One star is too much of a compliment.I bought my very first car at Peugeot northcliff, not an ordinary car a Peugeot 308 GTI .After my car was serviced before collection and promised me the car 100% , 6 days later after purchasing my new vehicle, it started to smoke and returned it back to them. It took them 3 weeks just to tell me what the problem was and i ended up getting a brand new engine with numerous other problems on the vehicle.After Peugeot had my vehicle for almost 2 months i got my car back with the exact same problems just with a new engine.(Im ending up paying almost 3 months over R 2500 pm for something i dont have nor drove.)I drove my car for just over a week when my check engine light switched on and my car did not want to exceed 1500 revs (Idle mode).. after that it wasnt drivable so in conclusion to this story, MY CAR IS STILL with Peugeot, with me using almost R 150 day to get to work & back because Peugeot cant provide me with a rental car and cant even bother with reimbursement.I cant hope for the best but i guess Im patiently waiting since no one is providing feedback.

1 star is too much. Contact parts and keep going back and forth between reception and parts with no answer. Left a message for parts to call me back and nothing happenned. This is the reason why aftermarket parts are used on vehicles because the customer service stinks and employees are not dedicated to their work.

Trying to speak to some one on the phone is near impossible. No one ever seems to answer. When they serviced my vehicle they never picked up that my breaks needed replacing. Quote for replacing breaks was more than double that other mechanics quoted me.

Peugeot Northcliff , is assisting the group ABSOLUT AUTO (neighbors) , The most unprofessional dealership you can imagine!The owner Riel Hugo does not care about any of your concerns, or measures on how to amend the problems, after he makes a sale!I have liaised with one of the sales employees, whom did assist from time to time, however the owner obviously makes the decisions. He lies, makes assumptions and sometimes ignores the calls of his customers , regarding the repairs or follow up once purchasing a vehicle from his dealership! I had traded in a perfectly & good condition vehicle, and did not expect to not be assisted in the proper manner after a sale.I experienced a smaller battery and incorrect battery inserted into the new car, leaking acid from the battery into the engine, error lights alerted for a few weeks (only fixed on the third attempt of taking it into low cost workshops) and still an issue, the loud rattles beneath the engine.They had me stranded on two occasions without a car, as mine was in a workshop (the same that out in the incorrect and damaged battery) WILLIAM NICOL MOTORS , and never reimbursed my travel or arranged a courtesy car. If I could redo the deal, I would never have chosen this dealership!The man is a greedy, unworthy person, he is in it for the money and does not care, even if you are a woman driver.I have reported this business to Motor Industry Ombudsman SA.

I think one star is too much of a compliment. I bought my first Peugeot car from Northcliff Dealership and this car was a joke. Not an ordinary car. The Peugeot 207 Coupe Convertible. After the first year of having this car, we had so many big problems, gear box went twice, thermostat twice, continues engine problems, leaking roof, the list was a book of serious issues. They at first refused to replace the car, until we had lawyers involved even after numerous complaints. They convinced us that this car was cursed but they were very reluctant to resolve the matter until we brought the lawyers in and had this attitude, the car is on a maintenance plan, so we are not charging you to replace the parts???Not understanding that it sitting with them for months at a time, and you are paying for something you are not using? They then eventually agreed to replace that car with with the Peugeot 508 at a reduced rate...we ended up buying a car that actually cost more than the previous car. Here is update on our current round with Peugeot Northcliff....Do I have news for you. This car spent more time at the dealership than with us. 2 x Books of Job Cards. We have to pay for the luxury and insurance of a car we cant drive, and held at ransom with their inability to diagnose issues correctly and constantly adding and changing car diagnosis and cars ends up weeks to months with them. Their parts dont last, neither do their cars. I have never seen this in my life. You know what they say? Never buy a French Car? In past 12 months this car was about 5-6 months with them if not longer because they never have the parts. Their policy changed that they only import parts in bulk, so if they dont have a big order from France, be ready to wait months. Serious Car Engine Issues happened within a year since having it, and we extended the warranty paying R13 000 cash. Then car breaks down again with the same occurring issue for 3 years - Engine and get told the compressors are the issue and out of the blue, it is 10 x worse....its the pistons. Wait for this...R160K which means the extended warranty of R13 000 means nothing. It doesnt cover more than R100 000? Isnt that a co-incidence? Our journey with Peugeot has been a nightmare and these incidents have been continues and it leaves us with no other option, but to open up a legal case against Peugeot SA and Peugeot Northcliff as they have failed us and there are many customers out there that experience the same issues, but this is just a continuation of our first legal case. Horrified and we will fight this issue to the end with legal council. The serious issues these cars have will shock you to the core. The value depreciation is unbelievable. We have a Toyota and not one issue like this ever happened in years of having it. This is the worst customer experience anyone can envision.

My vehicle has been there for a month now and i still havent even received a quote or prognosis as to what is wrong and what the plan is going forward. No communication at all. And never available when you call. Stay far away from this place.

