Im actually not sure about the quality because the person I took is not pleased as they are ridiculously expensive you would think being so expensive the job you do would prevent you from coming back . I dont think service centres realise how costly it is to come up with lump sums they are charging because its your car and it was made apart you have no option but to except the repair charge just because you dont want to go up and down looking for cheaper repair centres.So in my opinion please dont overcharge people because you dont know their situation you might say its got nothing to do with you , its your business because you will have a customer for life if you treat them well .Thank you be considerate.

Had my gearbox repaired in 2018 never gave me problems snce

Had my gearbox replaced by them in November 2020, and seemed like a good job at the time. Six months later one gearbox mounting came out which caused another one to break. Because I have never heard of gearbox mountings that come undone and break without having had work done on it and looking at the scuff marks around the mountings I can only assume that the gearbox was not attached properly. I conveniently covered more kilos than specified on their invoice so they decided that they were not at fault or responsible. Lesson to learn here is that I suppose you need to check your gearbox mountings with every car service as they have a tendency to spontaneously come undone.

Overall good experience in transmission repairs and are very dedicated to be the best, always got the right tool of the job.

They have to run diagnostics at R1300 on gearbox to quote a repair. Money is tight but i trust this company to do a good job.

Awful service - it took almost a week for the first quote which was exorbitant. Then we endured another two weeks of back and forth with Grant continuously promising to get back to us and having to be chased up. When he finally came back with something reasonable, we were about to give the go-ahead when he suddenly added on a ridiculous amount for labour.To put the cherry on top, when I picked up the box, they forgot the most valuable bits and I had to make another trip to pick them up

Not so good when it comes to helping customers

Not impressed given that they tried 4 times to sort my brand new Navara diff out over months. At 9k kilometers the new parts failed again and i sold the Navara back to Nissan and bought a hi-lux. Never ending aggro 😡😡

Disgusted by the service received from Mayfair in Johannesburg! After repairing my gearbox and after numerous calls without any response, I had to take the car back twice because the issue was not fixed and it was not programmed correctly. They offered me a rental car, but this car is unsafe to drive with. Notifications such as check airbag constantly appears. There are open wires where the radio is and not even to mention how filthy the car is and the smell is just awful! Unacceptable to offer a car in such a state to a customer. This has honestly been the worst experience I have ever had. Do not make use of their services!

Terrible repairs took almost a month cost a fortune and managed to crack the windshield

Unprofessional, unqualified, incompetent and a total lack of accountability to repair your vehicle. Management should get their house in order. Your vehicle sits in their yard while it gets used for spare parts, probably from staff and then no one knows anything about it?Atrocious work, with no pride!I will tell everyone, awful service and ability.You lie and cant be trusted.
