We went for the fish and chips special on Thursday evening and we were so surprised. Good portions of hake and chips. Some off us orderd veggies and grilled hake and it was the best. We really would recommend this restaurant.

The food was good and fresh, but the service was terribly slow. Not only did the food take long, but the drinks too. The table next to us also complained as half of the table had their meals already and the kids were still waiting for theirs. Might be worth a visit when its not busy.

We enjoyed our meal here. Really good service too. Nice views of the bay and no doubt during the day you will get good whale sightings while enjoying a glass of wine!

I was impressed with this restaurant as i was walking towards it, climbed the stairs and upon entry, just fell inlove with it. The waiters greeted us with such enthusiasm and excitement, i knew i would enjoy it. We had the calamari starter, was so delicious with their tartar sauce. Portions could be more, thats how delicious they were 😅😅. I havent had hake in a while, but their hake was magnificent. Ive had a couple of fries in my lifetime, but theirs had me hooked. Had to ask our waiter Bongani how they prepare them. Loved every minute of being there, and the draught hit the spot too. Beautifull, intimate, cosy, neat and clean establishment.

Seriously from start to finish, this restaurant knows what they are doing.I have eaten in some of the finest restaurants in the world, this little restaurant has all the boxes ticked.Service is on the ball, no waiting or asking for service.The Sushi is possible the finest I have eaten, with such a great menu of sushi this place is a must for all those who enjoy sushi.Price wise, not too expensive but valued at its worth.Highly recommended

Great views out over the old harbor. Friendly and helpful staff. We weren’t particularly hungry so ordered a mix of starters to share between the two of us. The salt and pepper squid was delicious as were the fresh oysters. The haloumi with melon and balsamic was rather tasty. Lastly we had the tempura prawn which was good as it arrived but quickly cooled down and was not quite as nice. Add some Creation Sauvignon Blanc and a craft beer (a local lager) and life was food.

Last night we went to Lemonicious for a celebratory anniversary dinner. We were a bit apprehensive because we had read mixed reviews. We need not have feared as the service was excellent as was the food and the sea views. We had the king prawns and seafood paella, which we shared as we often do. Both were really good. The seafood paella was not a traditional Spanish paella, but had more of a curry flavour, which surprisingly worked and was full of cod, prawns, mussels and calamari. We finished our meal off with a lovely honey, halva ice-cream. On paying the bill the coffee and ice-cream hadnt been added, when my husband queried it, they said it was because we had had to wait to be seated as there was a large group in front of us when we arrived at the restaurant. Well done to the manager, to our waiter, Simon and to the chef for making this an all round memorable evening. I had to chuckle as it was our anniversary and on the wall behind us was a picture with The secret ingredient is love, which seemed very fitting for the occasion.

Fish and chips fresh and delicious, but tempura prawn starter very disappointing. Not the light crispy batter I was hoping for, but thick and soft. Service was great, waiters very friendly and a beautifully located restaurant to watch the whales and ocean over the bay.

Oysters 5/5Thai curry 5/5Sushi 5/5Even though the food was amazing, it was made all that more special by zack.Zack you made us feel right at home, you took extra care of the kids, you ensured you took a fee minutes to assist them with things to entertain them.Staff and food make a restaurant, you can have all thr bells and whistles but I you dont have great staff passionate about their work you become jus another place you just visited.We are coming back Friday and making plans for the new year at lemonicious.

We visited Lemonicious this evening. Our dining experience was Great, but the service we received by our Waitron Zack was The Most Impeccable Ever! Our little one was taken care of while we could unwind and enjoy our Meal. We enjoyed the Most Amazing King Prawns and Line Fish 😋. Covid 19 Regulations are Strictly adhered to. We will definitely be back to Lemonicious when we are in Hermanus again. Blessings Lee Family

The food is excellent here, their fish dishes are among the best I have ever had. Can highly recommend the Grilled Tuna and Teriyaki Salmon both were cooked to perfection and incredibly juicy.The food is decently priced for the restaurants location with a wonderful view over the bay. The only downside was that we had to wait quite a long time for every course that was ordered. It was worth the wait but to keep in mind if you are limited on time.

Awful ,sushi that looks better than it tastes.The fish wasn’t fresh as it should be.The sushi rice was bland and soggy and felt more like a machine-pressed paste. The seaweed soggy... Wasabi had no flavor.Steak my husband ordered was undercooked. Service was also subpar. It was all chaotic, disorganised.Wrong orders were being brought to the table.The food from the kitchen came out and we then waited roughly 45 minutes for the sushi to come out.Dirty tables, very uncomfortable chairs. Manager on duty was useless. Complained he told me they were busy. Waiter couldn’t conserve in English/Afrikaans. Do yourself a favour go elsewhere.

Best Seafood in Hermanus. Beautiful King Prawns and Seafood Paella.

The restaurant has a great vantage point over the ocean which would be ideal during the whale watching season. The Kingklip Fish dish is a truely South African show piece which is not only beautifully presented but cooked as well. The local Hermanus Old Harbour Craft beer which has won the 2017 South African Craft beer competition, is also available. The combination of these two makes it a memorable experience. Bookings for the evening are recommended.
