A true example of excellent hospitality.Without doubt one of the favorite hotels/resorts.Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and general manager, our names were mentioned on the board/welcoming letter and we had the freedom to explore and move freely like it was our own home space. The staff was extremely friendly, even build a cute outdoor gym just for myself and partner to enjoy while absorbing the sun. The facilities are absolutely amazing for the explorer, athlete or simply just an adventurer.I highly recommend Ludus Magnus

The best active getaway one could ask for. From swimming, running, and cycling Ludus definitely didnt disappoint. The grounds are beautiful. The attention to detail in everything is superb as well, it definitely felt like a home away from home.

Ludus Magnus is a haven of serenity.The views of mountains, landscape and pool are spectacular! The staff (Alecia, Ernest and Julius) went out of their way to give us the best experience possible. Our glasses were topped with amazing wine at all time and the chef prepared 5 star meals. We can highly recommend this amazing place!

Definitely the biggest development in Franschoek bringing hospitality to the next level of opulence..🎩

Some friends and I spent a night here and we were all blown away by what it had to offer. Weve stayed in a number of villas but nothing quite compares to this.The house itself is beautifully constructed with all the cool and quirky furnishings. From the spectacular pieces of locally sourced wood furniture, to the outdoor pizza oven, to the Le Creuset kitchenware; its evident that every effort has been made to ensure quality throughout the villa. With 8 mountain-facing bedrooms, a kitchen of dreams, and gorgeous open plan living areas, it’s hard not to feel relaxed. Not to mention the 25m pool where I could easily spend a whole day.The 500 hectares of land surrounding the house are also exquisite. It includes a rugby field, private beach, boma and picnic area, and a lake with a private island just to top it off. I also love that it’s completely off the grid and they care about maintaining sustainability.The service was just as excellent. The Ludus staff are really friendly and helpful, and made us feel at home right away. Can’t recommend this place enough; it’s a perfect escape and I can’t wait to go back.

Impressive venue!! 500 hectares of Franschhoek nature. The river deck and private beach was an experience we will never forget. The place wvn has Olympic- sized training fascillities including 50m swimming lanes in a dam.

Dream place we had a wonderful stay, the building is located in the heart of nature surrounded by vines and other trees, beautiful pool even a small lake, great room, friendly and efficient staff we will certainly come back 👍😎
