We had a lovely night with great service. In the past we have not had amazing experiences here, but were pleasantly surprised to see improvements. The food is great Portuguese style seafood, with some delicious options for those that dont enjoy seafood. Being a huge fan of prawns and calamari, they have great platters to give you a bit of everything. Highly recommend the peri peri chicken and of course the R&R cocktail.

I love Mozambik the restaurant, the serve is amazing and the flavors are just out of this world good, like thinking about it three days later good! Worth the try definitely. 👍

Although the restaurant was neat, the staff friendly, the food left a lot be desired. Oily & under-seasoned vegetables, really small portions failed to impress. I literally had five chips on my plate & half a serving spoon of rice with my main. Not my favorite Mazambik in Durban.

The most consistent restaurant in Durban over the last ten years. Always serving up incredibly tasty food, and service is always excellent. Love the sauces, and my wife always enjoys the veg curry.

Great service. Just food wasnt very good. The bread served with chicken livers was fresh and tasty. But sadly main meal wasnt very good (Valentines special platter), lacked taste and kitchen took forever to prepare because the waiter said they had too many takeaway orders.

Update: portions are much smaller, chips tasted like cardboard but much worse and too many excuses made for the bad, overpriced meal. Service and ambience was great and our main meals excellent. But beer from Mozambique is no longer stocked and the ice-cream used in the desserts is really now tasteless...

Nice, service was friendly. Food was good though medium prawns lacked flesh. Finger bowls should come to the table immediately after prawns are set down. Really good haloumi starter with sweet chilli sauce.

I highly recommend Mozambik for the greatest food in town, they have an awesome and diverse menu, the decor in the restaurant is lovely, you can sit inside or on the enclosed balcony. Nice friendly staff. Oh I can highly recommend their Rum & Raspberry, order it by the glass or by a jug for the whole table to share, it’s absolutely delicious everyone enjoys it!

Great atmosphere and terrific food. Very good service on one of the busiest nights ( Valentines) definitely recommended and will visit again soon....PS the Porto steak is fantastic....spoil yourself and get the fillet version....meat is like butter!!

We went for dinner as a group of eight ladies. A very laid back, upbeat atmosphere.Everyone enjoyed their various meals and have dined their frequently. It was quiet on a Thursday but there was still a car guard, a necessity these days. Service was prompt. On the whole a most enjoyable evening.

This time last year went on our first date here. Food was amazing. Sat outside talking until 2 in the morning. That was amazing. Tonight went back for one year anniversary. I have to say food was even better than last year. Nice vibe and extremely pleasant staff who go out of their way to help. It is so worth the money spent. 10 out of 10.

Food was mediocre, I ordered the chicken and calamari combo, I enjoyed the chicken the sauce has a nice tang, however was dissatisfied with the kiddies area, the room was small, cramped and hidden in the corner near the entrance/exit making it a safety hazard for kids including no supervision by any appointed staff member..... Overall a 6/10 would recommend

My Mom and I absolutely love this place. Sometimes well even pop in for a simple cup of coffee just to enjoy the ambience. Great service, top notch food and just a lovely place to spoil a loved one. Our waiter went the extra mile on my moms birthday to ensure she got a killer dessert.

The quality of food and service keeps changing. My second last visit was a disaster. We waited 90 minutes for our food. My partners food was taken back by the manager who indicated that he was not satisfied with it and we then waited another 45 minutes for her new dish to arrive. My last visit a week ago was much better; good service and my dish was up to the usual standards. Well done guys. I had lunch with you again today and the food was up to the same standard I had become used to

The service was absolutely pathetic!We took our guests from Switzerland for dinner, and were ver disappointed compared to our previous experiences here.We waited over an hour and a half to get our mains and weren’t asked if we would like another round of drinks after our first round as we got there. Everything we wanted we had to ask for including pacing our orders.After 1h45mins we went to complain to the manager/owner who apologised halfheartedly.The food did tase very good when we eventually got it, despite the very poor service.Don’t think I’ll be returning any time soon.

When ever we go out with friends it is generally to Mozambik in Hillcrest. The food is always delicious and service is always excellent. Definitely recommend this establishment

The food was very good but the service was very bad.the table next to us was served before ourselves even though we were there before them. They left another couple arrived they were served and left just after our food was served. We then waited at least 45 minutes for 2 of our table to have a creme Brulee. Like to go there again but service must be improved otherwise it will be the last time.Sincerely hope this helps. Les Fleming.

Service was friendly and we had a fantastic shared platter which was good value with variety and great taste. However my experience was marred by the surprisingly expensive alcoholic ginger beer which was charged out at R59 a pop which I believe is very overpriced, I felt a bit ambushed to be quite honest, one doesnt want to sound cheap by asking the price of everything but R171 for 3 drinks? I found the menu quite pricey relative to Durban, maybe its a Hillcrest thing?
