Basic nice Pub. No frills. Prices very reasonable. Mostly locals.

The outside area deco is dated but can be overlooked by the friendly staff and tasty food. Good value for money. Great specials on lunches everyday. Cappuccino was very beautiful presented and tasted great.

The food was good and value for money. Just the price of a shandy was rediculous. R16 each for lemonade and soda water and R8 for a shot of bitters. Cheaper to have a beer or glass of wine. Service pleasant.

Sunday roast was excellent value. Better than most meals served at a pub. Meat, both pork and beef were succulent, chocolate pudding with ice cream was delicious. The wine, served in a carafe, was the one known as Unbelievable.

A true pub. Nothing flashy, but comfortable and welcoming. Great food and service. The eisbein was evenly crispy all round. Yummy!

I have been a customer at Red Tap from 2005.Today I was banned from the facility for saying what I believe is true.I was attacked vebally in the street by the owner for giving my true opinion. I have been a helpful and friendly customer at the Red Tap for many years and to be treated in this way has really made me upset.I am not going to let this rest.I wish the very helpful and friendly staff and the kitchen staff the very best.Thank you for all your wonderful service. I will continue to be a friend.

Disclaimer: I am biased, Ive been a Red Tap supporter for almost 10 years... That said, it is still one of the nicest places to spend an evening out with friends in Howick; good food, good people, good environment, you really cant go wrong with Tap. :)

No power during load shedding

Under new management/owners. The red tap is going to be the place to be seen. The new owners of Just over three weeks have already turned the place around. The staff are friendly and attentive, just like it used to be only better in my opinion. The new owners have big plans to reinvent the menu. I look forward to all the exciting changes the owners have in the pipeline.Its a while since I was there and they seen to have hit the wall.. pity they dont change the entertainment more frequently..😏

The Red Tap is Howicks local watering hole and a great place to meet the locals. Karaoke on Wednesday nights is the best night out. Enjoy😀
