First visit to a roadhouse in a long time. Found this gem of a place with an amazing vibe..Service and food is good quality. Make sure u order the house special..Kota..with which ever filling of your choice..Check menu for options.The milkshakes are definitely a favorite.My next visit..will definitely be milkshake first then foodPs..make sure you get a seat upstairs. The car park looks nice..but I preferred the view from the top

Difficulty comes with the parking. Ifnyou havent been to roadhouse, one can get confused quite easily. I do however, like the enthusiasm of the staff members and the speed at which the items are made. Never had a bad experience at Kota Joe Edenvale. Food is amazing, staff is great, Manager is Top Class. I only had one BAD time at Kota Joe.....that what when they were closed during lockdown 😂😂😂. Keep up the awesome food and Vibe.

I love me a good Zoo Biscuit anything!!! KJ has an amazing Zoo Biscuit Milkshake, you must try it if you like Zoo Biscuits! We also had the Passion fruit Shake and that took me straight back to my childhood and the Peach-Passion Jive ice creams that used to be around then.

A totally cool casual dining experience in the middle of Edenvale! Kota Joe Roadhouse has undergone full renovation and full transformation for the better!! Premised on the 1950s/1960s drive in/drive through dining experience (you can drive in, order from your car, have your food brought to your car and consume your meal all in the parking lot while listening to music and with the benefit of a full screen in front of you) with the added benefit of a sit in area, accompanied by yummy American orientated meals (burgers, wings, gourmet hotdogs, pizzas and jazzed up fries) and the famous Kota Joes signature Kota meal options, this place is well worth the visit! Of course, the absolute clincher are the fantastic desert options starting with their amazing and totally out of the ordinary milkshake options! They also serve waffles on a stick, normal ice creams and even freshly made candy floss and popcorn! A meal and a gourmet milkshake for a party of four totaled about R467,20 & while that does sound like a lot, the quantity and quality of the meals and drinks softened the blow!👍🏼NB. There was every intention to take pictures of the divine milkshakes but these were consumed before the photos could be taken!😁

Awesome Milkshakes, but the 40-60min wait in a boiling hot car is Kak... I guess the only option is going inside and sitting down if you plan on cooling off with a milkshake.

Id say an open, all black, tarred road house attracts alot of heat and could do with a shade net or something in the sweltering summer heat. Not pleasant when waiting for food. But the crispy chicken wraps are delicious!

The atmosphere is retro. As you drive in you are transported into 40s morden setting. Kitch pop colours and several gaming tables. Ideal for covid dates and intimate get to gatherings.I dont like the Kota options as a South African I feel more market research to be invested into this. Shape and filling are just as important the name..Today I treated myself with their 8 BBQ wings and I dont think its good value for money at R80 without chips is a rip off..Their flavour profile is smokey sweet and get the munchies satisfied

The parking is enough for in car service and the searing area is amazing with upstairs lounge for the view. No regrets

I was asked to move my car at the roadhouse literally as I was about to take my first mouthful. This was as the food practically touched my lips.We ordered soda fountain and got soda floats instead. The hotdog sausage was more or less an enterprise vienna and the chilli mince was fatty and tasteless.They really rushed us out there as they brought our food takeaway which we didnt ask for and they brought the card machine with the food. This was at 7pm, 2 hours before closing.

Wow! What an awesome experience. It was our 1st time and we thought of trying it out after all the rave reviews. The service was quick and efficient. The retro milkshakes were delicious! We tried the chicken mayo with bacon as well as the sweet chilli chicken kotas. Both were amazing! We also tried the cheese, bacon and BBQ sauce loaded fries which were insanely good. Overall well worth a visit. We loved everything! We will definitely be back to try more of the menu! ❤

This place is fantastic in every way. You don’t need to get out of the car - though I believe you can if you want to - there is indoor seating available. It’s a true roadhouse. The waitrons come to your car to take your order, there is a big screen in the front (I would imagine they play movies sometimes), and you get served and can eat in your vehicle. It was really busy when we went so we couldn’t really sit and eat in the parking provided and had to park just outside the property. Oh - and the food was really reasonably priced and tasted superb!

10/10, I love this place!! One of my favorite places for food and fun! Theres something oddly nostalgic about sitting in the car as evening rolls in, the string lights come on, the air is cool, the music is vibing, the atmosphere is chilled. Life is good. Reminds me of simpler times in high school when all you were worried about was good food and great music at the house party with close friends. Now all Kota Joes needs is a beach and Ill gladly move in XD

The food is good , and a great selection to choose.Portion sizes standard. Prices went up recently , and not by a coup4le of Rs , but by 10% - 14% . They have become expensive , No need for the prices they charge now. I wont be going back ! it annoys me when establishments rip you off , especially when you know what the prices were.

This place is amazing. The portions are good and you sit in the car and eat. You get served in the car. Its roadhouse. Just how i like them. The staff is friendly. Their food is amazing. The Kotas were really tasty, although the atchaar had too many pits. Id recommend that you order without it (the atchaar) if possible.

I come regularly and tonight especially month end when the service is very good but I could see the Manager was not fully up to speed and I had to wait for ever to get my take away meal for one person.

From what it used to be in quality, no yesterdays meals served. Not good at all. No flavor, dry and total disappointment.Had I not made this a take away, I would have returned it.But instead drove home to fourways and was not going back.My dog got my meal

Staff are friendly. Its a road diner experience. I have been past it many time, finally decided to try it out. The food was ok. Personally did not enjoy the Kotas but the chips and milkshakes were great.

Love this place, do not leave without trying their top deck milkshake, it is awesome. They take a bit long to prepare the food but it is worth the wait, the vibe and videos keep you entertained. The various kotas are awesome and staff are absolutely friendly and food is reasonably priced.

I really enjoyed their retro shake, the best shake Ive never had. The cheesy garlic chips wasnt as expected, the chips was not seasoned and the cheese sauce wasnt tasty I even had to ask for salt to at least be able to enjoy them though it was still a struggle to stomach them.

I am a regular customer who always supports Kota Joe edenvale. The milkshakes are amazing today was the first time I decided to purchase a pizza for my little one and the pizza was burnt underneath and undercooked on the inside. We went back to the drive in and asked that it be replaced the second attempt at the pizza was the same. When asked to speak the manager we were asked in a very unfriendly way what do you want me to do?. No surprise we took a refund and took our business elsewhere. In addition to that our milkshake order was subpar and the loaded chips had a random spoonful of crushed raw garlic in them when this was not the order (cheesy bacon fries). Highly disappointed at the quality of service, sad that a local business which is now booming has slacked so badly on their customer service and quality of products

Nice, old fashioned roundhouse where you can park outside and the waitrons take your order and bring it to your car. There is also a seated area available with lots of parking. The milkshakes are incredible and I highly recommend the iced zoo biscuits milkshake.
