Positive: Breakfast was delicious and beautifully served. Delia is a wonderful host, so friendly, and her attention to detail cant be faulted. The gardens of Rutland House are beautiful so it is a very relaxing place to stay. I wouldnt consider staying anywhere else.. Negative: It is perfect exactly as it is!.

Colleagues and I have been staying periosically over the last three years. It is a lovely peaceful place to stay with a few different configurations of rooms/suites. The breakfast is served in a beautiful sunny room and cooked on the spot by the owner. Great central location. Highly recommended.

What an awesome place. Lovely people, safe and beautiful area. Beautiful gardens. Neat, clean, comfortable rooms. Close to city Centre but feels as if you are out in the country. Its so quiet and peaceful. Really worth a visit

Set in a beautiful garden which encircles the whole property, Rutland House certainly made our final days in South Africa memorable. Our lovely host, Delia, was welcoming, informative and supportive of our needs. The well appointed room was spacious, private and airy, and was like a comfortable old armchair. Daily cooked breakfasts courtesy of the friendly Sarah were delicious and the use of the house dining room overlooking the garden was a great way to start each day. An extended checkout was kindly accommodated and the recommendation of the Cnr Cafe for nightly dinners was a very good choice and only a short stroll away. Happily recommend this spot which is about 40 minutes from the airport, secure, friendly and above all very restful.

Excellent quite place to stay in Johannesburg. Very well maintained. Very clean and secure. Good internet. Fresh and healthy breakfast. Small garden and pool is very attractive. The owner Dalia is very nice lady. This place is also very popular on trip advisor.

Very nice, stayed the for 2 nights during winter. Only complaint I have is that the bathroom is absolutely freezing. A heater in the bathroom would definately have earned them a 5 star rating from me.

Delia did an excellent job at making myself and my team feel at ease and very at home with them. We stayed for two nights on our business trip and were quite sad to be moving on to the second leg of our trip!Their rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. Best of all, they flow out onto a beautifully manicured garden. Little touches make a big difference - such as filter coffee in the rooms and fresh milk in the fridge for coffee. Each room felt like a cottage unto its own equiped with all the essentials and made for a restful retreat from the day. Breakfast was also quite simply - brilliant.Relax by the pool on a sweltering day and enjoy a glass of wine. I will certainly be back on my next business trip.

WHAT A RUDE OWNER. I ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A ONE DAY BOOKING AT THIS PLACE. TRIED TO DO A PAYMENT BUT WAS DECLINED DUE TO LIMITS BEING EXCEEDED- COOL, I TOLD THE LADY I WAS STILL GOING TO ARRIVE AND MAKE THE PAYMENT THEN. I DID HOWEVER FIND IT A BIT STRANGE THAT SHE CAME ON SO STRONG, KEPT CALLING AND MESSAGING SEEMED A BIT DESPERATE. AT THE END OF THE DAY, I ENDED UP HAVING TO PICK MY BABY UP IN SOWETO AS MY MOM COULD NOT GET OFF FROM WORK AND WASNT ABLE TO BABY SIT FOR ME ANYMORE. SO MY HUSBAND DECIDED TO BOOK A PLACE CLOSER WHICH WAS ALSO A BIT CHEAPER. THE OWNER OF THIS RUTLAND JOINT WAS STILL CALLING AND TEXTING ME THAT NIGHT AGAIN COMING ON TOO STRONG - I MEAN REALLY ??? SO WHAT I CHANGED MY MIND I CAN DO WHAT EVER I WANT AND I DO NOT HAVE TO REPLY TO YOUR CONSTANT MESSAGES AND PHONE CALLS. SHE STILL ENDED UP DEBITING MY ACCOUNT AND THEN HAVING THE NERVE TO TELL ME SHE WANTS TO TEACH ME A LESSON!!! BTW, I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY MONEY. PEOPLE DONT GO THERE!!!

Positif: Bed & Breakfast très agréable dans un quartier calme de Johannesburg. Nous avions un cottage avec 2 chambres, salon, cuisine et salle de bain. Excellente literie, propreté irréprochable. Nous avons été réveillés par le chant des oiseaux le matin. Delia accueille ses hôtes très chaleureusement, a un merveilleux jardin et le petit déjeuner était copieux et bon. Nous avons suivi ses recommandations pour aller manger et organiser une visite de Johannesburg et nous navons pas été déçu!.
