Looking for something new, quirky and interesting? Do you like what the Melville scene has to offer, well then have you heard of the latest offering that is The Tiny Tiki Bar, and the Anti-Social Social club? I recently got to experience it, and its something different. Situated on 3rd Avenue Melville, on the corner of 7th Street is where you will find these 2 new hangouts.Tiny Tiki, is quirky and upbeat and just gives that summer feeling with everything bacon. Yes, Bacon 😍🥓🥓🥓🥓🥞. They serve breakfast all day, and their opening times are from 10:00 till 22:00, Monday to Sunday.Their Island inspired Cocktails are delicious, we were all welcomed with a Zombie - consisting of Four different Rums, with a show stopper homemade overproof Rum, a spoonful of Apricot Syrup, topped with Pineapple Juice, Angostura Bitters and a dusting of Nutmeg all served in an adorable Tiki Mugs. Thereafter we got to enjoy one of my favourite drinks from my travels - The Singapore Sling - A fantastic mix of Gin, Grand Mariner, Cherry syrup with Grenadine topped with Pineapple Juice and Lime, with a slight herbal hint.Cocktails are not badly priced, and they are quite tasty. To eat, we had the Comfort Bowl - House made Apple-butter Bacon, Cinnamon French Toast and Potato hash, a Fried egg (which is free range BTW), Walnut and Bacon Praline and a Cranberry Chutney. Then we tried the Bacon Pancake Stack - 3 pancakes, which were rather crispy on the edges with House made Miso and Maple Bacon, with 2 Free Range eggs, Maple Syrup and Blueberry Compote (sadly i am not a blueberry fan so i gave that portion a miss) and its decent portion sizes. With a pretty good start, we then went off to the Anti-Social Social club, to see what they have on offer. The decor is alot more simple and open and fresh. Their hours are wednesday to sundays 15:00 to 02:00. The flavours here are more eastern/asian inspired and even the cocktails have a different vibe. To eat we shared the Tuna Tataki, - seared Tuna with Black and White sesame seeds, Soy Lime Dressing, Avo, Pickled Daikon and ginger. Personally I found this tasteless and the ginger pieces were too big and harsh, only once the soy sauce was used did it give it some life. The Korean BBQ ribs, slow cooked and glazed in BBQ spices, now this was finger licking good. Meaty full of flavour with quite a kick to it. A sprinkle of lemon juice just helped bring it together. There was also a Chicken option for those not eating pork, which for me just need to be cleaned a bit more. The Vietnamese Rice Paper rolls were fresh and crisp, filled with Carrots, Cucumber, Coriander, Mint and Spring Onion enveloped in soft rice paper wrappers, served with a Chilli and Lime dipping sauce. Now for the drinks, we were all mesmerized by the Red Lotus, purely because of its presentation. Vodka, Cranberry and a squeeze of lime - whats not to love, paired with an Asian flair of Lychee and Elderflower. The old Fashioned with Miso and Maple Bacon, was a bit harsh for me, this was a combo of Makers Mark Bourbon, Orange zest, 4 drops Orange bitters, Aromatic bitters and topped with maple syrup. Ill just have the Maple bacon thanks. To round off, we had Tropical Munchies - 3 Fried doughballs with your choice of Mango or Passion fruit Custard. The dough was too dry and we needed more of the custard as it was hidden at the bottom of the bowl.P.s. if you into wine, they do stock a specific wine brand only - CavalliThanks to Alex, Andrew and Caitlin for giving us the lowdown on your new venture and for hosting us. It was an absolute pleasure meeting all of you and tasting whats on offer. I am sure it is a welcome vibrant addition to Melville.#TheFoodMusketeer#TheFoodMusketeerEats#TheFoodMusketeerDrinks#TFMTinyTiki#TFMAntiSocial

Flamingos. Tropical wallpaper. And tiki glasses serving cocktails... thats all you need for a little bit of fun!A little cozy inside, but does offer outdoor seating. Bar seating as well if you want to share conversation over drinks.Menu isnt huge and I like that so you get concentrated flavours in a meal.Friendly atmosphere and people to match.Ill be going back to have more all day breakfasts and just because.

Although the drinks are incredible, the manager is a disgrace. He spent the whole night screaming and swearing at the staff. He honestly could not hold his temper for more than 5 minutes which is unfortunate considering how amazing the staff are. It also seemed like he made up issues just to be able to start shouting at someone again, it was very bizarre.
