We loved every minute of our stay here, when you get out of your chalet there are animals walking around (Impalas, Zebras, Buffalo and more) I saw Ostriches as well fenced in. Theres a restaurant that has the most devine food, with a crocodile dam downstairs. You can braai as well. Theres a kiddies play area as well as a pool and TV Room. About 5 - 10 mimutes to the Hluhluwe Game Reserve. The staff are helpful and very friendly, its an experience that will forever be in my heart.

Ubizane is a magical and a home away from home. Thank you too the staff and a special thanks to Candice whom made our stay at Ubizane a very friendly and welcoming stay. She helped my wife and myself with our luggage with no issues at all. She had a warm welcoming smile and spoke with such proficiency. My two children absolutely loved her kindness. She made the most pleasurable moment of our stay. She always made sure we were happy and gave us such warm morning greetings. Thank you Candice, rooms were clean and we were welcomed with beautiful flowers.

The accommodation was lovely and clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful . We loved the safaris we went on and our guides Anton and FF were amazing with so much information, humour and were always thinking of how to make our experience a one to remember. The food was absolutely mouth watering a credit to the chef and the wait staff were very attentive. Thank you Ubizane for making our stay memorable.

Great place! It was amazing to wake up with zebras and other antelope on our doorstep. The service is good. The food is also good. The swimming pool was not clean though.If you are self catering just remember to buy your food before you reach Hluhluwe as there are no suitable places to buy food in the area.

Come here to have a true bush experience. With some chalets hanging on trees, its an unforgettable experience. Here you also get to enjoy your meals while overlooking a small reptiles park.

Big disappointment. Great rooms and friendly staff but the food was disgusting and there was nothing to do.

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Zululand Safari Lodge as a family of four. Our kids so enjoyed seeing Buck, Giraffe, buffalo and many more animals every day during our stay. There are jungle gyms for the kids and a pool for those hot days in a wonderful relaxing environment while buck and Zebra casually come and drink water from a nearby waterhole. We highly recommend this lodge for families, couples or on your own , the staff are very friendly and easy to chat to. The units are very clean and comfortable and fully equipped with every basic need even braai tongs if you want to braai out side amongst the buck and fresh air.

This venue is top class- centrally situated in Zululand making it a 5star base to visit the surrounding attractions!

Very well welcomed on our arrival, the reserve is 15 minutes away from the main Game Reserve which is Hluhluwe Game Reserve. They have nyala, zebras, and giraffes, ostrich there. The rooms have that vintage feel since they modern huts with air-conditioning in them nyala are freely roaming not scared of humans a swimming pool is available since KZN is very hot, a boma for an around the fire gathering. 5 star for the great experience. Oh there are Crocodiles there as well that are in an enclosure.

Top class rustic feel with good service, animals wandering freely through the buildings, thankfully no predators, great atmosphere, very relaxing.

Did you love a tree house when you were young? All the rooms at Ubizane Tree Lodge are situated on stilts above the ground within a forest of large fever trees which provides the senses with interesting dynamics.About 15 years ago this lodge was very run down and badly managed so we stopped visits. Over Christmas 2011 and last week we spent time at this old favourite and I am pleased to report it is better than ever. Now under new ownership and extremely attentive management the lodge has been transformed to surpass its best days of its past.Accomodation, food and service is now of a very high standard. I highly recommend this lodge for a peaceful, relaxing and romantic getaway.Another Bad Day in Zululand!.

The bad food spoils the overall experience. Whilst the bedrooms were fine, the reception rooms & dining area are I need of a revamp.

We had two nights here and we did a morning drive to the nearby iMfolozi Game Reserve. We enjoyed this trip and start very early. When you come back, you can still have breakfast. Morning Drive has been a very nice guide. What we did not like is the masses of safaris bustling at the game reserve hotspots. Partly it was very close. The lodge has a nice pool which we used for 2 hours. You can walk around the grounds. There are giraffes, zebras and other animals that move freely. We had a tree lodge we can recommend. Good air conditioning and comfortable beds. The food was okay but not anymore. We did not like the crocodile enclosure where some crocodiles are locked up so that tourists can see them from the dining table, illuminated by a bright spotlight. The staff seemed partly reserved and therefore not so friendly. We can recommend the Tree Lodge for a night or two. Either you only stay in transit and take in the morning before the onward journey with a Morning Drive or you stay two nights and relaxed in addition to the pool.

NO LODGE !! but a small private wildlife reserve.In the reserve there are: Zululand Tree Lodge and Zululand Safari LodgeI rated Tree Lodge very well in a separate entry - this rating is for the Wildlife Reserve.Reserve without big cats, without buffalos & elephants - if you want a safari, go to the Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve with a good chance of rhino, elephant and buffalo. I have a separate entry for EuroZulu Safari.

Very nice lodge in the heart of nature. From the terrace of the lodge you can watch wild animals or book a guided safari. Close up of wilderness. The food was very good and for breakfast the monkeys watch.