Peugeot / Citroen Northcliff is DishonestI have a C3 Citroen with approx. 130 000 kms. In September 2019 I handed it in for a major service. I asked them to check everything since my daughter uses the car and is relocating to University in Cape Town. The car was supposed to leave them in perfect condition. And I paid for that. I over and over emphasises that they must return the car in a perfect condition and everything must be checked and fixed.It took them until November 2019 to get the most basic of parts.After 750 kms the brake pads were completely gone. I took it back on November 2019 to have that fixed and the replacement parts fitted. They did not check the brake pads at all when they did the comprehensive service in September 2019. Dishonestly charged me for a major service.The water pump broke recently (Jan 2020) and I took it in. Their quote was R17 000 and included a myriad of things nothing to do with the water pump. All of these were supposed to be checked in Sept 2019 and Nov 2019. It was all good when the car was there twice - a 100 kms ago and 750 kms ago. The explanation now is new things noticed. None of this mentioned in Nov 2019 or in Sept 2019 and the car had hardly been used. They want to replace the cambelt because fluid spilled on it ! Charged for a new cambelt kit. The other items are inexplicable. Now gaskets need to be replaced, the oil again (after a few hundred kms) and so the list goes on. I insisted that the oil be changed in Nov 2019 since I could not trust them that it was done in Sept 2019. If they did not check the brake pads, whey would they not cheat me on oil as well. So after about 100 km, now new oil again. Just one of many examples.In Sept 2019 I attempted to get hold of the Dealer Principal. No success. Always in meetings and never return calls. To busy to deal with clients. In Nov 2019 when it was discovered they never checked and replaced brake pads in a major service, I again tried to get hold of the Dealer Principal. Unavailable and never returned my calls. I have now tried to get hold of him and again he is in meetings. Unavailable.This garage cannot be trusted. They are plainly dishonest. Charge for items not done and dishonestly add items when the workshop is idle.

I used to think that they were so great. Little did I know that every time I took my car in for service and paid over R4000, these people were doing nothing but washing my car. I paid over R4000 for a car wash.Last month I took my car in because the battery was giving me issues and it wouldn’t start sometimes. They charged me R4000 to tell me that nothing was wrong with the car. A week later, my car wouldn’t start at all. I decided to take my car to Bosch in Randburg where they found 7 issues with the car, INCLUDING the battery!One of the issues was an oil leak that was caused by Peugeot Umhlanga in 2017. This Peugeot Northcliff never picked it up in the two years. Bosch found it while looking for a battery issue.Needless to say, I am never going back there again.

If there was an option for zero starts I would select that!!!! Elgin and Manager Donald lie through their teeth as easily as anything. Told me they needed my sons car for 1 week to sort the clutch. 2 and a half weeks later still no clutch!!!! Both these two clowns cant even get their lies straight and have different stories and different promises. Again, yesterday and today we were PROMISED the car would be ready for collection by 5pm. 4:20pm at least for once I get a call saying the part still hasnt arrived!!!! So done with this useless bunch. From what I have read on here Ill be going to Fourways in future. Useless, useless, useless!!!!

They kept my car for 3 days, telling me they were waiting on a part, and the whole country was out of stock, I told them Id pick up my car and they can call me when they had stock of the part. The moment I drove my car away, I phoned Peugeot Fourways to ask if they had the part, low and behold (despite Northcliff contacting everybody, but not a dealership 15km away) Fourways had stock.

Terrible service from the workshop and parts. I took my car to Peugeot Northcliff to check for a noise coming from the front left hand side of the car. They informed me that it was the bar link. I gave them permission to replace it and when I went for the car they told me that it was the shock. They wanted R9000 to supply and fit which is ridiculous. I got it fitted for R450. I also went to parts for a shock mounting and they looked on the system and told me that they needed to get it from France. They never even bother to phone any other branches to see if they had stock. I went back home and phoned Peugeot Fourways and Patrick was very helpful.

No one likes having to book their car in. Its always going to take long and cost more than youd like. Peugeot northcliff runs a mostly efficient garage. You have to book in advance and they give you a date to bring it in. Cars are checked in at 7am when they open and theyll have a pre populated sheet of whyve youve brought it in as per the phone call. They do a drive back service but not an afternoon pick up.It was implied my car might be done on the day but was only ready two days later. Normally Id be upset about this but they did a really stellar job of updating me on the progress and checking if certain unforeseen repairs should be done by quoting me first. Additionally something I did want fixed turned out to be very expensive so they again checked first before just going ahead. The staff were friendly and seemed to be motivated to do good work. The card machine was a little useless though and took forever to process the transaction. Also, although they did clean the car they did remove all the plastic they had laid down inside. Thats slightly but their workshop. However, all that said, Im giving them a four because the customer service was really quite good. Just sort out the final touches and it could be a five star place one day.

Dodgy Dealer, Bought a used car from dealership. Found a problem and they dont return calls. The DP Jean Basson denies all liabilty and even produced an invoice from a company i have never dealt with. This is probably so they can absolve their liability on guarantee and repairs. I will soon have all the emails and the ad online for anybody that thinks this cant possibly be true
