I visited the Motherland often in early day at The Zone. They opened early and no Seattle. The coffee was great in the early day, but it changed. They now serve a bitter espresso. Nice and strong, but the worst tasting espresso around and served lukewarm. It is consistent though-so I you like that burnt bitter taste, you will get it everytime. I went to the one in Sturdee road in old Sasol Building in Rosebank. Great interior, great place to sit for meetings etc. Baristas are generally as unfriendly as always. Spoke to owners long ago about problems, yet they just ignore the situation. So lovely place to visit interior wise. Unfriendly service. Bad coffee. I have you enough chances. They have a good loyalty programme.

This drinks are really good and are served quickly. They also sell frozen croissants and other dessert.

I really enjoy this location because of the easy access. Parking right out front means no mall lot hassles & you can keep an eye on your own car, even though there’s a security guy doing the same. Very friendly staff. Their MotherCuppa cappuccino is an absolute winner! I found the pastries a tad pricey…

Motherland coffee in Rosebank. This is one of my best places to read or have a coffee. This Motherland is not far from rosebank mall.It has a bench area with beautiful windows and small tables. They have plug points and fast wifi. Its a chilled and quiet place with great music that creates a great atmosphere. Motherland serves of the best and quality coffee in rosebank. They have the best coffee paired with amazing food. one of the best coffee shops in rosebank and Johannesburg.@motherlandcoffee

Nice place.Nice coffee. Food is different, pretty and nice too.Parking is an issue and if you like sitting outside like me, then it’s tricky.Only 3 tables outside and if parking full then not a great view.Hope they find a way for parking.Also could be great if they put menu to the tables or leave one at each table.They also need a small bookshelf inside.

Ive been to a few Motherlands and this certainly is the most unfriendly staff. For a 5 star experience rather drive a few km to Dunkeld or else Parktown North. MUCH FRIENDLIER STAFF. Wont go back there.

Cebtral and convenient location. Coffee is sometimes awesome and sometimes Luke warm. The cappuccino muffins are always delish. Open and organized early - which is convenient.

Very lovely place. Only problem is there is a major lack of single/double seated tables. I came in with my mother and brother and we stood around waiting for our food while multiple four seaters were occupied by a single person on a laptop.

Probably one of the best in Joburg. But.... parking can be an issue if its busy.

This place is a lovely hidden gem. I wish I had a brilliant little coffee shop on the ground floor of my office block.Motherland quality without all that fuss of a shopping centre.

This is by far my favourite place for coffee and a bite to eat! The staff are super friendly and helpful, the coffee is simply delicious every time (and sustainably sourced!), the food is fast/easy/light/reasonably-priced and super-yummy, and you dont have to go into a shopping centre to find parking. I choose this stop over any other if possible. Its also great for meetings and centrally located.

This was my time at this branch of Motherland, it was really good, baseline for a coffee shop is good coffee and this was just that. Tables were a little untidy and the single loo was not clean. If that was sorted Im sure I would have moved this to a five star rating.

One of my favourite motherland branches! The service is always relatively quick and the coffee is good. The beans are good quality and the baristas are great. Their chocolate brownies are my absolute favourite and Id definitely recommend trying them out!

This is totally the best coffee chain in Joburg and this branch in particular has a wonderful interior. But holy wow the parking lot at this branch is cramped and chaotic. Im not sure how to fix that, but if you can that would be awesome.

Great place, its actually the Motherland head office that has one of there own coffee places in front. Not as cosy a vibe so no couches and the like, more aimed at meetings. Since its not attached to any mall the walk in traffic is minimal but its a nice spot if you work on Rosebank and want to get away for a bit.
