Found a slice of In n Out at BGR, South Africa. Best burgers in JoBrug hands down. Beef patties are super fresh (not frozen) and they have a free of charge lemonade refill system which I love! Highly recommend

BGR has some simple, tasty American-style burgers that are always a treat to have. Not the best burgers in town but still high up on the list! Plus they are super affordable for the quality you get. However their sides let them down quite a bit. The chips aren’t bad but not the best. The chocolate frozen custard is mint flavoured (and for someone who hates mint ice cream, a warning would have been nice so I could have avoided ordering it). So the milkshake and mixed frozen custard I ordered I ended up not eating. So a bit disappointing but definitely go through to try their burgers!

Absolutely shocking service. The order came out wrong, the music was so loud the cashier couldnt hear a word when taking out order. The tables were left with previous customers rubbish and not a single table was wiped down and sanitised to protect their customers. Never again.

What an incredible burger.Not trying to be overly fancy...just great flavors and high quality ingredients. I would say for the price point(very reasonable)one of the best burgers in JHB. Ill be back

Burger was fine. Except we order 3 burgers1. no garnish - it came with garnish2. The works + jalapeño- it came with no jalapeño3. The works + bacon- it came with jalapeño and baconThen we ordered 2 x coke floats and a sparkling water. We got 1 sparkling water and 2 x cokes… waited 15 minutes and still no coke float (we had to go to the counter to ask for our coke float)The gentleman taking our order couldn’t be bothered, in fact I think we were bothering him. BGR was a great experience. The beef burger comes alive with a splash of jalapenos and bacon strips. I will definitely come back for more.

World class burger joint. It would not be an exaggeration to compare BGR to the likes of Shake Shack or Five Guys... they are that legit. Style is smashburger and you order single/double, with/without cheese and bacon, the rest of the toppings are free and your choice of what to add. The fries are perfectly cooked and crispy (many places in Joburg cant make decent fries). They offer a local lager beer and make shakes, too. Would go again and again.

After wandering in to a fairly industrial looking space with cold lighting and concrete floors, the friendly staff make it feel warm. This is by no means fast food, but if you have a little while to wait, do.The burger was a little oily, but incredibly tasty - the fries were fairly standard fare. Chocolate milkshake is fantastic and the inclusion of home-made lemonade and iced tea, and a craft beer on tap was very welcome.The menu structure is simple and easy: R65 for a cheese burger, R85 for a double (I think without cheese it was R5 cheaper) - burger price remains fixed whether you have all the toppings or none at all - with the exception of bacon, which is R25 extra.In summary, strange space with great staff, slow but wonderful and simple food and drink. I’ll definitely be back.

The burgers with the American bacon were good and flavoursome.However, the chips were too crispy, but the supervisor was kind enough to request for a new batch to be made for us. Therefore, customer service-wise, they are wonderful and considerate. They need an increase in the drink option, because they are serving burgers. A good drink is a need.

Not your average take away - their burgers might not be huge, but they more than make up for it with flavour!Also, their unique way of assembling the burgers based on what you order with certain flat rate charges makes their menu very basic, but incredibly versatile. I will definitely pop in whenever Im in the area again - by far one of the best burgers Ive had in Joburg!

This place is all about good food and by food I mean burgers. These are categorically the best burgers in Johannesburg (if not the world). The decor is a link rusty but charming in an industrial cool kinda way. Parking should be an issue but somehow you always find something.

Supposedly the best burger in town. I have some been there 3 times, each time to take someone else there to brag. However, each time my order has been messed up and incorrect. I finally complained on Thursday last week after my 3rd and FINAL visit here. I will not be back as once again I had to wait over 30 minutes for my order to be corrected, in a completely empty restaurant, which is always empty, not to my surprise. I highly suggest you have a hard long look at your business and operations as you have just lost a customer, and cost me more than R700 in poor experiences in your establishment. Thanks.

Good burgers, you can taste the fact that their smash burger isnt frozen. Cooked well, chips are great and nice clean setup. Worth the time... Like the pager that vibrates when youre order is ready.

Probably the best fast food burger in town. American diner feel. Youll have the opportunity of shaping your burger to how you please. No frills, no fuss type of a place. The meat patty is delicious and cooked to perfection. First Thursdays is a good day to go but the place will be quite busy toward the end of the evening so the wait can be longer than expected

I had the double cheeseburger and fries and was blown away. These burgers are really really good. The menu is simple - choose either a double or single patty burger and add a number of fairly standard toppings of your choice. Well priced, will be back.
