The gin cocktails, the delicious food and the friendly staff were all beyond amazing and the whole atmosphere was a wonderful way to spend our heritage morning! Drinks okay (not even half a shot of coffee was used in the latte) , food awful - absolutely no taste. Unhygienic as the chef does not wear gloves whilst preparing the food. Not meeting covid regulations at all. Very disappointed, had very high hopes 🤔

Village was a perfect lunch stop in Howick. The space is so refreshing and the food was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive, and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here.The menu is offers a range of tasteful and healthy breakfasts, lunches and snacks. As well as the full complement of coffees and treats. They even offer a pleasing array of non-alcoholic Gins, Wines and Beers.Ill be back here very soon and would recommend it to anyone and everyone.(Id also recommend popping by Ground in Hilton for their more café/coffee-focused edition)

The service was really good, its been ages since I got great service in a restaurant. The waiters are very well trained. The food was delicious, they have a lot of vegetarian options. Also a great view of Karkloof.

Very pleasant venue with a choice of two restaurants. The Village had excellent meal woth good service and stunning views.

Again, the food did not disappoint! We were pleasantly surprised to find the verandah enclosed with glass sliding doors. This creates a nice space for parents with children who want to play in the outdoor area. Definitely worth a visit!

Found the service was a bit slow, waitress forgot kids menu and forgot to bring a drink. Seemed like was she was too busy. The burger and chips were great but the breakfasts came out cold.

We arrived at an awkward time - past breakfast but before lunch (their menu has time-restricted offerings). However, the chef was very accommodating and made 3 x sandwiches for a few in our group of nine pax. The menu has delicious options and they are able to indulge vegan taste buds. The setting is stunning, the staff efficient and so friendly (big thank you to Londi!). A variety of milk alternatives are offered, the coffee is so yummy! Presentation of food is great. All areas are sparkly-clean and Covid secure. Thank you for a truly lovely visit!

Such a beautiful place (interiors and the the views) to hang out. No healthy snack choices, just cakes, if youre wanting something quick and light and healthy.

If there exists a place with a more friendly and efficient ethos, i have yet to find it......BRILLIANT, laidback vibe at night, upbeat yet relaxed in the morning. Unhurried, real food along with real, happy and beautiful people who do not hover....one feels as though not only is ones belly being well attended, ones soul feels more relaxed as well. 100% WORTH A VISIT!!!!

My family and I took a drive to Yard 41 and had the loveliest time at Village. The staff were extremely polite, warm and welcoming. We felt right at home. Good COVID-19 safety protocols were in place with tables being well spaced. The food was fresh, unique and absolutely divine. The place is very aesthetic and has a great atmosphere. An excellent place to sit down, enjoy a meal and let hours pass by. We will definitely be back!

The vegetarian medley was a divine array of interesting flavours. Good coffee too. The service from Thando was very good. Food and coffee took a little too long to come out initially but once the ball got rolling, everything went smoothly. A lovely experience.

Ive joined Village for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and have not been disappointed as of yet. Will continue to be a must-do visit for every trip back home to Natal.Of course, the coffee is also top-notch (same owners as the renowned speciality coffee house in Hilton – Ground Coffee).

Me and a friend were visiting Howick from Durban and went there for breakfast. We were welcomed by a friendly waitress and seated at our table while overlooking the most breathtaking view. The service was absolutely amazing, food was mouthwatering and a very good presentation as well. We were personally checked by the manager/owner if all was going well. Everything was just too perfect.

We had lunch upon recommendation from Ultima Thule Cottages and were impressed from the moment we were greeted by friendly staff. The food was absolutely divine. I had chicken kebabs which were succulent and the wife had a selection of salads choice salads. Will gladly recommend to anybody looking for a tasty meal at an awesome restaurant!

Friendly staff, well priced and well presented food in a stunning setting with an amazing view over the valley towards Karkloof.Suggest management advertises on the outside of the building to make Village (Yard 41) more visible as an eatery to prospective diners.

The most delicious food and wonderful, friendly service. It’s lovely to take kids too as there’s a play area outside which makes all the difference. We will be back!

If you looking for a lovely spot for brekkie or lunch then I highly recommend Village and Yard 41. I had an amazing breakfast there. Staff are super friendly and organized, the space is children and pet friendly, the space is beautiful and food is delicious. Will definitely be back very soon.

I had the most amazing first experience at Village on Sat 30th Jan. Met a friend for breakfast and the food was worth more than what we paid as was the service. However the above-and-beyond approach we received when asking for freshly squeezed juice was the kicker. Not having a fresh juice menu and in an experimental phase, we were asked if we’d like to be test subjects for their new house recipe. At no cost. The juice was refreshing but the friendliness amazing!Craig, well done to you and your team. Was a pleasure being exposed to your wonderful spot and I will most certainly be returning!

After spending the morning doing the Gilboa hike, we decided to brunch at Village. The setting is beautiful overlooking the valley, and we were seated on the verandah. Our waitress took our orders and the kitchen ran behind, the result being that our meals took very long to be served. It could be that they are short staffed and I feel they could improve in this area. The food itself was well presented and tasty. A pity that our waitress didnt report back to us earlier and small things that she could have remedied like refill our water were not done. Luckily we were not in a hurry, but if we were, think we would not have been as patient.

Whenever I’m in Howick I always make it a point to pop in at Village, Yard 41, Howick. The food is out of the world, my Café Mocha, which is my regular drink order, always tastes like heaven. The atmosphere is amazing. It’s always great to bump into Craig Smith and have small talk.

Definitely worth a stop if your are driving past the midland or doing a visit to the area. I Spent 2 days at this restaurant doing some carpentry. Every cup of coffee I had was superb (they are passionate about their coffee), staff are really friendly and their is a wonderful work atmosphere amongst all the staff throughout the day. Highly recommend both their Chicken and Mayo Sandwich and some of the best Mac & Cheese I have ever had (Beside me wifes) :-)

There is an interesting breakfast menu, I really enjoyed the Farmers daughter breakfast and my wife loved the zucchini rosti breakfast. The coffee is great. Lovely play area for our granddaughter.
