Came to the shop with some gardening supplies and was slightly disappointed as the lady was unaware of specific plant we were looking for only to search the area and find the exact plant were looking for. Otherwise staff at till and parking was very easy. Great store and seems like has alot to offer but didnt have time to view the whole store.

Excellent service. The friendly cashier explained how the Builders Warehouse online store works when I told her that I would prefer online shopping. She was friendly, pleasant and helpful. A announcement routinely asked the staff to sanitize. My hands were also sanitized by a friendly security guard at the door. Everyone in the store was wearing neat fitting masks. Very impressed.

A large store with all your DIY needs in one place. Not always the cheapest butdoes have some nice bargains if you watch out for the specials. Ample parking and onveninetly situated at the Garden Route Mall.

Builders is great on Wednesdays if you are a senior citizen as one gets a 10% discount on all items. The staff are always helpful and eager to assist. They are open seven days a week. The staff at the painting center are always friendly and give good advise.

I give Builders Warehouse 3 stars because of the following reason.When go and shop at Builders Warehouse you can never find someone to help you in the aisles then you walk around the shop looking for someone that can help you with a query. The person then walks with you to the aisle you want to purchase something from. You then ask their advice a product 9 times out 10 they then say they are sure they will get the person that works in that department to help me. You then wait again for that person to arrive which in many case never comes to help you. Thats when I walk out of the shop and go to the opposition. What pity because Builders Warehouse is such a lovely one stop shop for all your DIY products and much more. Builders Warehouse please train your staff to stay in their departments and if they need to leave for ever reason they should get a person to stand in for them while are not their. Hope to see that this gets attention soon. By the way it is not only me that has experienced this problem other clients seem to feel the same as me when talking to them while waiting for a person to give us help

George Store, Saturday 05.06, In store service s ub sub standard.2.Phone message states all calls recorded, then all is compliant, next holiday destinationad , Then after all this no answer on repeated calls.Just another reflection on poor management and service.3. At till we are informed about compulsory card requirements being implemented for future purchases.Please if you could clarify this.My vote did not even warrant a star at all.To be honest this George store service has been sub standard for months.Management needs to take staff too H+L hardware to learn what service is about.

When I shop at Builders, I must say I really like your store, I can almost never get assistance but rather I must walk and look for someone willing to assist. Your staff avoid customers. Check your cameras......then when collecting cement of bigger purchases in the yard, they will look at the customers and merely continue on their cellphones. Not good for business. Brush up on manners and you will attract much more customers.

Ridiculous that you cannot contact your local branch directly. Makes is very difficult to get the needed information.

Bought wooden skirtings. When asked for something to tie it down they said I must buy my own rope. Nobody offered to assist me and my mother in loading the 13x3m skirting boards we had to do it ourselves

In this day and age we are all rushing somewhere to perform our duties and responsibilities. BW helps by staying open on a Saturday afternoon. I was grateful to the staff member who assisted me so professionally... with a smile. This treatment is just a bonus on top of the vast ranges of stock which BW carries. I wear a plastic mask from my chin to the top of my nose and they would not allow me in unless I put on a cloth mask even though with my mask I am allowed in every shop. Nobody has turned me away.

Gershwin was super helpful and knowledgeable in the power tools section. Explained howcto use my circular saw to do a job i was going to buy a router for.

The place would be great if it wasnt for the reluctant staff members. I went up to a lady at the reception to ask for the location of something and she blatantly told me that she only answers the phone and she cant help me. The prices on some things are also higher as compared to their competitors but overall their selection cant be faulted. Some staff members have been kind and helpful but the overwhelming majority was reluctant to help.

Pathetic Service... After waiting for a long time for someone to assist me, I actually called the store. After holding on for a long time while they tried to locate someone to assist me, I just left. Obviously customers are not important to them. Will Builders follow in the footsteps of other chain stores and go bankrupt? If they carry on like this, maybe they will...

For me this Builders is like a kid being in a candy shop. Always helpful, huge, great variety. Excellent service. Any problem with a product they replace it immediately...

I love this Store. We are not perfect but excellent.

Builders might have more glitz than any other DIY store, but their prices are terribly expensive!! Rather go to Build-it - they are way way cheaper!!!! And almost everytime I shop there, there is some computer glitch and then have to wait patiently for the system to reboot ( which can take up to half an hour). No thanks - this is a bad place. Rather take your money somewhere else.

Wide range and more or less a one stop hardware store. But.....they have intermittent supplies for rotary tool accessories and they cannot tell you when or if they will get a specific item. I never have that problem at Akkers Hardware. If Akkers doesnt have it in then they will get it.

Everytime I go to builders, oh we out of stock. Its like the place is closing down. Maybe struggling because of covid-19, but why are the other DIY companies not having this problem? Sad because builders was the place to go, now its an after thought.

You will find most DIY items here that you might need...even the ones for larger home projects and projects.

No customer service at all. And not the first time I experience bad service at this store. All staff are busy on their cellphones no one is interested in helping customers. If you dare ask them something, they either ignore you or are suddenly busy and run of in another direction. This happened a couple of months ago, again on thursday afternoon and again today.

Not DIY friendly. Dont allow for buying 2m plumbing pipes, and sales person referred my to Plumlink, where I spend a substantial amount.

I don not have much luck with Builders in George. I seldom find what I am looking for. There is also nobody that works there who will ask if you need any help...

Staff have always been reluctant to actually help customers here. When you can track one down, more often than not youll be given dodgy advice. As long as you know what youre looking for and where to look youre OK. Before lock down I asked for assistance in buying paint, specifically asked for a Matt enamel. Was given some by their resident expert , painted my kitchen with it, every time I wipe down the surfaces the paint comes off, and it wasnt cheap. They can be pricey so check prices first.

Called in advance and handled well. Arrived and quickly got served. Used ladies bathroom and was clean.

Not the nicest Builders I have been in. Many article had no prices. No sales person near the power tools.

Always a pleasure shopping here, the staff are very friendly, the shop is spacious and well laid out with fully packed shelves.

Sales service good, the prices on roof paint were much, much higher than the prices at the big retailer in Mosselbay, R250 per drum, I could have saved another 10% on discount too. I am really disappointed, lost R500, will not buy anything from them again.

One has to search for assistants, then when you are excited to find one they are not as excited to be found, to the point where theyre happy to try and FOB you off as quickly as possible to another assistant.Most of these assistants have little to no knowledge of the areas in which they are supposed to be able to assist you in.After a very frustrating 50 minutes I have left my trolley and walked out I would rather pay that little bit extra at a hardware where there is knowledge, expertise and a willingness to assist... The upside is that Builders Warehouses prices are less and less competitive. Cest la Vie.

Builders was always helpfullToday when I asked if I could buy a white cabinet they said it was on promotion but nowhere on the shelves it said that it was on promotionSo I called for a manger. A big variety of goods

Took some searching, but we eventually got most of what we wanted. Never found the bicycle tyre repair kit, even after being sent to various Isles.

Bought 2 table tops in store. We payed for next day delivery and its now day 4. Every day is just excuse after excuse. I regret not supporting the local non corporate shops.

Ones stop shop for almost annything. Huge range of tools, building material, paint even gardening and plants. Staff could be more helpfull.

Whilst the shop was clean, there seemed very few people on duty as no-one was around to assist, leaving me so frustrated that I eventually walked out
