Excellent service! I dropped Sarel, my African Grey parrot, off at 8:30 to have his wing feathers trimmed, vitamin shot, etc. At 10:00 I could collect him again. Now normally he is not a happy chappie after such a visit to the vet, but this time he was truly in good spirits. Thank you!

We had a mini emergency with our boy on Sunday and called the emergency line Dr Truter met us at the practice and ensured that our boy was cared for. She called on Monday morning to give me feedback on some medication we were trying to find in stock and to check on Riley. Real care, such a pleasure to have interacted with this practice.

Undeniably the best vet my furry kids have ever been to. Always makes you feel welcome, treats animals like their own and never makes you feel like you are wasting their time. Dr Elke and her team are the best! My family and I highly recommend them!

They displayed a lack of urgency to help my puppy when he had a fractured leg. They prolonged the process instead taking an xray the day I brought him in the first time. After results of the xrays showed that there was a fracture, granted I didnt see the xrays myself nor did I know the severity of the fracture because I was just told telephonically that there is a fracture, I asked what are the options for my puppy and the first thing the vet said was is to amputate his leg rather than telling me that there is procedure that could be done that could heal the fracture. I feel like this was a very insensitive and unsympathetic way to treat a uninformed client that could cover the procedure because my puppy has medical insurance and left a bitter taste in my mouth that some that needs to help animals would make such a suggestion without informing me about the options that are available to save my puppys leg.

Staff are amazing. Caring and compassionate.

We had to put our little Jack Russell, Archie, down, aged 14. He had gone blind and deaf and was forever having accidents. Elke was unbelievably compassionate with both Archie and my wife and i. I was so devastated i couldnt say a word. She gave us time with him, without rushing us.We chose a private cremation and this is one area i would have liked more reassurance on, since it would be easy for this process to be crooked. I would hope Elke has gone through the process to make sure that the ashes you receive back are indeed your pets and not just from some conmans braai. Anyhow....we got his ashes back in a small wooden box. We trust these are indeed his since he lives on in our hearts.

Insufficient competence of vet to diagnose and treat parrots not conveyed to us with appointment. Medicine was immediately rejected by parrot (vomiting), and few days later died. We were not advised of costs or the nature of feedback for post-mortem, both of which turned out to be a total waste of time and money. Three diversely different reasons were advanced as to cause of death, and several requests to the vet (Schwelnus) to explain the conflicting feedback she flatly refused to answer. Highly frustrating experience and heartbreak, and on top of it being threatened with legal action because Im demanding a proper explanation before I settle the bill. Wont recommend to anyone.

We are so grateful to Dr Ruth from Vetcare animal clinic in George for saving our Pitbulls life after he got bitten by a full grown puffadder and caring for him over Christmas. She monitored him and kept us informed constantly ... hes really precious to us and were thrilled to have him home again. He looks more like a Shar pei at the moment but were sure hell be his handsome self again soon 😄🤗💖

Rudas grooming and puppy school is the best!

My pitbull Titan was bitten by a puff adder, thook him to VetCare on Sunday 23rd December Dr Ruth administered anti-venom serum and placed him on a drip, she monitored his progress for three days including Christmas day.... Titan is home now and although still swollen will make full recovery!
