after 6 months the claim will no longer be viable. This is my 5th month meaning after next month I will not get my benefit.Terrible service and terrible government. We dont get paid a lot that we can save and they are earning a lot sitting on their high chairs with people doing their jobs while they do nothing.Very upset. MXM
