I visited this restaurant when I was in a wheelchair. The staff were extremely accomodating. The only issue is the location of the wheelchair toilet, not very wheelchair friendly.

I will be honest and straight forward, I was there on a Sunday night out with my partner, it was fairly quite had a handful of patrons. But what I have observed most establishment at that time so close to knock off (which is 21:00) service levels drop.1.We were not welcomed the normal way, we had to stand there write out the Covid19 sheet took our temperatures (I do not know if thats the new way)2.Had to stand and look for the waiter3. Table not cleaned before we sat, waiter asked my partner to help her wipe the table with the wet wipe.4. Please do ask staff to drop noise levels, they speak above patrons, I mean there is normal noise but hey they were loud...Thanks.

It was my nieces birthday and her choice of place to go for supper was the Spur. As this one has a bigger play area we decided to go there. I phoned earlier in the day to confirm if they were open and to double check if the kids area was operational due to covid. O was told by a very polite gentleman that they close at 19:00 and the play area is open. We arrived at about 17:45 and at 17:55 the kids came and told us that they had been kicked out of the play area as it closes at 18:00. Most people go to Spur because it is child friendly. Why close the kids area before the restaurant even closes? Very disappointed. Needless to say, we didnt stick around and went to find somewhere more accommodating

The food was really good, the only reason I gave this 2 stars is because I was highly disappointed that we had to stand in the back of the line having someone in a wheelchair and it wasnt easily accessible at all. We waited quite some time for our food and drinks to arrive considering it was not busy due to social distancing. Our waitress couldnt be found most of the time and we kept dealing with different people. A little disheartening as we usually have a good experience at Spur and love the food.

Great time to share a meal and celebrate with your friends and family

What a great experience from entrance until exit. The waiters were courteous and served us greatly👌🏾. Even the manager of the reaturant kept on checking on us which made us feel at ease and enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. Even when the waiters shift came to an end, he informed us politely and gave us options without saying we must leave. Great experience 😊

We were welcomed and ask just to wait a few minutes because of covid only so many tables were available and as people leave they have to make sure table is cleaned and sanitized we were taken to our seats in a friendly way and sat down the service was good and the food was excellent we had a perfect evening thanks Spur.

The food quantity has dropped ..i had 8 wings ..smallest wings with no chips for a very high price and the steak for my partner was like a joke..the only good thing was the service by the waiter..after paying 500 i left with my family hungry..see me again there n shoot me

Limited Menus copared to other Spurs but food nice

Im so disappointed! I ordered for delivery through the Mr D app.My childs lucky packet was not sent. I specified no tomato on the burger but got it anyway.I ordered a half portion chicken schnitzel with hot veg.... I need a microscope to find it all and that basically R100.Not ordering again.

Usually order take out. The quantity of food does not justify the price. They will send you a huge box full of chips but everything else is just a waste of money. And the meat are sometimes still bloody. When you spend 600 to 800 on take outs, you expect your meat to be at least bigger than your hand. Never happens. What a rip off. This place should be closed or management should be fired. Very very disappointed.

Pathetic service, ordered online using the Click and Collect feature, when I got there the workers told me they had received my order but mistakenly ignored it. I had to wait for them to get my meal ready. They misunderstood the offer which made me feel like a liar. Seemingly the workers dont even know their own menus. Never going there again. Only gave them 2 stars because the food was spur quality.

Spending time at this place with my friends was nothing but a pleasourus experience, the waiters were the kindest and supplied us with everything that we had wanted, most importantly all safety precautions were taken into account😊😊.. the food was delicious and baie lekker 😆😆..

Ordered fish and chips to cpmpare with other sea food restaurants and I was very impressed,I might just go to spur in future for a proper blown away seafood experience.

Strict Covid rules. Helpful, friendly. Did not wait long for food. Staff was well trained and mannered.

We had breakfast there 3 times during our stay in East Londen. The food was good. Staff friendly and service very good. A bit disappointed that their coffee machine did not work on the last visit and therefore americano not available.

Where do we start..Arrived at entrance..5/6 staff members standing around .Stood around for 5 min to be seated..no assistance at all.Found our own table..15min later still no menus..hunted down our waitress which turned out to be completely disinterested. Told her to find another job as this one she clearly was not interested in.5 min later one of the managers served our table.We were positioned very near the serving hatches.Food was piling up and no waiters were collecting.Another manager was having a full go at one of the waiters..the waiter totally disrespectful towards the Manager.My wife went with the kids to the bathroom.4 waiters chatting away on cell phones and not even moving so my kids could use the facilities.She had to ask them to move.Two other waiters texting while standing at the serving hatch while another manager was trying to co ordinate the chaos.All this amounted to our food being ice cold..wifes steak over done..not medium rare..etc..The poor Manager serving us could not stop apologizing.The general attitude of the staff was appalling..Not a place Ill be taking my family to in the near future.

