The food is really good. Prices are average. Lovely setting. Very friendly staff. Nice place off the beaten track to eat, chat & take a break on a long trip.

Huge portions and an extensive vegan menu. The food is AMAZINGLY delicious and is absolutely perfect to enjoy with a group or as a date with your partner. The environment is lovely: all the staff are welcoming and friendly and the restaurant is comfortable and inviting. I cant help myself but to pick the vegan basil pesto pasta every time because its just so delectable!

The expensive but excellent quality food was incongruent with the shabby decor and run down look. Service was excellent and kudos to the chef whose performance put his plates in the top of what Pietermaritzburg and surrounds offers

Most delicious food served at this restaurant. During lockdown, they had the most wonderful Sunday roast lunches that would be delivered at home! Definitely give this restaurant a try.

The food was tasty but the inflexibility was disappointing. One member of our party who ordered the fillet asked for veg instead of the salad and was told it would cost extra. Since the price of the fillet is not cheap one would hope for a slither of flexibility in what accompanies it. Also when booking we were asked whether it was for a birthday, which it was, but this was not followed up at all, so Im not sure why they bothered asking.

Late afternoon lunch disappointment!A bad day to dine at the Snooty Fox.Chef doesnt care that you ordered your fillet med rare.He makes them all well done.Should have sent all the meals back today. Really disappointed with Snooty Fox.

We have had many meals at the Snooty Fox and have to say that they are a wonderful venue that serve great, well presented food. I would also highly recommend leaving space for dessert - these are usually pretty special.Staff are always happy to see you and a very friendly team - WELL DONE.

Good food

Had the Veg Beetroot Burgers. Was looking forward to it but they were bland. Friend had a lamb curry which she enjoyed. Well presented food and good but slow service. Birthday platter was a nice touch. Decor is very old school if you do/dont enjoy that type of decor.
