This is a piece of Durban right here on the garden route! All the spices that you need to make your own curry, or sit down and travel to India on the aromas surrounding you. The friendly smiles of Udesh and Sangeetha made us welcome.

We originally stopped to try the chai tea and ended up discovering the best butter chicken in town! What a gem. Highly recommend

Amazing tea and samoosas, loved the cheese and corn ones and freshly ground spices for the masala ChaiThe cardomam Chai and patha rolls was a hit with hubby. Lovely background Indian music as well with a fire place for the cold rainy day 👌🏼 if we werent rushing to the airport we would have had lunch here, will be back next time to try out the lunch items!

Best tasting mutton curry. Lovely breakfast and good service. I gave them 5 stars but unfortunately having been there twice since my review and their change in trading times I have two bad meals. First my breakfast after asking for soft eggs I was served overdone hard eggs, the second batch almost raw with pieces of black bits on the bottom. Tonight I went for curry only to be told sorry no mutton curry your choice is chicken or veg. Sorry this is a curry restaurant/take aways so surely during these tough times you dont want to turn customers away because you dont have food.

Chai & Spice is a charming establishment and the food is brilliant value for money. I enjoyed a delicious beans curry and rice with potato samosas while my son enjoyed the sweet meats. The box of Chai tea bags we bought is a real treat. There is a variety of fresh spices for sale which are displayed in beautiful glass bottles. The friendly owners and staff go out of their way to help the customers. I highly recommend Chai and Spice.

Excellent curry. Very fresh taste. Extra chillies for the brave and yoghurt for the more delicate palates. Recommend.
