Nice place. Gracious host. Close to the main road. There is a SuperSpar with Tops and a Woolworths food close by. Nice kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and washing machine. There is a salon on site which was reasonably priced. There is no rush when having your hair done. The hairdresser was punctual and reasonably priced. Just make sure to make an appointment. Fantastic service all around.

I liked the look and feel and quietness of the environment. For a self catering we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay but I didnt like the shower and the beds could be better. Other than that its an ok place to book with friends for a night stay over braai and drinks.

The Green Lantern was really cosy with a huge old bath and also in close proximity to a lot of really nice restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back soon

Very new on the letting scene but what loverly people and great accommodations

Weve stayed here on a couple of occasions and have never had a problem and always enjoyed our stay there.Its always spotlessly clean, it has been very tastefully decorated and is in a very good location.If you want to see the Midlands Meander, it is ideally situated.The Nelson Mandela capture sight is a stones throw from here too.I love going horseracing whilst in South Africa and Scottsville racecourse is very close by. Greyville another nice racecourse is in Durban, about an hour and a half away.Howick is a nice little town, with its own, very impressive waterfall. There are quite a few shops/stalls around the falls selling African art at very reasonable prices. You can always barter with the vendors, they almost expect it. Please remember though, they are trying to make a living.Back to the Green Lantern, you will most likely meet Daniel, he runs the place. He is very knowledgeable about the whole area.Im a bit of a closet bird watcher and Daniel has a vast knowledge of local bird life. He could talk all day about that stuff.He can also help with all the local eating and drinking establishments, as he has tried them all........allegedly!!If that is your thing, Dans the Man!To sum up, The Green Lantern, is in an excellent spot, its a charming property and is very reasonably priced.
