Bembom looks amazing I love the decor of the place. The food was delicious and they have the best desserts and the service was great as well. Definitely recommend!

This is one of the few family owned restaurants still around. Owner is in the restaurant and you can see and taste it. Service impeccable food great prices are reasonable. Coffee great. Loved the coffee and the beef salad. I wont go back for the baked convectionaries. Although presented well, it was not super fresh, a bit tasteless and dry, but it could have been an old batch. Nice play area for the kids but not very well maintained. The other food was okay but not great also.

Love this place. Coffee, delicious. Oh my word those little custard , cinnamon tarts (not sure what theyre called, are amazing, could eat 6 of them. The food, over-all is really really good. Yum.

For years the only thing Ive ever had is takeaway Pastei de Natas from their various branches until now.We now have a branch relatively close to home and we stopped to have lunch. They have a good variety of food on the menu, and of course a fantastic deli section of cakes to indulge ie. The Pastei de natas of course. To eat I had the Fillet topped with a fried egg, and chips on the side with a Portuguese roll known as Bitoque à cervejaria - butter, garlic, beer, mustard and fresh cream sauce.OMG that sauce is amazing. It could be a bit thicker but its bursting with flavour and that Portuguese rolls soaks it all up. Its a definite must to try, they have another 2 varieties of this dish. My brother and sister had different sandwiches which also looked great.On the 20th of each month they do a R20 special like a Coffee and 2 mini Pastei de Nata for R20, or a Prego for R20 - all sit down only.Give them a try, they have alot of branches popping up all over JHB. The bakery is mezmorising. The most beautiful fresh mouth watering delacacies. I just had to get a few Pastel de Nata as a take away, some of the best I ever had. The coffee is great, staff are friendly and overall people were smiling.

Great food. A refreshing and unique offering!

The menu is really not clear. We ordered a Half Francesinha, on the menu it said that it was served with a beer gravy, this was served in a bowl of soup so the bread was completely soggy. The lump of Mozzarella cheese on the top slice was rubbery and inedible. We did ask to speak to the manager who assured us that this was how the dish was meant to be served. When I showed him the bread he said it had been toasted first, which was irrelevant as it had made no difference to the bread left afloat in the ocean of gravy. The ham slice had an unusual flavour and the chicken was over cooked. Chips were good but we not enough to redeem this dish. Very disappointed ☹️

Had a latte here. Staff seemed in a bad mood - normally means the manager is not great. Was fairly busy but the floor manager kinda ignored us when we asked questions. Maybe it was a bad day. Our waitress was quite nice tho. coffee was nice. Try it and see, maybe it will be better for you...

We got there at 15:45 and were told that coffee orders must be placed immediately as they want to clean the coffee machine. We ordered a sandwich but could not order more drinks with it. We had to take the cheesecake as a takeaway because they wanted to clean where we were sitting...we were home by 17:00. ?? Business hours are not as posted on the doors.

Lovely inside and the staff are amazing sadly though if you popping in for a quick takeway of a small warm pie etc on your way to work after 7... there was nothing available so we ended up going back the garage. However I have been told the food is amazing

A true Portuguese cozinha. I love the bakery side but make no mistakes the restaurant food is good too. My favourite is the bitoque (steak egg and chips). These guys know what a medium steak is.Do yourself a favour and visit them on the 20th of each month. Ask them for their 20/20 special. You wont regret it.Very well priced with good, friendly service.

The food is nice and tasteful, but the people sits at the doors entrance and smoke their cigarettes. We as none smokers cant stand it, especially if your kid has asthma.
