Delicious food and amazing staff. The cooks have focused on a small menu which they absolutely nailed!

Tranquil location hidden away from the hustle of Hermanus. Has the most amazing blackboard menu, great character and Anton (owner and head chef) is quite a character. Highly recommended! 🤙🏽

Great food good food always something different.

Recommended to us on day two of honeymoon. I was so excited to visit the restaurant, as the Marine Hotel we are staying at recommended it. As we arrived to the restaurant we took a sneak peak at the art gallery. I found the perfect whale for our home in DC. See photo below!Unfortunately as we went to the dining room and were greeted by the hostess, all else went down hill.Greeted, do you have a reservation? Response: Yes! Hostess: followed by asking if the table was for two..? Response:Yes, please!Hostess: (as a bigger all white table comes in) “are you the table for 8?” Response for that table: Yes, actually we are only 7.Hostess then proceeds to sit them. Hostess takes our two menus and sits the group.Disappointed as Hermanus to me is known for the amazing food, and service. In a perfect world we would hope to be seated before seating later customers.As a mixed couple, not letting us down. But wanted to warn others. Excited for the rest of the city!

Presentation and all dishes outstanding.

This is not dinner, this is an experience... wow! What incredible flavours and personalised service. Every bite was delicious and I never knew onion could be the star of a dish until eating here. If you are looking for a place of romance and something a little different, this is it- you will not be disappointed.

Great decor, ambiance, and service. Truly a great experience eating there. The waiter is highly educated on the meals, gives great inside info and advice on dishes, explains everything clearly and enthusiastically.

Under new ownership, lovely garden space. The food is still great, they have stuck to the concept of really good seasonal food. Dessert is made in house, as are things like jams for teas etc. Its like visiting a old friend who is a incredibly cook. Great!

This place is always excellent. Lovely setting and the atmosphere relaxed. Food a fusion from different countries from chef Anton. Wine list from local farms is well chosen.

We love the tranquil, relaxed atmosphere at this quaint Eatery. Meals are freshly prepared and the menu changes daily to offer patrons something delicious to choose from. They are also pet friendly which is great :)

Wonderful, well priced food in the centre of Hermanus. Excellent host, who explained the menu well and gave helpful suggestions about our wine choices and also how to make the most of our drive back to Cape Town airport!

Unfriendly to newcomers

Very disappointing, very nice dishes and the cool place but lacking in flavor, we ordered a lamb toast that was the only really good thing, we ate a risotto that was gone and tasted nothing, horrible and a curry that was not bad but to Computation bad value for money.

Great starters and simply fantastic main courses with very good service! Finely selected wine list with excellent wines by the glass. All in all, very good value for money just a few minutes from the main promenade. We look forward to coming back!

A very small cozy restaurant away from the tourist center. Cozy warm even in winter thanks to the fireplace with an open fire. The dishes are of the highest quality, the service attentive and personable and the prices are also right. Definitely worth a visit if you want to be enchanted with culinary delights in a quiet location.
