The packaged biltong tastes like toes that has not been washed for the last week. The service is great(the smiles is probably because they know what you are getting).

Today I bought 2.5kg of spare ribs for R179.99.The ribs actually weigh 2.2kg.The packed date on the ribs vacuum bag is 2/11/2019 however the shop label is dated as packed 23/11/2019.Nice one meat world. You have managed to misrepresent your product twice in one sale.How do you actually manage your dates if you misrepresent your product?Time to find another butcher for me. Not happy about this.

Meat world in Boksburg is extremely busy all the time. It’s the type of business that has completely lost touch with its clients and you end up being treated like the cattle that they cut up. There is a guy that works there called Steve who really takes the time to try and help. He looked extremely busy, but he stopped what he was doing to spend some one with us spec’ing meat for our establishment. A really nice and patient guy.Having said that, the shop looks like it turns over stock so fast and that it’s so busy that they struggle to keep it clean and neat. There was a hell of a lot of, what looked like mud, that was being traipsed in and out of the shop. It looked like a combination of dirt and animal blood 🤢.The owner (or the director) of the establishment is an extremely rude person. I got the distinct impression that he had a take it or leave it attitude. Any attempt to procure better pricing for a long term commitment from us was met with a blunt; “those are our prices”. Irrespective of wether he gave us a discount or not, we were planning on using them as a supplier, but it was the genuine lack of customer service and friendliness from the boss that irritated me.The meat is well priced (not the lowest, but they do have good prices). I wouldn’t necessarily recommend them because of the rudeness I experienced from the owner.

This is the best butchers in the eastrand, they are friendly and know theyre customers and they make you feel at home and dont get me started about the meat, its worth every cent which is very affordable, its always super fresh and smells cooked but its not so I really love it, only eat meat from meat world boksburg k90

Prices are fair and the place is relatively clean. Some meat items on the shelves were previously frozen, so you need to make sure you read the labels.

The service is good. We asked a random staff member where something was, instead of just giving us the directions, she led us to what we were looking for. However their products are more expensive than the meat world we usually buy at so thats somewhat disappointing.

This really is the best meat world to go to... their staff are friendly and helpful, their shop is clean and well stocked and their pricing is excellent. We drive there from Benoni just to buy biltong... We get twice as much as the prices from the other shops and the flavor and quality is of the best. Their ribs are also divine and you also get twice as much. They are value for money without comprising on quality!! Thank you Meat World Boksburg

Been shock to see how they stuff a hindqauter up when they sell it, open a pack of rump steak for 4 people and find 2 steaks, rest look like chillie bites, then we try a pack of T bone just to see the same storry will ad pics soon. Its a shame we were 200km away when this happend, a butcher would have looked like the meat. New owners new problems keep your meat will buy elswere, one star still to good for you

We have been loyal customers for years. Every now and then got bad meat. Left it and did not report. However this time I bought their mince on special, nearyly 3 kgs worth, went straight home and put in fridge to pack it later.When later came, the mince had a very brownish colour. Opened one packet and found it was off. They were closed already. Went back early the next morning. On arrival I was passed through 3 pairs of hands before somebody helped me. A man named Carlitos asked me if it was me that phoned about the mince, I said no, came straight here. He looked at the mince and said nothing wrong with it. I asked him if he is sure, because you could see it on 5 metres it looked off. He argued, so I asked him to open a packet and smell. He got cross and took the mince and strormed off while saying there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I asked then why did somebody else phone about the same problem. But got no response. I was very discusted at the way I was treated by Carlitos. Thinking twice now before I take anything they have on special.This was really bad of him. At least the other ladies were helpfull and apologised.

Today they made me feel like a criminal. I took a packet from the fridge and when I got to the paypoint they said the price was wrong. They informed me that the client need to compare the price tag to the bar code to verify the price. I dont think it is my duty to check the lable but the attitude of the cashier and the supervisor said it was my fault. NOT ON

Im a fairly regular customer and the cutting and packing of meat always takes a long time as they never have enough people on duty to perform that function. I also hate that you have to show your receipt at the exit. I understand that they may have suffered losses due to theft but surely the search can be done more tactfully. On the other hand, the meat is of good quality and pricing is reasonable. Its the only reason I keep going back.

Been a regular customer for years but the quality of the meat is steadily declining, care is not taken when packaging, copious amounts of blood always found outside the packaging and ends up in the car, on my floors and inside my fridge. to be fair they are reasonably priced.

Bought dry biltong of the hook and had it sliced. When I got home and opened the bag it had a horrible smell and clearly unsafe to consume. I returned it and was refunded... will definitely not be buying my biltong from there ever again.
