What a delightful little museum smack bang on the corners of York street and Courtenay street, in the middle of George. It hosts several themes from wood, dolls, insects, antiques, etc.Staff are very friendly and helpful. It is amazing that such a place operates without charging any fees, but I suppose this approach is also responsible for the decline of the facility, because they arent receiving any fees from visitors.Visit this gem before it vanishes completely.
The museum is mostly art and a few other things like old typewriters, phones and wood work.I was expecting something more. The staff was very friendly and they told us they will wait till we are done before closing.During covid they close at 3pm
Very interesting, some nice old world stuff and informative plaques explaining the history of George and the immediate area, all based in the old Drosdty house, which (according to what I read) was the original residence of the governor of George.
Beautiful art work on display!!!
Beautiful Art exhibitions!
Nyce place with rich history
The museum takes you back in time with some really antique exhibits on display. Some of the history of George is wonderfully illustrated and captured in script, paintings and photographs. A nice way to spend an hour or two exploring and learning with an appreciation for history and the artifacts diaplayed. Upkeep and maintenance of this wonderful building can be improved. A very stiff feel created by the staff and some friendlier faces would be a welcome addition.
Excellent. Broad and comprehensive history of the area. Loved the art expo as well
The Sayers Hall, named after the founder of a museum in George, is a great place for art exhibitions. The art on show is changed most months and showcases local artists.
Really enjoyed it. Very good exhibits

As already written by others, it is more of a hodgepodge of different things that sometimes have even remotely to do with George. Even if the operators or employees have made a lot of effort here, this is nothing that is really special. A change for 60-90 minutes, as there isnt so much to see in George now.
Very instructive