The service was slightly lacking, with little enthusiasm from the waiter. Wings were hard/not tender and tasted old. Steak was a bit chewy and the chips and onion ring portions were smaller than usual. The restaurant was quite loud, which was expected as it is a family friendly restaurant. Otherwise pleasant experience.

The only reason I keep coming back is for my 3year old who likes playing here. There is always something out of stock that we were never informed of when we order. You only learn about it when they bring your order and you ask about it. Need to improve service and quality of food.

The food was great it just that I had to wait for over 50 minutes for my food and it wasnt even a full day. My waiter disappeared/ forgot me and I had 3 different people tell me theyre coming with my order which was just fries. I was super disappointed.

Update.:Spur contacted me and apologized they will give is another meal and a voucher to give us a better experience Thanks Spur!My husband and i planned a date night last week SaturdayWe went to spur to get dinner probably between 20h00 and 20h30We ordered burgers with the rib patty.We had a really good waiter. The food came then we realised the chips was cold and definitely not fresh and the onion rings was burnt. This was still fine but when my husband started to eat his burger he realized the RIB patty was still raw. Both of us lost our appetite and called a manager.The manager said he will give my husband a new meal and replace my chips and onion rings. I asked if they could put my burger in a to go box and also the meal they are prepping for my hubby. They said they will make a new meal for me to so they can make up for it and take our drinks(R44) off the bill.I was completely fine with this as this was a very nice offer. We paid for the food but not for the drinks. We got home and this is what we saw....They did make a full portion of really good onion rings and replaced my husbands chips and onion rings... The burgers was a different story. They took the pattys of both of our burgers cooked it some more and placed it on new buns no sauce on buns or pattys. It was really tasteless.This was a very disappointing experience as we both usually love Spurs food. We are new to East London so this was our first experience at Spur Las Vegas

Normally my favorite place with great service as well as food , however my last visit my meal took just over 40 min to arrive and was ice cold even my chips were stale from standing.... it was busy so I understood the waiting period but the cold food was a disappointment.

Service is not good, and the food for that price point could be a lot better.Ordered a small breakfast, toast arrived 15 minutes after the food and was cold and soggy, I proceeded to ask for my bill, waited 10 minutes for my waiter to return and ask me a second time would I like my bill.

Of the Spurs weve been to around the country, this outlet has a special atmosphere. There food is also beter than the others with respect to preparation, amount and presentation. Value for money it certainly is. The staff is also friendly and presentable.

Once again went to spur for breakfast and ordered coffee to be told once again the coffee machines are broken 3 week now no coffee is it just my bad timing that everytime I come there the coffee machine is broken. This is unacceptable. I walked out never ever again.

We had the most traumatic experience at Spur Hemmingways Mall.My sister took my nephew out to play at Spur Hemmingways mall and my nephew went missing under their supervision. She took him to the play area, where she was told they would look after him while they find a table for her, she then got a table then went and checked up on him but was no where to be found. Worst part was that when they were notified that the child was missing, they showed no sense of urgency and were going about their business and were focused on making sure that they were not to be blamed and claimed that they were not responsible and that they were checking the cctv cameras. They did not even try and refer us to the securities or offer to help look for the child. Fine! the child went out of the playroom, but how do they let a child walkout of the restaurant when there are people standing in the front door attending to people walking in and out of the restaurant??Really not impressed and really disappointed by the whole incident. Still traumatised. If you are going to claim that the restaurant is not responsible for the child then rather tell parents that they should look after their own child and not have anyone claiming to be supervising the play area because that is misleading.

Having a shocking experience. We came in and there were quite a few open tables. After walking in passed what seemed to be the manager and a few other staff members huddled up at the entrance counter. Walked to the back right corner and took a seat in the quieter side. We were not greeted by not even one of the staff members. We waited over 10mins before I called a passing waiter and asked for some menus. She looked at us and said ok. She then failed to bring the menus after being asked. Just as I was about to bring it to the managers attention our waiter finally arrived. Shocked as the restaurant wasnt even full to its capacity and there were plenty of staff on duty. The mens toilets were filthy and the cappuccino was barely like warm.
