I was só relieved to happen upon this cozy little eatery, since I could find no place else where my lap dogs would be welcomed in George. Enroute to Pretoria, I had no choice but to bring my furries along.Travel Bugs assigned a specific cozy corner in their garden for patrons with a furry friend, where my dogs could roam amid shrubs and ferns.Service was attentive, friendly and prompt and our food was delicious. The bacon, cheese and mushroom beef burgers with rustic fries were well prepared and sumptuous. The breakfast was flavoursome and satiating, and the portions were generous.Refreshing home made Apple Ice Tea, a good coffee brew and a gourmet Salted Caramel shake were all enjoyable.Moderately priced set amid calming surrounds set the right tone to continue along our travels.Highly recommended for value for money and a pleasant dining experience for the whole family.

Travel Bugs just have the biggest selection of gorgeous food combinations on their menu than any coffee shop or restaurant I have ever visited in South Africa. The lovely back garden outside eating area also needs special mentioning.

What a wonderful lunch on a cold and rainy day in George. I had the Kassler chop , mash, and roast butternut. Compliments to the chef. Everyone elses food looked amazing too. Well done. Highly recommended for good food and friendly service.

This is a great coffee shop. A real buzzy vibe, lots of customers coming and going, a chatty atmosphere and interesting and appetizing menu. The staff are friendly and service is pretty good. We enjoyed the piping hot coffee on a cold and wet day. Just what the dr ordered to warm the chilled body. This little gem is always busy, with support from the regular locals from George and surrounding areas. The carrot cake is most delicious and fresh with the yummiest cream cheese icing.

The best kept secret in George. Wonderfull tea garden at the back. Great for breakfasts and lunches or just to have a coffee. A favourite with the locals since it is so well hidden. Be sure to check out the tea garden at the back of the restaurant.

Stopped here for breakfast. Not at all what I expected - from the outside it looks like all the other boring shops but step inside and be amazed. Nice garden at the back to sit and enjoy your meal. Real food with a great blackboard menu as well. Would definitely come again.

One of my favourite coffee shops!!!! Very convenient when you have somebody in hospital or receiving chemo therapy at the oncology department! But do not stop in the front section! Walk right through to the garden section! Everything is delicious! Banting menu! Delicious coffee! Extremely well trained and friendly waitresses!!!! Just a pleasure to enjoy anything here!!!! I always am sad to leave this coffee shop!!!!!

Wow, best coffee shop in George. I have to visit on every trip to George, my favourite is the open sandwich with chicken and avocado. Great coffee, always busy so that speaks volumes for the quality of the food. Staff are also so lovely and friendly.

Excellent service and food are the best

A local coffee shop in the centre of town. It is quite deceiving as it looks at first glance small but it opens up to small but very nice back garden. The food is well priced and there is a great variety. The banting menu has a nice decent variety to choose from with nice healthy choices to choose from.

Travel Bugs are situated in the centre of George just off York Street next to medical facilities. I am sure that lots of visitors to the hospital are regular guest. Walking into the restaurant you will find inside seating, and pass the open kitchen to the courtyard area where you can sit outside. You should find the prices reasonable, a good selection on the menu and the food are tastefully presented. The service is friendly. There is a restroom and I would say it is wheelchair friendly, although it might be a little difficult to move around inside due to the tables being close together. There are plenty of parking in this area, but because of the other businesses and the medical facilities, a open space can be a problem.

Fast friendly cafe and restaurant with a wide range of travel literature available for browsing. Menu is interesting and varied and they can do take away as well.
